Nope , not true. Let's leave it at that so we don't drag this issue in the mud. I am Igbo and not ONE of the family members, relatives and friends have EVER done drugs.

The worship of money is a black man thing unfortunately - I am not sure if it is due a poverty mentality.
Great family you have there, obviously there are always exceptions......but there's a reason why even asian authorities at Jakarta and malaysian airports recognize that it's Igbo Nigerians dominating the drug trade.... worship of money exists in black society but it's more pronounced in Igbo society. It's not about tribalism but even check the crime stats within Nigeria, you'd hardly find a yoruba man doing crime in the east but come down west and even north we'd find that at least out of 10 criminals in ibadan you'd find 1 Igbo man. You guys literally celebrate these criminals in your villages.

A shamesless criminal is a shameless criminal irrespective of ethnicity. They both cause suffering by their actions.

Arise out of your bigotry and you may become part of the solution.

I can post articles and videos of Yoruba people here in the UK who are into drugs, credit card fraud, post office fraud but I have never posted them because crime is not affiliated with ethnicity.

Yes even white people do drugs like meth.....but it's the occurrences and stats that matter, from asian jails to the heads of drug rings.... it's you Igbos that are leading the way in crime, you guys celebrate criminality and worship money.... it's a fact, and am not even being tribalistic.

Otherwise we decimated your useless army in battle, though you had all the support of the major world empires.

Thousands of Nigerian soldiers were deleted; imagine what would have happened if the British, Russians, Egyptians and other Arab countries did not step in to support you.

Just note that this is 2021 not 1967, get that through you thick ugly skull cheesy
Truthfully 2021 isn't 1967 as long as you don't bring your biafra issues to the south west, keep it within the SE and face your fulani oppressors then history won't repeat itself.

I will not respond to you again as it appears you're incapable of understanding these things.
If you go online insulting, it just says much about your upbringing. The truth is that your real character is on display when you are on a faceless forum when no one is watching you and you are left with your conscience.
Lol....look who is talking, you replied a 5 words sentence with 12 lines of shit and piss making retardded generalizations and talking about how you had a shitty education, now you've failed to bring facts proving your assertion but have resorted to school me on morals which you clearly lack. SMH. I can guess your age from your remark. Just stop making a huge joke of the education some people toiled so much to give to you. Your generation are so uncouth and highly opinionated even on things you have not patiently waited to learn much about. That's not how to grow in life sir.
Please read up about Dr. Kayode Fayemi since you like him. He is a University of Lagos product where he studied History. You could have just asked politely or be humble enough to look it up his profile in the public domain.
You simply didn't need to reply in that manner, you only showed that you're an old fool, a proverbial fool at 40, your generation(the indomie hoarding generation of thieves and looters) have basically added zero value but sit on your high chair of stupidity, outdated knowledge and ignorance claiming wise....a normal human being would simply reply with facts and not go on a stupid rage trying to show how well he can articulate his stupidity...... you've probably stopped growing in life thus you spend your old age talking shit on nairaland.

And.... fayemi schooled at unilag before he transferred to OAU the institution which awarded him his degree and where he met his wife....if you weren't soo stupid you'd have checked that up.

Divide Nigeria and allow them go back to their homeland and then you can lay claim of Lagos.

You cannot explore crude oil from Uguta lake, Anambra, Abia and Imo and share it to 36 states of Nigeria in the name of federal allocation and still have the useless guts to tell any tribe to go back to their state of origin when you are using resources from their states to develop Lagos and make it answer most populated Nigerian state.

If you Yoruba urchins and parasites have the guts, be bold and demand for Odudua nation, after you get your Odudua nation, issue ultimatum to all None-Yorubas living in your new country to vacate within 24hrs, and if they fail to, you use your new country's Immigration policy to deport them back to their countries. But so long as you want one Nigeria to enable you to be getting free federal allocation gotten from resources from other tribes and using them to shine through political backstabbing to ensure federal projects and institutions are kept in Lagos, then you cannot make noise because if you try it, you will see anyhow.

