You can check out the self-employed person program, however NOTE that the processing time is 24months (it could be less or more)

Good day,
I plan to also apply for Express entry but I plan to use self employed as a baker, I currently have a job as a customer service representative but that NOC is not acceptable.
Is it possible for me to claim self employed under the FSW program?
I don't have CEC documents but I can get reference letters from my customers and even cooperate bodies. can this fly?

boco2126:
On this IELTS issue...my two cents.

1. Stick to a FEW practice materials! The number of materials for IELTS that we see on a daily on this thread can be overwhelming. Try out only a few and stick to the one that resonates with you. Don't use ieltsliz, Jay, Cambridge, ieltsadvantage, road2ielts etc at the same time (some of these peope don't agree on the same approach and reading all can get really confusing). If you try one and it sits well with you, ditch others. Focus on that one and be a master of it. I almost got overwhelmed at some point, because l wanted to open every link or try every material l saw here. But l had to give myself brain oh.

2. Practise everyday. No excuses. Create the time. Even at work, you can use your lunch break to practise. Instead of listening to music or radio on your way to work, listen to your downloaded tips on writing, speaking, reading, listening. When walking down the streets, have an earpiece on (l hate this, but we can make sacrifices for one month abi?) and keep LISTENING. At weekends, practice speaking with your wife/husband, friend, son/daughter etc. Write out questions and tell them to ask you (under exam conditions). I finished a WHOLE 30 leaves notebook for listening practice (yeah l work an 8 to 5 and live on the mainland with my office on the island -remember, no excuses!). Always check your wrong answers and replay those portions and find out what you didn't hear properly. I used youtube for listening/speaking/reading.

3. There's this ielts expert too, one Ryan (cannot remember his surname) that l think is underrated. I used his tips for writing. He talks about 15 sentences max for writing. 3 paragraphs with 4 sentences and the closing paragraph should have 3 sentences. This keeps you in check and you already know what to write before the exam, all you will be waiting for on the ielts day is the topic given! I can share his materials if you drop your email address.
For writing, write letter and essays! Don't read what someone else wrote. Write yours too. Some people practise writing by reading another's work -WRONG! write yours too and compare. Minimum letters to write on different topics - 10. Minimum essays - 20. Revise your work and look for better ways to reconstruct your sentences. I suggest you write with pencil on your exam day so you can erase if need be.

4. For reading - use youtube. It also has a timer, so practice using the time and don't stop the timer or pause the video. The easiest comprehension in reading are the first two. Spend less time there. Say 5 mins tops for each. You do not need to UNDERSTAND nada. Just look at the instructions (very important), then the questions, then scroll through the passages for the answers. You need all your time for the last two passages. They are more technical.

5. For speaking - Be confident, relaxed and know your basic english and introduction (see ieltsliz). See this as an interview. We all attend interviews don't we? I got a list of 42 likely cue cards from ieltsliz blog (l think she said they change it every 3 months but she always update the cue card questions) and l practiced the 42 different topics and l always set my two minutes timer with my phone. You can be in the BRT or your car and practice this one, or when walking down the street or whilst doing chores at home, or lying down in your bed doing nothing (l did this. Some days, people will think you are going crazy because you are talking to yourself, but...who no go no know). One of the 42 questions l practiced was my cue card during my speaking test -something on my pet animal (l was wondering "madam why me? Animal kwa?" but because l had practised earlier, the examiner had to cut me off when it was two minutes. I just went on and on.

4. Lastly and certainly not the least...the place of PRAYER. I'm catholic, so when l saw the prayer to St. Joseph of Cupertino here, l made a mental note to say it. I started saying it every day from September till i wrote my exam on the 1st of November. I even added a 9 days St. Joseph of Cupertino novena with prayer and fasting which ended on the 31st of October (l'm that extra oh. I left no chances). I asked my family to add me in their prayers too. So, pray, pray and pray. Whatever works for you. Someone dropped one St. prayer here on financial assistance for POF, best believe l'll look for that prayer and do it too!

5. People have done it, you too can. Don't be discouraged if you have tried more than once. We don't give up on this thread oh. Being here has taught me a different level of selflessness and never say never spirit. People you don't even know are quick to help and empathise and l am still in awe of you guys.

6. Please drop your email address so l can send the Ryan materials to you.

This too shall pass!

All the best everyone and my apologies for the long post.

I hope I am not too late, kindly extend this hand of kindness to me

You’re welcome. What did you do during your Nysc? Let’s see if we can find an appropriate NOC code for it while we await responses form experienced people who can help you with what to do with your experience as a baker.

Thanks dear,
I will just have to research more on how to use my experience as a baker even if I don't have my company registered.

My sister if in you Customer service you have been in a supervisory role, it automatically changes the skill level C to B. and hopefully you have had at least 1yr of supervisory experience in Customer service. I can confidently tell you this because my friend used same. May this Canada journey favor you. Cheers

Amen, thanks alot.
I'm not in a supervisor role just customer service.

We are in the same shoes, depending on what you did during your NYSC, you can use them experience. That’s what I am using anyway.

Thanks for replying, NYSC not usable also, this NOC is the only place giving me concern.

