Sports / Re: Yakubu Aiyegbeni Vs Sani Kaita: Who Caused Us More Pains? by btlasisi(m): 9:14am On Jun 23, 2010
All super chiken Strikers have caused us more pain than Kaita.

Obasi with Yakubu goofed in Nigeria vs Greece match, Yakubu and martins goofed and Obasi was selfish and wasteful in Nigeria Vs Korea.

Osaze was also not clicking at all
Sports / Re: Yakubu: A New Word Added To Oxford English Dictionary by btlasisi(m): 8:21am On Jun 23, 2010
I hope the people threatening Kaita can now add Yaku'booo to their list.

I said in my earlier comment the we have not produced best teams for this world cup, some were busy causing the day Kaita was born.

We would no be yakubised again by this Super chiken super disgrace.

It is only in this part of the world you will always expect miracle to happen even when u do not work hard believing God is partial.

Why heaping all the blames on this young guy, most of  people condemning this guy would have even done worse if confronted with situation he was.
I am not absolving from the problem, he has a major share but threatening him in the name of football is absolutely absurd.

Howcome we forgave forgot the duo of Yakubu Ayegbeni and Ogbuke for their millennium miss, is it also the reminiscence of Kaita red card that has blinded them.

Should we be reminded that we have not presented best of our footballers for this World cup and as such we have to suffer the fatal loss!!! period.
There are other teams that have won their matches with one man down in this world cup.

Crime / Re: Nigerian Jailed Over Stolen World Cup Tickets by btlasisi(m): 3:30pm On Jun 19, 2010
I was in Greece about a year ago, some of my Yoruba brothers were into real time travelling scams while drug businesses were dominated by my Igbo brothers. This is not a tribal issue corruption has pervaded every facet of our life.
Crime / Re: Nigerian Jailed Over Stolen World Cup Tickets by btlasisi(m): 3:22pm On Jun 19, 2010
I am not surprised at all. This our attitude of insatiable quest for money at all cost will always cost us hatred anywhere.
Go to any part of Europe you will be ashamed of being Nigerian because of attitude of some Nigerians living in such country.
Religion / Re: Why Do Yoruba Movies Promote Babalawos? by btlasisi(m): 3:51pm On May 29, 2010
Honestly, i share partly from sentiment of the poster on some of our Youruba films.

I must admit that there are quite lot of them with very good story lines, but i hate this idea of "every problems must lead and be solved by Babalawo syndrome".

We need to understand that almost all Nollywood movies (Yoruba, Igbo, english and others) promote spiritual angle to almost every problem.

The profiteers are the spiritualists who have over the time made financial gains from vulnerable Nigerians where ordinary and unconscious  people were made to believe that they are spiritually weak. Hence, they must consult spiritual masters before their problems are solved even when it is obvious that their problems are purely medical problems.

This ugly trend is not limited to Yorubas alone, it envelopes the whole tribes and religious in Nigeria. Traditional believers have been brainwashed that if they have not consulted Babalawos or Occult priests their problems will not be solved likewise some Muslims who also nurture the belief that they have to consult one Alfa or malam before their problems are solved. Christians are not spared as well, as many believe their Pastors are mini god, as such, needs to be consulted before their problems can be solved.

Yoruba films producers can always showcase the rich culture of Yoruba in their works without necessarily promoting the Babalawo prowess.
Romance / Re: You Have Heard Of The French Kiss But Now We Introduce The African Kiss: by btlasisi(m): 12:42pm On May 29, 2010
@seanmykel ,

It won't be a bad idea if you start one "kissing-school" on this thread so that we home bound NL can learn from a trained kiss-master.

Family / Re: Should Micheal Essien (of Chelsea FC) Support His Father More? by btlasisi(m): 12:19pm On May 29, 2010
I have been following this thread from the beginning and could not hold my mute anylonger on this matter.

I feel ashamed of being ME fan ( i will always support Chelsea anyway).

How can he leave his father to die in abject poverty?

His he wiser than God that has blessed him with this wealth?

What has he done with his wealth that will make his people to be proud of him?

I think the main problem is ME's mother. She saw that the man was married with many wives before she agreed to marry the poor man and had children for him. She requested for divorce and was not kicked out of the house by Papa JK. The man still within his capacity supported ME morally till he started his career.

Has he taken a good look at his footballing career lately and meditate over his present ordeal?

Has he another father?

Would he celebrate the demise of his sworn enemy if his father dies today or would he complain of loosing someone he never cared for?

Let ME leave God to be the judge and play his own role as a good son.

People should stop using their generational age to judge past events. Polygamy was African thing in the past. We can not change our past but we can shape our future.

I rest my case

Business / Re: Unexpected money in my account - What do I do? I have bills to pay! by btlasisi(m): 12:48pm On May 25, 2010
My dear friend,

I will advise you to jettison the idea of helping yourself with somebody else money and think you can evade being caught.

This exercise might be turning point of your life. Return the money to the Bank and move on with your life or  convert it to your private use and have yourself to blame in future.

Let take critical analysis of this:- What do you stand to gain by not returning this money? and What do you stand to Loose if you do not return the money.

I do not want to write too much, but be reminded that this little matter can lead you to jail and set you back for the rest of your life.

Wait for God's Time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Autos / Re: PT Consult alleged to be Fraudulent by btlasisi(m): 10:35am On May 20, 2010
My heartfelt sympathy to Nairalanders who are victims of PTConsult scams.

Do we really have a clear case of fraud against this young man?
YES

Who are the victims?
Letustalk was swindled 50,000 naira paid to OMINIRA OMOYELE GTB account
rawe45 was swindled 1.58 Million naira paid to AWOKOYA BUKOLA C Intercontinental account
BAFAMS was swindled 500,000 naira paid to OGWUCHE FIDELIS GTB account

How can we apprehend this fraudster and his cohort  collaborators before they  unleash terror on another Nairalanders or Nigerians?

Let the victims use their real names to write petition to EFCC with the details of their transaction using the link below
http://www.efccnigeria.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=32

My advise to others:-
Beware of likes of PTconsult in the house and raise alarm if you suspect any while you allow the fellow to deffend himself with enough proof beyond reasonable doubt.
Let all the immature breast sucking teenagers in the house keep their mouth shut next time serious matters like this is raised or contribute positively instead of derailing the thread with their foul mouth.

Thanks all
