The people castigating and calling you names don't know a hoot about you. You're merely a Mr Somebody to them, they don't know your face, where you work and where you live. So why take so much worry upon yourself over an online issue with inexperienced youths as chief judges?

I got married at a young age and I faced similar challenges like the Op, or even worse, but there was NEVER a time I allowed my neighbours, friends and colleagues to arbitrate my relationship. In fact, I had to end my former relationship because the girl kept reporting whatever we did to her busybody friends. These are what to expect in a relationship, you have to expect hiccups from time to time but it requires maturity on your part as the man to make decisions that will favour you and your partner without allowing a third party interference. You have no right to make claims over a girl you're just dating, say mere girlfriend, not even a fiancee. When your relationship is not clearly defined everyone has the freedom to whatever they like. So, before you call her your woman make sure you put a ring on it.

I expect a grownup, mature lady who has a boyfriend to be able to know or predict the outcome of their relationship. Nobody is forcing you to stay with him, so if things are not working out for you, announce your breakup and move on. At this point, I expect you not to get jealous in case you find out he's cheating on you. In fact, that's the fastest way to hit the exit door. But if you do, it means you love him, and I don't know how to tell someone who is in love to stop loving. Best bet is to always be frank with him and avoid doing things without taking him along.
