There are a number of general questions I think a lot of interested suppliers may want answered :-

[li]What is the nature of the quality check to be done and what happens if any of the supplied systems fail the quality check of the ultimate customer?. I think suppliers will be interested in knowing this beforehand so there are no possible unpleasant surprises. BTW I will expect all brand new systems supplied (at least 99.9%) which have been purchased direct from the manufacturer or an authorized reseller to pass all standard generally acceptable quality checks, save for the odd system or 2 that actually arrive with an obvious fault. [/li]
[li]How do you intend to finance the initial purchase of these systems since you are unable to draw on any initial mobilization from the contract based on the terms stated therein. Most suppliers will require a good down payment in order to process your order. [/li]
[li]Say a supplier and yourself are able to reach mutually acceptable/beneficial financial terms, what is your expected delivery lead time for a batch and what do you consider a reasonable size for a batch to supply?. When do you have to fulfill the entire order of 1000 units? [/li]
[li]what is the required ratio of 520/530s you require - or is any available combination acceptable?[/li]
[li]Lastly, I have observed that the current configs of newly manufactured 530s for instance is higher than your spec. So a supplier may have to order higher specs than you specified to fill your order if there is no current stock for your required config. This is more an observation than a question.[/li]

The seller appears to be serious about protecting his reputation so I have no fears about purchasing this item on your behalf. At the same time there is some risk that the product will not perform to your expectations. So you will need to consider all the facts you have to determine if it is worth the risk.

As well, it may arrive Nigeria at a significantly higher cost than the purchase price.

The item itself is on auction - it is not available at a "purchase now" price. The winning bids I saw for the same item were between $2.51 and $7. Shipping to the US is $27. and it takes 10-14 days to ship to the US.

Pity I didnt see your post earlier. One diet you can try that I personally find very effective for bringing your weight down appreciably over a short period of time is the low carb diet. There are books that explain how it works. You may want to try reading the following book :-

I tried it out a few years back and was able to drop 20Kgs in 2 months. I since have relaxed the diet restrictions imposed at the start of my diet exercise and have been able to maintain a weight loss of over 25Kgs up till now.

As well there are little things you can do in general to curtail your weight gain :-

1. Stop eating late into the night. (i.e. stay awake 4 hours after last major meal to allow time for food to digest)

2. Constantly drink lots of water to keep your metabolism going.

3. Prefer eating smaller regularly spaced meals to eating fewer larger meals. (This helps reduce blood sugar levels)

4. Prefer eating foods in their natural form to those based on artificial sources. (I.e. eat sugars from the right sources i.e fruits , etc)

etc. etc.

I did some quick and dirty research to identify video cards that are suited for video editing. What I have found is that as far as Nvidia cards go, the Quadro FX is likely specifically designed for CAD and 3d type applications while the GEForce Family is for Gaming. Read some details here :-

Generally, the GeForce GPUs are designed for gaming while the Quadro GPUs are designed for CAD and 3D type applications. If you do a lot of gaming, then the GeForce GPU will work better, if you do a lot of photo, video, CAD work then the Quadro is the one you want.

my laptop is a dell precision m90, it has a 256mb nvidia quadro fx 1500m card, a 2.0ghz core2duo processor, 2gb of ram(expandable to four) a 4mb L2 cache, 17 inch widescreen (1920 x 1200) . it cost me over 300,000. thats the sort of laptop you need to do that sort of work. google 'mobile workstation'. it is unlikely that such laptops are locally available. i'll recommend you get in touch with brume 2020 on the technology market page. furthermore, you can check out nvidia's website and search for 'quadro fx mobile' you will find links to mobile workstations by dell, lenovo , HP so you can visit the sites and configure the laptop to the specs you want and can afford. cheers.

I'm into Video Editing, currently using a Toshiba A100: 1Gb, 80Gb, 1.86Ghz Solo, etc etc Laptop, with some external devices (Harddisks).


I found out that the laptop can only render VCD jobs successfully but begins to cry and complain when I have a DVD job.


I understand that desktops are the best for this kind of work but I am a very mobile person and I need some kind of work done on the move.
