Hey guys. I'm one of those candidates that had the dual scholarship status issue , and was asked to confirm whether I was holding a scholarship with Chevron. After my reply, I didn't hear back from them since May and assumed they screened me out. But I received this mail from them just yesterday:
Congratulations

Following your performance at our scholarship selection test conducted on Saturday December 5, 2015, we are pleased to offer you an award of the 2015/2016 NNPC/TOTAL National Merit Scholarship and your confirmation and attestation that you do not currently hold any other scholarship from any oil company

Find attached scanned copy of your Award letter and Acceptance Form.

The original hard copies of the two documents are being dispatched via courier to you through your Head of Department. Please check with him/her within the coming days to collect them.

Please read the documents thoroughly and conform to all the instructions

Among other instructions, you are required to complete the Acceptance Form and return to us within two (2) weeks from the date of this email. Failure to return the Acceptance Form duly completed and signed within this period voids the offer. Late return is not entertained and we shall not enter into any further correspondence with you.

Please read “Conditions of Award” on the scholarship portal for full details of this award.

Ensure that your Head of Department or your Dean of Faculty or your Dean of Student Affairs, whichever is available/accessible to you within this period, completes and signs their portion of the Acceptance Form. Your Form is incomplete and void without their attestation that you are a current registered student of the school. Do not send an incomplete Form back to us.

To ensure that we receive your duly completed and signed Acceptance Form on time, you may send a scanned copy by email to scholarships.csredu@total.com while you send the hardcopy by post/courier to

Nice breakdown here Boss! grin
aysuccess99:

Okay. Hmmn, basically in 100 level, you will be offering some courses with the sciences.
This is the list of the courses you're going to be doing in your 100 level. But I'll like to divide it base on First semester and second semester courses.

First semester

CHE157- 4 unit.
ZOO111-3units.
BOT121-3units.
AGE110-3units.
GES101-3units.

Second semester.

PHY101-4units.
GES107-2units.
ZOO112-3units.
CHE177-3units.
CHE127-3units.
BOT141-3units.

And note, you will do CHE195[\b] both in first semester and second semester.

Let me give you a bit breakdown of the courses.
[b]CHE157
: The title of the course is PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY. It deals basically with she fundamental calculations in chemistry though it has some few theoretical applications in it.
They will recommend Fundamental in Physical Chemistry to you guys. Hmmn, the book is sold in UI, but you can get it from past seniors.
ZOO111: The title of the course is PRINCIPLE OF ANIMAL BIOLOGY. The course is kinda interesting, but you need to attend almost all their classes for this class and also don't play with their practicals. The lecturers may give you slides and they may choose not to. But you can get any good A level Biology textbook to complement the lecture note. They will recommend some textbooks for you, I guess Campbell and Reece textbook is there.
AGE: Hmmn, this course has caused a lot of nightmare for 100 level students in the Faculty of Agriculture. It is even been equated with CHE157, but I'll tell you that it's possible for someone to get an A or a 7point in that course. The title of the course is MATHEMATICS IN AGRICULTURE. It deals with basically fundamental mathematics like sets, algebraic expansion but it also deals with some fundamental Further Mathematics like calculus, but basically, all what you're going to be doing is the application of this mathematics principle in Agriculture. The lecturer will give you guys slide after he has rounded off all his lectures. But I'll recommend that you use some further mathematics textbook so as to get the basis. You can get Schaum Outline of Mathematics in Agriculture from any past senior.
BOT121: The title of this course is INTRODUCTORY BIOLOGY OF PHANEROGRAMS. It has to do with the study of cells, some vital parts of the plants like the study of roots, leaves, stems. You'll also do Cell division. The course is a very interesting one. And also don't joke with the practical classes because you never can tell if they are going to use it to award you guys marks or not.
GES101: The title of the course is USE OF ENGLISH. It has to do basically with English language. You don't have to worry about any textbook because you'll be compelled to buy the GES101 textbook unless you won't register your course. That aside, you will be taught how to write essays, letters and articles. Also you'll be taught some rule of grammar like concord etc.
This is just the little breakdown of what you're gonna do in 100 level as an Agricultural Science students. I hope this help.

I give kudos to the bosses in the house, Barrister Taylor184, Dr. Brini, Pharm. Itpretzy, Boss Morgang et al.
