My mother cannot ask my brother's girlfriend to wash this mountain called plates, if my boyfriend's mother is testing me with this kinda work, then i guess i will fail. When as a girlfriend, you have started washing this type of plates i'm sure as a wife, you will be going to their house during weekends to wash clothes and do chores for the family. I don't like starting what i cannot finish.

this your post ehn, got me laughing seriously! That is what we call 'the zooming effect'. I went to visit a friend in the hospital and she was watching king of hearts, apart from this your 'zooming effect', i noticed the 'looking effect' where for over 5mins, everyone was just looking at each other, then the 'ghen ghen effect' where one woman will say SHUT UP and for more than 10mins, suspense music will be playing and everyone will pause. After 1hr or so, i realised there was just 5 scenes,

Hello Nairalanders, i just got an invitation sent to my mailbox from ICS Ltd for an interview slated for Monday 20th of March 2017.
Of all the credentials requested for to be presented on Monday, i do not have my First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).
My question is, would i be denied entry if i can't present my FSLC. I need to know cos i'm coming from Ogun state.
Also, is Declaration of Age mandatory, cos i have birth certificate, National and even voters ID. Thanks

Daughter of Zion..........

To obtain a SSCE, as 'worthful' as d certificate is, you spent 14 years (creche/KG - 3 yrs, primary- 5 yrs, secondary- 6 yrs );
To obtain OND, 14+2 = 16 yrs,
For HND, 14+2+1(d one year mandatory industrial attachment)+2= 19yrs!
For Bsc/BA, it's 14+4/5 =18/19yrs.......

But to obtain marriage certificate, all u need be is above 18yrs and u r good to go! No preparation is required. Can we see why divorce/spousal abuse/murder easily creeps in to these 'marriages'?

Daughter of Zion, if u/she can endure (approximately) 20 yrs within d 4 walls of academic institutions just 2 acquire certificates (which is not even a guarantee of getting a job undecided ) let her, and by extension you endure just 3 months on her kneels seeking d guidance from the Omniscient one!!!

Daughter of Zion.........

Thanks alot for this. Will proceed effectively. God bless u.

This will be a recurring theme in my responses but I believe the better question is why you are having "serious insomnia". What is the best treatment often only leads to treatment with medications without consideration of the actual cause.

Your insomnia could be due to a multitude of issues and it takes a good history to figure out why you are having it insomnia.
-Do you have issues falling asleep? or staying asleep?
-How long has this been going on?
-What age range are you in?
-Difficulties with mood? feeling more down than usual? stress at work? stress at home?
-Sleep hygiene: do you have a sleep routine? TV in the room? electronic devices before bed? what type of drinks before you go to bed (soda, coffee, alcohol)?
-Nightmares? palpitations/heart racing? racing thoughts?

You catching my drift?

I can easily put you to sleep with medications...it just takes the right combination. The extreme of that would be the Michael Jackson story where essentially I can sedate you. However, this does not fix the problem but rather only exposes you to a host of adverse reactions and consequences. Think Michael Jackson!
I hope you find this helpful

I am currently working with a few medical colleagues in partnership with major healthcare stake holders in Nigeria on bringing world class medical care to the Nigerian population. We are very interested in hearing from the masses in order to fully understand your current thoughts, needs and desires in the ideal medical practice.

We would sincerely appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete this survey to enable us to better serve your needs. We strongly believe that Nigerians should have access to world class medical care and will work hard to make this a reality!

Hello Doc, thanks for the good work. I'm also having this same problem of serious insomnia so i will answer your questions with the hope that you can provide a lasting solution.

-I have issues falling asleep and staying asleep. I don't fall asleep until everyone has gone to bed and i wake up at the slightest sound and do not fall asleep again.

-My insomnia has been going on For as long as i can remember, i used to cry when i was in secondary school when everyone was sleeping and i wasn't.
-I am 28 years old.

-I don't have difficulties with mood. I have insomnia all the time, even if i'm stressed or not. Infact i have noticed that if i want to get about 3hours undisturbed sleep, i have to over-exert myself and get very tired (i won't sleep if i'm too tired as well)
-No TV, no drinks or food at all, i try not to sit or do anything on my bed but sleep. My sleep has a routine of its own, if i sleep early say 10pm, i wake at intervals and by 2am, sleep is gone, if i sleep late say 1am, sleep is gone by 4am.