Sincere appreciation to everyone contributing immensely on this topic, you guys are really wonderful.

I have been on the fence for a while if I should go for the Express entry or not, but seeing all the success stories, tenacity and willingness to help of people on the thread from part 1-6, I have decided to go for it head-on.

My only weakness is that I have a NOC skill level C (customer service) for the job I do full-time, which is not eligible for Express entry......... Now, I have a catering business on the side which I am into as a baker NOC skill level B eligible for EE.
My question is this; how can I use the eligible occupation as I have not registered the business nor do I have any documents showing proof of ownership.
Thanks.

I read some people are having problems with the paralegal girl in suits, na wa o, she's a good actress and they look good together, people need to chill Jare, we don't even know if romance will enter the drama

I haven't been able to get subbed episodes for last week's mistress

I plan to watch wok of love as soon as I get the time, can't miss my babies

Still dragging a poem a day, one day one day I go finish am

Which some people are you talking about
I haven't read such but if you are talking about the invincible keyboard warriors AKA netizens then I have nothing to say.

I have learnt not to take those people serious.
That lady's acting is spot on, I loved her in while you were sleeping and she's doing wonderful in suits.

Currently reading the wee cap of wok of love on DB, if Jang-Hyuk laughs his crazy trademark laugh in wok of love, please let me know, that his laugh is one of the main reason I love him.
I wonder how he did it, to not laugh at all in money flower.

Ahh Chingus, I can't remember the last time I felt this giddy about a kdrama!! Splash splash love is just too good!! I was lucky enough to meet two kdrama fans here in Calabar so I got a lot of dramas from them, I've been binge watching different ones since my exams ended. This particular one is given me all the feels!!!

Kim seul-gi is particularly one of my favorite k-actress, she is not candy-like or overly pretty (I'm not saying she's not pretty ohh) like other actress, her acting is so raw and deserves an accolade.
Splish splash love is also one drama I enjoyed a lot. the first (even second) leads had chemistry.

This is a trap right?
Oh yes I'm sure this is an entrapment.
The writers of Something in the rain must be setting us viewers up for one big tragedic fall.

Its like when your mum catches you stealing meat from the pot, rather than get angry, she tells you to go and bath then serves you rice with two meat, only for her to wake you with koboko in the middle of the night and give you the beating of your life.

Episode 5 and I'm already getting more than one bed scene (I dinnor see anything sef mtshewwww).
All of episode 5 was spent kissing, smooching and being overly cute that I think my eyes are seeing things.

I'm not complaining oh, but if the writers now goan bring one melodrama, I will write a petition against JTBC.

PS; is it only me or is Joon-hee a wee bit overly jealous, over possessive and a tiny fraction immature. He is giving me this obsessive boyfriend vibe that if this drama was a melodrama, I woulda concluded he was gonna off the ex before the drama ends.

I can remember when I was in school, three days to exam period like this, I will marathon all the kdramas I can lay my eyes (and hands) upon.

when exam starts proper, I will now use nylon to cover my TV and CD player, if that doesn't work, I will leave my house patapata (my mama will kihh me if I fail.

Therefore chingu yah, avoid any distractions and ace your exams, kdrama will always wait for you.

I just finished Eulachacha WAIKIKI and boy was it awesome. I LOVED AND STILL LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT. I am such a guest at WAIKIKI guest house that I don't think any drama will take its place in my heart anytime soon

When Lee Jun Ki was signing his autograph I almost fainted.

This drama was everything for me and I am grateful to the entire cast. It sucks to be an international fan sometimes. I wish I could really thank them go to a fan meet or just make an impact so they feel the LOVE.

I will miss princess Sol, she is such a precious actress.

Did I say this drama was everything? Oh yes it was.

The last episode was just too awesome for words.

The autograph got me rolling on the floor, Jun-ki oppa overdo.

When Dong-gu and Yoon-ah kissed, if you were like me who was shouting 'ahhh that's Jun-ki's woman you kissing, don't kiss your bestie's girlfriend' please ✋ raise your hands......anyone OK no one. Guess I'm the odd person.

When my favorite baby Sol called Dong-gu Appa, it was so beautiful and in that moment, I was so proud of Dong-gu's growth (I have been rewatching that scene since morning)

I loved that Waikiki didn't end with the six oddballs been super-rich, or famous or super-matured. I'm glad they are happy (wherever they are) fulfilling their dream of producing a movie together (im still skeptical about the success of said drama)

On another note, I actually thought the alien at the last scene was mutant man. I miss mutant man.

I will miss Waikiki seriously.

hahahaha it is really Timbuktu.

since i am not sure of what you would like, here is a short info.

i am currently following switch, live and the miracle we met as well, i find SWITCH really nice and engaging it is great when the good guys takes the lead over the bad guys sometimes and not only that Jang Keun suk oppa is doing an amazing job playing two different characters and han ye ri is also great.

the relationships of the officers in LIVE are all tangled and in the never ending web, they try to learn and grow to become better people and the process is interesting.