Demand for your own country where you will use Yoruba resources and manpower to build your country and have the total control of who to keep and who to deport, okayhuh Educated illiterates forming woke shocked shocked cheesy cheesy
Lol see the long story of shit and piss you're writing....crude oil my ass

This. I agree wholeheartedly with this. Educated morons is what I call them. The same educated people that essentially want an intellectual hand job to stroke their own egos. Nations aren't created simply by intellectual discussions. No country worth a damn was created without strife and conflict. Yorubas that want to avoid that need to come to this realization NOW. It is beyond naive, and it's usually the intellectuals that are dumb enough to believe this nonsense. I am an intellectual myself as well, but unlike others I realize the importance of soldiers that are aggressively patriotic to engage the every day Yoruba man and woman. People who only want a Banji Akintoye fail to realize he's been UNSUCCESSFUL for YEARS without Igboho. Yet Igboho comes on the scene and so many more people now talks about Akintoye. There's a reason for that. People like Igboho awaken the masses, Akintoye as an intellectual cannot. Period.
You hit the nail on the head.....when Prof Akintoye who is an intellectual was there nobody heard him out, some even said he's a PDP apologist...now Sunday Igboho is here and some people are saying he's not an intellectual same people who voted in buhari..... certified mugus

So are suggesting that touts and rabble-rousers should be the drivers of the agitation for an independent Yoruba nation? Why can't every section of yoruba society be equal stakeholders in this? Una never ready. I am tired of talking abeg. Maybe you guys should go and clone Nnamdi Kanu and then copy and paste his template. I'm done here.
Chill guy.... I'd never support an Nnamdi kanu clone or the likes leading anything that has to do with yoruba....but, it's the failure of intellectuals to act in times of crisis that gives rise to the likes of Igboho and other....... it's like someone not providing solution or taking action but condemning those who act.

Waa gbayi. Me sef I want Oduduwa Republic. But it must be by consensus and buy-in of the overwhelming majority. Those that don't yet agree with it should not be called names like 'slaves' or other epithets, but rather reasoned with, because if dem plenty enough, they can end up becoming spoilers and scatter the whole objective. Believe it or not. I can't claim to be more yoruba than them just because they don't yet see things from my vantage point. I also think the agitation needs more intellectuals that can sell and make it more attractive to more Yorubas.

Yorubas are very educated, intelligent, and dynamic people. You can't just expect to appeal to them via emotions alone. Some may fall for that, but many, if not most, are very rational, and would therefore ask thought-provoking and valid questions, because the project is meant to be about our collective future and therefore can't and should not be left in the hands of an incompetent lot.

It should not just be about being free from Fulani herdsmen and their atrocities. We need to start hearing more about how the new country would be structured, have debates about economic models, etc. We can't just say we will leave all that planning till when we get independence. The planning has to start NOW because those that fail to plan, plan to fail. South Sudan is a typical example. They spent so much time fighting for independence, only to turn against themselves after getting it because they just weren't prepared for the task and challenges of nation building. The best and brightest of the Yoruba race need to be costed and coopted into the project/agitation, so that we don't export Nigeria's problems into the new country.
You made valid points but why must we depend on an intellectual who would probably intellectually sell us out......we Yoruba's are too book oriented, will an intellectual save you when herdsmen or bandits come and attack your villages, one of our intellectual who is a professor of law and a SAN is currently serving as vice/assistant to a school cert holder, what has this intellectualism gotten us as yoruba's when majority of our graduates are unemployed and without jobs yet bandits, militants and terrorists are being given armnesty and special treatment....I hope this intellectualism won't kill some of us.

And by the wah, he is only speaking for himself not for the whole people.

Alake supporting One Nigeria isn't a sin because he has the right to support whatever he wants.
And don't also think the Governors are also in support of it.

By now, currently the agitation for a Yoruba nation is still at its 10%
Obas who can't stop the nigerian army from using koboko to flog their baale, or stop herdsmen from chasing their subjects to Benin republic...
