The Presidency on Monday summoned the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, over the protest by police officers in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

The police officers were said to have protested over non-payment of their monthly salaries and allowances.

NAN reports that Idris was seen heading towards the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, inside the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

It is believed the police chief was in the Villa, to brief the presidency on the protest.

The Police in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, had dismissed the media report, claiming that the policemen only made inquiries on their allowances and salaries before returning to their duty posts.

Reginae and Lucci have been thick as thieves, but they’ve run into some trouble over recent months. Most recently, “27 year old gangster rapper YFN Lucci and his girlfriend Reginae Carter (19) were taken into police custody – after a shootout at an after hours party in Knoxville, Tennessee. Eventually both were released from custody – without being charged. But Reginae is asking for trouble. MTO News spoke with one of Reginae’s girlfriends and she claims that Nae Nae has allegedly smuggled her boyfriend’s gun into an Atlanta club.”

The insider told MTO News, “Lucci always gets checked and so do his boys.” Nae’s friend continued, “But Reginae doesn’t get checked and so she brought Lucci’s gun.”

Wow . . . . we hope that Reginae is not getting involved in any kids of illegal activity.

After videos of the alleged arrest started going viral, Reginae decided to address the breaking news. The 19-year-old said she was OK and that she was not arrested.

She did not answer questions on whether Lucci was eventually arrested.

Commenters seemed disappointed with Reginae, who is a straight A student at Atlanta’s Spelman College.

Actress Ruth Kadiri is of the opinion that the recent tragedies taking place in Nigeria are spiritual and she has placed curses on politicians, ritualists, and yahoo boys who use human sacrifice to achieve success.
Earlier, she shared a photo of the havoc wreaked by the fuel tanker explosion on Otedola Bridge along Lagos-Ibadan expressway and captioned it:

"The spiritual controls the physical... what they have done with our Dear country we do not know... Rip to dead. God help us all. Fellas watch and pray."

In a follow-up post, she addressed politicians, native doctors, ritualists, and Yahoo boys who use human sacrifice for the purpose of winning elections and gaining wealth and power. She said as they have brought death on others, death will not depart from their households.

Joseph "Joe" Jackson, the patriarch who launched the musical Jackson family dynasty has died at the age of 89 in a Las Vegas hospital.

Jackson was the father and at times manager to pop stars Michael and Janet Jackson, along with the sibling-singing group, The Jackson 5.

The elder Jackson's death came two days after the ninth anniversary of the death of his son, Michael.

He and Katherine Jackson got married in 1949. They moved into into a home on Jackson Street in Gary, Indiana, the following year, where they welcomed their first of 10 children, Maureen "Rebbie" Jackson.

Comedian Alibaba, has questioned the government's sincerity to put an end to the wanton killings recorded in most parts of the country.

Reacting to the attack in 11 communities in Plateau state in which over 100 persons were killed by suspected herdsmen over the weekend, Alibaba in a post he shared on his IG page, said that SARS officers can find anyone they want to but cannot find and arrest those behind the killings. If these crop of politicians, believe it's more important to budget for their constituents and issues that directly reflect on the voter influence, instead of putting a final stop to these senseless killings, then voting them out should be our response. That means, no matter what it takes, get your PVC and do the needful. Because, in 2014, there were senseless killings. And since that time till now there has been even more senseless killings. Yet no effective punishment or combined action to let who ever these killersvare to know that we will not take one more loss of life. The way I see it, if someone keeps stealing from you and you do nothing to let the person know that you do not like it, they will continue stealing. Same goes for these kind of killings.

A group of people killing 100s of people can not be a flash mob activity. How long does it take to get a helicopter in the air? Especially when you know the hotspots. Just as I say, if the people who walk into any legistlative chambers, in States, anywhere in Nigeria, don't get punished, very soon, they will enter the Senate or House of Reps. And they did. Yes they did. Same thing with these killings. The way it is going, we are losing and they are winning... and while we are whinning about strategies and condolences, they are planning the next attack.

The bank robbers too know that, they can strike, get in an escape vehicle and disappear. Where are our air support security agencies?... when those who stole the monies were queried we called it witch hunt. In this day and age of modern technology that can find oil 2000 feet underground, we can not find murderers killing 100s of people. Habaaaaa. But SARS can find anyone they want. Can they help us find these killers? Or it's not in their job description?

Heartbreaking tale of an 8-year-old girl who called a philanthropist crying to report she

A Nigerian philanthropist has shared a heartbreaking story of an 8-year-old girl who called her crying to report that she had been raped by her lesson teacher who is also a pastor in their church.

Dr. Yolanda George-David said the child refused to speak with anyone else but her and when she got on the phone the sobbing child narrated her ordeal but begged her not to tell her mother because "she won't believe me".

When the parents of the victim were eventually informed, they accused their child of being possessed and refused to believe her account, even though they could see the blood on her genitals.

Dr Yolanda, aka Aunt Landa, wrote:

An 8years old Girl,called the foundation's rescue line....She refused to talk to anyone...all she wanted was to talk to Aunt Landa... ...She was crying but she knew what she wanted... "Aunt Landa"..
Agatha forwarded her number to me.. and I called.. ...As soon as I said "HELLO", she went... "Aunt Landa please can you come and get me, my lesson teacher just pushed his thing into me and there is blood everywhere ..." ...she continued..
"Aunty please don't tell my mummy, she won't believe me because Uncle (lesson teacher) is our pastor in church..." Oh mhen!!! I hate Sitting in the Car.. stuck in traffic on the way to any rescue... ...my head was going through a lot of things until I got stuck on ...'AM I DOING ENOUGH?

So I tried to put some of the relief mechanisms projects onto one page, that's the picture up there...to see if there's something else I should be doing... Gratefully...we arrived.. From rescuing that little girl..explaining to her what a rape kit was... to washing the blood off her after she had been processed... to fighting with her parents who said she was possessed blaming her for making them miss bible study ... and to watching them act like they couldn't see that their pastor had raped their daughter .. ...the question still kept hounding me..