As for THE MIRACLE WE MET, it is almost like comeback ahjussi but there is a slight difference and it plays with ones emotions in a good way. so maybe you check them out and see which one you prefer.

if you are looking for dramas that have already been concluded with some action then you should try BAD GUYS 1 and 2 and also if you are looking for something cute and sweet like something in the rain then you can check STRONG WOMAN, WEIGHTLIFTING FAIRY, RADIO ROMANCE, BLACK KNIGHT, WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING, BECAUSE IT IS MY FIRST LIFE, DESERVING OF THE NAME, STRONGEST DELIVERY MAN that is if you haven't seen them. there are many more but i hope this helps at least.

Thanks a lot chingu! but I think my drama slump is sorta internal, like I can't find the drive to watch kdramas as passionately as before.

I have weightlifting fairy, black knight and because this life is our first on my flash but I have just watched about 4episodes each.

I find that I will just start a drama, watch like 4episodes and viola, I won't feel like watching anymore (my mom says its cos I have watched too many kdramas and I can't find anything new)

I guess I'm looking for a new storyline like Waikiki for example.

PLAY ON WORDS.....

there is definitely SOMETHING IN THE RAIN that is making me go crazy aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaa.

it is not my fault guys Haein oppa is making me rethink all my decision about everything how dare he be that sweet with his beautiful smile. i think i am going to be drunk on smiles and cuteness throughout this entire drama and it better have a happy ending. these types of dramas are what makes reality unreal sometimes.

(this drama is making me do funny things like skipping other scenes that they are not in). the company dinner was epic and that classic hiccup got me on the floor, i believe their story what a show.

You are not the only one ohhh, I actually watched this drama without sub because it was taking too long to be subbed.

If you know how many times I watched that hiccup part ehn, you will shake head for me.
The way Joon-hee palmed his Noona's hands when she wanted to extract hers is like the most sexy reaction ever.
And the way he looks and smiles at her, reminds me of LJS in I Hear Your Voice. Guy is far gone.

Everything you said is on point but I am more worried about her bestfriend than her mum, I really hope her bestfriend will understand and it will not ruin their relationship. Almost everything about the drama in terms of relationships be it siblings, friends, even the silly ex with his pictures and his date has been adorable so far, I am really hoping that the storyline will not be slow to move along.

You don't have to return to your drama slump there are nice dramas going on right now.

Don't even let me start thinking about her best friend.
I swear, if I was the one and I have a best friend like that, fear of ruining my relationship with that best friend will not even let me start the relationship.

Not meaning to sound like a pessimist oh, but Kyung-Seon is the only good thing (apart from Joon-Hee of course) in Jin-ah's life right now, the rest (especially that her mother and ex) should just take a one way flight to Timbuktu for all I care.

P.S recommend good dramas pls.

My drama world will be so incomplete for a while without Eulachacha Waikiki, i am going to miss the entire cast especially these 3 idiots. baby sol is growing up beautifully her mom usually post lovely pictures of her from photo shoots, her smile and energy is contagious. i know that KJH has been everywhere for sometime now from movies to dramas and all, i think another drama is wait for him after this so he is doing great and i am happy i also wish Lee Yi Kyung, and Son Seung Won oppa the best also.

i don't know if people didn't like Lee yi Kyung oppa on beyond the blanket 2 but the show started with a very low rating and i felt so bad for him. i hope from now on our WAIKIKI cast are more appreciated as actors.

currently watching: Switch, Waikiki, Live, the miracle that we met and something in the rain or pretty noona who buys me food.

Seriously, when Waikiki ends, I don't know what I will do with my drama life.

Waikiki is a very beautiful drama in so many ways, I'm always rewatching scenes and grinning like something else.
I am so in love with all the characters, especially baby Sol, I don't know how they manage it but her expressions are so on point.

I'm watching only two dramas right now, Waikiki and Something in the rain. Although Something in the rain is pressing all the right buttons, there are just so many people I wanna punch in this drama.

The cute in SITR is massive even at episode 4, but i know that the disapproving agents will soon rise up ehnnn, especially that her mother, that woman can turn super-man to a low self-esteemed mess with inferiority complex.
I just hope the opposition will not be too much for Joon-hee and his Noona and me, or else I will just return to my drama slump corner.

Good day ladies and gentlemen,
kindly help a fellow citizen of the earth out.

I know we are all busy with our daily lives but please spare me a minute by helping me out.

The thing is that I am very very tired of this Airtel network that I am using to download my kdrama. Formerly, I sub 2k and get up to 7gb worth of data but since Airtel double data has been discontined it is another story entirely

1k sub is just tintini 1.5gb of data, abeg how can 1.5gb EPP?? As if that was not bad enough, I have been seeing only Edge network instead of 3gb on my phone since I subscribed.

My mouth has been opened since because I have been downloading Waikiki 15&16, and Something in the rain 1&2 since last night and the download just completed this night. On checking my data balance, FIAM!!!! data e haf finish.

I really cannor afford 1k to watch 4 episodes of drama pere!! So I would appreciate it if anyone can proffer solution to this pressing issue of mine (I know it is only pressing to me).

I need a faster and more affordable data bundle. I don't mind 10gb for 1k sef.
Thanks in advance.
Yours faithfully,
Fellow K-entertainment lover.
