Hi NLders, I & my Besty has been close friends for years now. She has been single all the years busy working, always told her she needed a man in her life but she didn't border letting any guy in, she always said she has me she doesnt need another man. Told her i'm her best friend but she needs someone that will treat her like a lover.

Most times when I use I & my fiance pix as my dp she starts giving me attitude & all that...

Recently she finally started dating someone & kept it away from me, I even asked her when I noticed, she denied at first & later admitted she was dating someone, I was angry with her for keeping such good news away from me & even lied when I asked.

I scolded her for it but later told her how happy I am. Since then she stopped talking to me or replying my chats. what should I do?

I also have a friend (not bestie) who does this exact thing.
When I use my gf picture as my profile picture (which is often the case) she puts up some nasty attitude towards me.
Beautiful girl like this. Get a man, no she's not in that position to be committed, be happy for me, no she won't......always seeking for nonexistent cracks in my relationship.
I'm tired of it and I'd rather cut her off than let her be an issue in my life.

I watched in utter shock how this video shows the way Mr Patrick spent our collective resources.
I am really appalled and even if it seems like it's only the PDP bigwigs that are being pursued, at least there is a pursuing and if they were not guilty, they will not be pursued. After all, I recall Obasanjo's reply when he was asked why the EFCC is only chasing after his opponents he replied that when rain falls, it falls on on everyone, but those who are covered or who use umbrella (PDP?) will not get drenched.
Prosecuting these ones in a lawful manner is a step in the right direction. Hopefully, someday we will be able to fight corruption irrespective of party affiliations.

Let me make a few things clear.

1. This is NOT gnld or whatever you call it company.
2. I will assume those of you asking for the company name simply want to try and apply, that's fine, but i do not entertain rudeness so i wont mention the name.
3. We have enough resources for proper advertisement including via linkedin but it wasn't used in this case. Everyone interviewed was based on just referrals. It just an internship role so why spend so much on linkedin.
4. 80% of comments i see make me quite saddened as to the mentality of today's youths.

Hello, you shouldn't be saddened because of comments from Nairalanders, most of those who rush to comment and talk down/bully others here are actually jobless and intricately unemployable.
So, don't let this weigh you down, truth is there are millions of Nigerian youths round the world who are excelling from the formal to the informal sector.

Hi everyone, after what happened in my husband church on Sunday how he embarrassed me and his worker slapping me. I decided to consult his doctor friend to talk to him ,the only reason he gave the doctor is that the mistress saved his life when he wanted to kill him self because of a woman that died years ago in his church which left him confused then(I traveled with My last child when this incident happen) and the girl telling him not to kill him self is enough that the girl love him and that from that day he swear never to leave that girl nor let the girl feel bad in any situation.

He said that the girl is his life. so for me becoming pregnant is enough to make the girl feel bad so he now tries to defame me and make the girl happy.he suggested that the only solution that will bring peace to my family is me becoming friend with the said girl and serving her.and that I should beg the worker that I have forgiven him if I want him to accept me again.

Now the girl in question here is rude and proud. she insult me anyhow.she laughed at me now that am going through this with my hubby. today she saw me and started laughing that she must make me leave my home with my 5kids.

Now all am asking my self is how can I step so low to the extend of begging my husband mistress just for my husband to love me again. how can I befriend this witch of a girl. How can I worship this girl in my own house all to please my husband. A girl that saved my husband name with Baby m. Will that make me a peace seeker or a fool the more.will a reasonable woman do that?

8 hours before putting it in the rice? That might be the problem. You should have put it in immediately. Why not check it for a while and if its still not coming on then you might have to take it to a repairer

I seriously doubt it can be repaired, however, if it is repaired the person can take a look at mine also.

Yes my iPad is presently damaged tried doing the rice trick....like I did for the Nokia I used few years back, didn't work. I took this iPad to a reputable Apple shop and I was told to put in my device for recycling, that I will still be doing good to the environment by disposing properly. Well, I carried my iPad and put it in my cupboard, make e dey there like museum for now.
Most painful part was I didn't use it up to 6 months sef. Lol

I think the rice thing works well for devices you can open up. Like dismember the battery, sim, memory card and all. the whole idea behind it is that the rice acts like an absorber of moisture. In apple devices and phones you cannot easily open, it's harder for this process to take place as the rice doesn't get to the insides

please help, my iphone 6 fell into water yesterday and it hasn't power on since, i had to do something important so i left it unattended to for 9 hours (i just tried to blow out the water), after i put it inside rice as i read online but it hasn't power on yet, still inside rice, any remedy?

Sadly, I think there's no remedy to water damage for iPhones.

I have requested for a video from my said relation.
the reason they gave for demolishing it is that they are not permitted to build anything looking like church or fellowship. That the land they gave nccf is for lodge and nothing else.
Now, I'm from the Southern part of Nigeria and in my village particularly, there are three mosques.
I still recall growing up and when the first was about being converted from a prayer ground to a real building my family helped them build it up, irrespective of the fact that they said they just wanted a space to pray when they initially asked for it.
More so, in the school I graduated from, until recently, only mosques had buildings in the residences and everyone accepted them. I feel the level of intolerance the host community have in this case is not commendable.
Now there is palpable tension and naturally fear.
