Father of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member who died in Kano camp last year, Ifedolapo Oladepo, Wale Oladepo, has dragged the Federal Government to court.

Oladepo, who is a retired civil servant in Osun State filed the suit before an Abuja Federal High Court.

Ifedolapo, died at the National Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp in Kano State last year.
The bereaved father is seeking N100m as damages for the death of her daughter.

The late corps member finished from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso with with a First Class in Transport Management.

Oladepo’s lawyer, Wale Afolabi, who is a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Osun State, prayed the court to order the defendants to pay N100m to the bereaved family as general damages for the emotional distress caused by Ifedolapo’s sudden death.

Apart from the Federal Government, other defendants in the suit are the Director-General, NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure; and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

The father stated in the statement of claim that his daughter died on November 29, 2016, as a result of negligence on the part of the NYSC because the agency failed to give his daughter prompt medical attention when she took ill three days after she reported to the camp.

Oladepo is demanding that, “A declaration that the officers of the first defendant (NYSC Director-General) breached their duty to the late Ifedolapo Racheal Oladepo, daughter of the plaintiff, by their failure to give proper medical attention and proper medication to the deceased, which culminated in her worsened state of health and eventual death on November 29, 2016.

“A declaration that officers of the 1st defendants breached in their duty to the late Ifedolapo Racheal Oladepo by their failure to refer the deceased to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital when the adequate facilities to cater for the deceased’s health condition were not available at the NYSC Kano Orientation Camp Clinic.”

So yesterday I decided to take a female friend on a date, after reading how Pablo Ayodeji took a girl out with 3800 Naira to an Undisclosed Mall In Ibadan, I decided to give it a try.

I had it in mind I was going to spend more been weekend and all so my budget for movie tickets had to increase from 600 Naira to 1200 I made my budget 6000 Naira

I don’t have a car yet so I set out and told her to meet me at the mall (PALMS MALL, IBADAN)

We got to the Mall around 1pm and headed straight to get tickets having in mind we were going to watch OKAFOR’S LAW. The movie was going to start by 2:10PM so we still had 70minutes to ourselves

I spent a total of 5800 Naira at VIVA CINEMA, PALMS MALL IBADAN

Movie Tickets:2400 (2 movie tickets) NB: other days tickets go as low as 600 Naira

Pop-corn:1200 Naira (two packs)

Hot Dog:1200 Naira (Two)

2 pet Bottle Drinks: 400 Naira

2 Bottle Water: 300 Naira

2 Cup Cakes: 300 Naira

So we waited, drank our bottle water and ate our cakes till it was time for our movie

If you haven’t watched Okafor’s Law By Omoni Oboli Please do I should write a review about it when I see the movie for the second time (ALONE).

When we finished our movie we were filled with hotdogs, cakes and popcorn. After the movie knowing there wouldn’t be appetite to eat anything

else we waited for what we ate to digest a little, took selfies, gossiped a little before heading home and I still had a little change with me.

A dog died saving dozens of people at a wedding party in Maiduguri after it attacked a suicide bomber, an official said.
The dog stopped the teenage suicide bomber from detonating her explosives in the crowd.
The dog, according to the police, belonged to a resident of the neighbourhood where the wedding took place.
The suicide bomber was about making her way into the gathering at the wedding ceremony before the dog pounced on her.
The girl, whose original mission appeared to have been thwarted, detonated her explosive while battling to wriggle herself from the canine grip of the dog.
The gallant dog paid the supreme sacrifice as it died alongside the suicide bomber.
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force in Borno State, Victor Isuku, said the incident happened at about 7.30 a.m. in Belbelo community of Jere Local Government Area in Borno State.
“Information just received indicate that today at about 0733hours (7.33am), a female suicide bomber with IED strapped to her body, attempted to infiltrate a wedding ceremony gathering in Belbelo community of Jere LGA”, he said.


“She was however prevented by a watch dog, so she had to detonate the IED to kill herself and the dog.
“The dog was owned by resident in the locality”, said Mr. Isuku, a deputy superintendent of police.
Although the police did not state if the dog was trained in bomb detection, it is not common in Nigeria for dogs owned by civilians to be so trained.
Mr. Isuku said normalcy has since been restored in the area and “no further casualty was recorded apart from the dog.”
The incident occurred few hours after three suicide bombers blew themselves up at two different locations not far away from the spot where the wedding took place.
About 100,000 people have been killed in Borno and neighbouring states since 2009 when the Boko Haram insurgency started.
