My experience is one I can never forget. While still serving, I saved up to get a Blackberry Q5. I had helped one other person buy and I insisted to the person NEVER to go to computer village but instead to go to a shop. I ensured the person spent extra money in getting the Q5 from a major dealer than from a shop in computer village. Time to buy my own, I rehearsed every possible outcome. I have never been scammed in all my life and that day wasn't gonna be the first......or so I thought. I entered major dealers shops with the intention of knowing the exact price of the phone. What made me enter this shop I will never know. Saw a red Q5 on the table and asked how much it was, they told me and I found out it was about three thousand naira cheaper..........(Brunel three thousand naira cheaper, smh) than the official brand new price in the popular major dealers. I tested EVERYTHING!!!! every key, every setting, I set up the phone in the shop, charged it up, transferred data with bluetooth, made and received calls, sms......every single thing (I'm sure of this because I had a check list). After every check, I walked gallantly holding tight to my new investment, the proof to show my alawi savings. My brothers and sisters, the next day I wan type, I press letter 'v' na 'g' I see. I noticed that the same issue happened with letters 'x,c,b and alt' .......because I had the receipt of the phone as proof of payment and an audio recording I went back to the shop and my ordeal began. I was turned left, right and centre, the man I met even accused me of dropping the phone in water and that I damaged it, I had to show him my old phone that had a broken screen but I still used it. Long and short story, currently I have the That place is full of fraudsters, it's sad. *wiping my tears......console me not!!* |

"Nigeria's government" and the verb "to do"
|
ireneony:Lol. Online personality ![]() |
when you criticize constructively, they call you a wailer meanwhile they suffer same thing. if we made mistakes in the past, should we continue making mistakes today? PDP that could have organized and mobilised other opposition groups and the masses to demand responsibility from the government cannot because they are also disorganized, corrupt and inept. tick tock tick tock......a revolution draws nearer |
fulanigirl:Communicate DAILY. Open and honest communication |
I have said it before, one day we will wake up to realise that Dangote IS our government. He provides the most jobs, builds our homes, feeds us and very soon he'd fuel our engines. |
Ayindesegun10:okay, I know the guy in that pic |
In summary, from Promise of Change to Change of Promise. slap1: |
please expose ALL not SOME. thank you. It's hatred and callous for one to steal from one's one country you pledge allegiance to. The amount of damaging and ripple effects of the pen robber is a million and one times greater than the gun robber!!! |
why is there SO much hate in some parts of Nigeria? |
Ayindesegun10:holyparcel? |
lol > In the same way Buhari is on tour to understand the causes of our faulty image, low economy and underdevelopment > It is commendable to first understand one's problem before trying to apply solutions. > However, if a seasoned engineer knowledgeable in the technical run-ins of a Grid electrical network and distribution system were to be the minister of Power, the time, energy and resources wasted in junketing will be saved. > There is always light at the end of the tunnel boss. In hell, there is bright fire at the end of the tunnel. In heaven, there is also bright light. In Nigeria our tunnel seem to have no end. > You once said any serious government will fix the power in six months. Either this is a self indictment in this government or you told us a Lai http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/power-supply-all-homes-in-lagos-will-be-lit-in-six-months-if-fashola/> I still believe unwavering in the Nigerian dream, no matter how strained things are getting |
politics world over is the same. after all is said and done this cannot not be a compensation prize with the ultimate aim of recovering 'investments' made during the last concluded general elections.......talking about financing of that elections I wonder why there's no searchlight on how the APC got funding for its activities, maybe some day we all will find out. for now, recoup of spent monies in NIMASA is the result of 'change'. for those of you (deliberately exclude myself) who exchange mean, hurtful words at each other, enter heated debates some leading to physical duels and a few to kicking the bucket hope you can see the big picture? while you get banned or not (depending on NL Mod hehe) 1. Wike is the governor of Rivers. 2. Ameachi is the transport minister 3. Dakuku is kuku the DG NIMASA what are you doing to lead a better life? |
shouldn't this same treatment be given across board and not to some select privileged individuals? I know someone who has been kept in custody for more than a year awaiting trial. |
Seun:His prayer, has gone viral. 1. Greater audience that can potentially help the homeless man. 2. Put a smile on the face of the homeless man........ giving him hope potentially. 3. Gave hope to the Baltimore police officer that not all hope is lost. .......especially seeing the treatment of black young men in Baltimore, this can change the perception of blacks there. 4. Humanity. Just a few points I think his prayer has done. Cheers. |
