November 6, 2016 Press Release Rivers Rerun: Discovery of Fake Result Sheets and other Electoral Materials...Confirmation of APC Rigging Machine and Plans to Truncate our Democracy - PDP 1. The recent arrest of Mr. Atonyesia D. Peterside, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, by the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) and the discovery of his printing press where result sheets and other electoral materials were being printed is evidence of our assertions that the APC has deployed resources to subvert the democratic process and democracy in Nigeria. 2. The Police in a raid on Saturday November 5, 2016 in a printing press located at N0 12, Isiokpo Street, Port Harcourt, Rivers State discovered a large number of printed copies of result sheets for several local governments in Rivers State where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has slated elections for December 10, 2016. 3. During questioning, Mr. Peterside is recorded as saying that he was detailed to print the electoral materials by Hon. Emmanuel Chinda, former Commissioner for Agriculture during the tenure of Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi – who now serves as Minister of Transport in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. 4. This discovery shows the desperation within the ranks of the APC and the extents to which the party is willing to go to subvert the will of the Nigerian people. It also proves our assertions that the APC rigged the recent election in Edo State and is planning to rig the elections in Ondo and Rivers States. 5. The current situation is a complete reversal of the electoral gains achieved by the previous administration of PDP and a return to the dark days of yore. 6. The discovery also establishes the complicity of INEC as it is impossible for anyone to print result sheets with serial numbers that tally with the authentic result sheets without the involvement of INEC officials. 7. It is very saddening that President Muhammadu Buhari watches as members of his party and his administration destroy and denigrate our democratic and electoral gains especially when one considers that these democratic and electoral gains made it possible for him to win elections and be sworn into office in the first place. 8. We call on President Buhari to order an investigation into this matter and ensure that everyone involved in this dastardly plot to subvert the will of the Nigerian people is brought to book, no matter how highly placed. 9. We also call on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately relieve Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi of his post as Minister of Transport pending the conclusion of investigations since he has been named by some of the suspects on the fake result sheets matter and also because of his previous attempt to bribe Justices of the Supreme Court to subvert the course of justice in petitions regarding the conduct of the Abia, Akwa Ibom and Rivers gubernatorial elections. 10. Anything less will confirm long held fears in many quarters that President Muhammadu Buhari is himself complicit in these attempts to destroy democracy in Nigeria. 11. We must warn the APC, its leadership on their destructive tendencies and call on them to preserve our democracy having fought for so long to attain the present democratic governance in Nigeria. We should rather improve on the foundation of electoral processes established by the PDP administration instead of working to destroy it. Nigerians will not stand by and watch the APC destroy our democracy. 12. It is imperative to sound the warning that Nigerians will fight as hard as possible and as long as necessary to resist this evil that the APC is hellbent on establishing in our electoral system. 13. May God bless Nigeria. Signed: Prince Dayo Adeyeye National Publicity Secretary cc; Lalasticlala,mynd44 Source: http://www.trezzyhelm.com/2016/11/press-release-rivers-rerun-discovery-of.html

OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT PRESS RELEASE NIGERIA, WORLD BANK, SEVEN ENERGY SIGN DEAL TO ADD MORE THAN 500MW TO NATIONAL GRID Agreement opens up power sector for more investments, VP says In fulfillment of its commitment to increasing power supply in the country and further tapping into the ‘gas to power’ value chain, the Federal Government today signed a number of agreements that will add more than 500 MW electric power to the National Grid. Specifically a number of agreements were signed by the FG, World Bank, Niger Delta Power Holding Company, NDPHC, Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading, NBET, and the gas supplier, Seven Energy, an integrated gas company in Nigeria, which is investing about $500m in the construction of gas processing facility at the Uquo Field in Akwa Ibom State. For instance, an agreement for a Partial Risk Guarantee (PRG) between NDPHC and the World Bank was signed to secure the supply of about 130 million cubic feet per day of gas to NIPP Calabar Plant by Seven Energy. Also a Gas Supply Agreement was signed between NDPHC and Seven Energy with legal obligations on the gas supplier to deliver gas to the power plant in Calabar. The agreement is expected to come info force within 90 days. The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, at the signing ceremony described the agreements as significant, enabling the consistent additional generation of more than 500 MW of electricity to the national grid. He added that the development would open up new opportunities for investments in Nigeria’s gas and power sectors. Prof. Osinbajo noted that the arrangement was the first of its kind for gas supply in Nigeria and a demonstration of the Federal Government’s commitment to increasing power supply in the country. According to the Vice President, “it will encourage investment in the gas infrastructure and we are certainly looking forward to the multiplier effects that will come from this.’’ “This is a very significant event for us and as we all know this is the first PRG for gas that we are signing.” “Given the current power situation, we expect that this gas that will go into the Calabar plant will provide about 500MW of power which is very significant given our current situation. ”The gas pipeline itself is a feat of some sort, I am told that it traverses five rivers, so that by itself is worth celebrating. Even if all we get from social media this evening is an engineering feat, we will be quite pleased with that.’’ The Vice President then commended the World Bank and other partners for the confidence in the present administration especially in guaranteeing investment worth about 500 million dollars. Signing for the FG at the event held at the Presidential Villa was the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, while the World Bank was represented by its Country Director Rachid Benmessaoud. On his part, the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Mr Chiedu Ugbo said the development was significant in the development of Nigeria’s gas to power programme. Expressing optimism that the guarantee would go a long way in addressing liquidity challenges experienced by the gas supplier for the Calabar Power Plant, the NDPHC MD added that “we have had gas supply issues in the Calabar plant. But now the gas supplier is supplying the gas molecules there and they just concluded a pipeline from their field in Akwa Ibom State to the Calabar power plant.” Explaining the role of the World Bank, Ugbo said, the Bank would back NDPHC up to make the payment “in the event that we are unable to pay and as we have time, we pay back.” Also commenting, the CEO of Seven Energy, Mr Philip Iheanacho stated that the signing of the agreement was very significant because “it is the first gas to power guarantee that the World Bank has provided for, encouraging investment in the gas sector in Nigeria.’’ He disclosed that the development would unlock almost $700 million of investment into gas infrastructure in Nigeria.