Abumadea:my brother the thing is actually rampant, your story reminds me of one day when one of the beautiful girls just came up to me and told me Corper Brunel, do you know how to eat rice (their local food) I said no, she says she can come and cook it for me, I said you don't know my house and her reply was shocking that everyone knows where I stay and I don't receive visitors (students she meant) like my other corp members........ so many interesting experiences, I told one of the corp members not to do anything with the students for his own respect and his reply was that 'na person wey get respect dey fear to lose am' roflmao. needless to say he ended the service year without a PPA, lol |
ewuoso2002:If you start living right, you soon will be thankful to yourself. You can tilt the balance by starting now, as you have more years ahead than behind. |
Achorise:thank you sir. it is all worth it in the end. live a life you can be proud of in future. |
RalphTheToner:lol, I spend more than twice this in a month |
Before going to service I had already determined not to taint my reputation and not to do any of those things. Fast forward to when I got to my PPA - a mixed secondary school. Tales had it that corp members before me came and messed themselves up....one of the cases led to a fight between some students over a male corp member, well I immediately set up a riot act which I read to them before every class session 'Good morning class, today we are studying Maths, if you do not have a pen, borrow one, if you forgot your book, tear out a sheet of paper, if you missed the last class leave a space, if you don't have a book write on your palms, if you do not want to write leave the class, when I write, you must write do we have an agreement?' *their voice ringing in my head yes uncle!!* this became a routine and the students sang to it with glee every morning. the stubborn ones, I'd flog (in the presence of the class to serve as deterrent) after two warnings and tell to leave the class, one day a girl chose to be VERY stubborn, refused to write, refused to leave the class, refused to be flogged on her palms.....lol! I flogged her anyway, she then feigned some kind of sickness, thank God I was finally vindicated. I already knew from the teachers that they had slept with some, if not most students and they 'encouraged' me to have a 'wife' amongst on of the students, thing is once you mess up with ONE, the whole school hears about it the very next day!!!! as corpers no kuku sabi their language! I recall that I had at numerous times told some of the students SSS and JSS girls to button up as some whether mistakenly or otherwise leave their top buttons open, one particular girl was even bold enough to wink at me, that was the day I took action and flogged her in front of the class and unlike me, I didn't explain to the class what she did, lol. she hated me after that, understandably. At the end of the service year a non-academic staff of the school came to tell me that she heard whispers going round that corper Brunel didn't try for them that he couldn't even pick one out of the whole school. that day laugh wan kill everyone for staff room! I gave presents to my best students and it was a mutually emotional departure service they gave me, the first of it's kind ever in the school. My advice is guys shouldn't take advantage of these gullible girls - treat them like younger sisters, some no dey baff well, some carry infections, plus a few minutes of pleasure should not be exchanged for your reputation and respect, what goes around comes around. A post is enough for the wise. lol |
hehe. This is ironical. Inasmuch as I know taxation is the backbone of every progressive society, isn't it comical that when Nigerians (low income earners) pay tax they still pay for their own healthcare, security, water, light, road and every other amenity? I mean even the police sef go take their share, and at the end of the day everyone is their own government. |
somebody once commented that one day one day they will snap and upload Jumoke taking a shiit in the toilet ![]() |
shocked the wonders of the brain! truth is anyone can attain this height with skilful dedication |
can't bring myself to block my parents on any social network, once they tried to snoop around I politely told them that whatever they see me do online is the real me and I have no apologies to it, guess they understood as that 'who-is-this' type of questions hasn't come up again. |
now I understand how a case like ours can drag for 24 years! ![]() |
The boy is heading towards obesity...... One way ahead ahead no LASTMA Hehe |
See her determined face, something tells me she'd return back to Kano in a few years time. Her issue is quite murky. I don't trust any side..... I suspect she doesn't wanna go back to Bayelsa |
Lol Somebody says my outfit is cheap. I know my outfit isn't cheap. I have no response to that kind trouble. If you say I no get brain or something like that ehen I can then use superior argument to enlighten the person. |
I actually attempted with my hands when I watched this |