-No nightmares, yes to heart racing and racing thoughts. I've also found out that i reason better during the night,

Piriton is the only sleeping pill that works for me, the rest just makes me tired and clueless, i generally do not like taking unprescribed drugs, i only take piriton if i have not gotten a total of 6hours sleep in 2 days.

What can i do to get better sleep. Thanks

Eeyahhh, some of the natural ways that I have tested and trusted includes
Lime and lukewarm water: add 2tableaspoon of lime into a glass of lukewarm water
Lemon and hot water: slice one lemon into 4 into a glass jug (use glass coz plastic or aluminium will react with the lemon) then add very hot water, cover for about 10mins then drink.
ginger and hot water: slice ginger into hot water, cover and leave for 10mins then drink.
Basil leafs known as efirin leafs: U either boil the leafs or squeeze the leafs with water to extract.
Hope this helps.

SO WHAT ABOUT YOU.... or are you immune to secondary school crush?

anyway RUN!!!! never get into such situations else your own will be the worst. SHE HAS A GUY and on what loose grounds did she accept another guy's RING when she has not broken up with the guy she is dating even if it is long distance. THIS IS A CRAZY WORLD INDEED....

Has LIFE not taught you that ANYTHING RUSHED has secrets that are hushed?

DESPERATION IS NEVER WISDOM. But do not let it come from you. MAYBE your mum should tell her that. I PITY THE OTHER DUDE THO he thinks his girl is faithful BUT she is already on the market. I HATE UNSTABLE UNCOMMITTED PEEPS.... hopefully he will console himself and propose to you.

Thanks a lot for this, i really wanted to avoid giving her advice cos i fear people, when the shit hits the fan now, it is my name they will start calling, unfortunately she dosen't have any1 to advice her, she's an orphan, she grew up with her aunt and was severely maltreated, her only brother now takes responsibility of her.
My mum chastised her for accepting the ring (she never accepted his proposal) and all she could say was that she was confused and didn't know what to do, apparently, the proposer insisted she keep the ring whether she accepted or not (truth be told, she has been trying to avoid him).
Regarding the last part about being a consolation prize, nahhh, not interested.

VERY LONG. A close friend needs urgent advice.
During my secondary school days, i had a very close friend, we lost contact for like 10yrs and reunited 3years ago at NYSC camp in the East, and became practically inseperable since then.
Through a series of coincidence, she got in contact with a friend of ours during our senior secondary days who happens to be a guy. After communicating on phone, the three of us decided to hook up but i was surprised when he called me out of the blue a day to our hook up, unexpectedly showed up at my place and we went out. After the whole 'its been a long time' greeting, he confessed that he had a serious crush on my friend since senior secondary days. Thing is, when we were in school, everyone and their mother knew that the two of them were seriously crushing on each other and they were the only ones blind to this fact.
We talked but i noticed he was asking for details about my friend and i answered him to the best of my knowledge.
The next day, i just decided not to go for the meet thereby leaving the two of them. She came back ecstatic and really happy to have spent time with him and that was that.
Now, two weeks ago the three of us were supposed to meet again but he called and begged me not to show up, i then made an excuse and didn't show up. Later in the evening, when he drove my friend to my place, i observed that she had a dazed look on her face and she was so out of it, i asked him what he did to my friend and he just laughed told me to ask her and drove off.
When my friend was able to reply, she told me he proposed marriage to her and i was like What The Eff? I actually thought it was a frigging joke until she brought out the ring he gave her, i was just screaming (my mum thought something had gone wrong) like who does that? Who proposes after just two dates I really cannot wrap my head around such happening!
The seriously baffling thing is that she is in a relationship (although long distanced) with another former juniour secondary school classmate who she got in contact with 3yrs ago through me (via fb), the funny thing is that this guy also confessed that he had a crush on her during JSS.
Now, she is parking everything on my head that i should advice her. I have been giving her the follow-your-heart advice but she insists i help her out.
Now these are my questions
1. Is it normal for a guy to propose like this (i'm perplexed as i'v never come across such)
2. What advice should i render cos i don't want wahala for myself in the future.

hehehehehe no one prays to come across a psychopath now

But do you know the world needs psychopath just as much as it needs geniuses?

Did you know most discoveries we enjoy today came from wars and human experiments?
From weapons to medicine, to technology. Most came from one war or gruesome violence.
TRUE! TRUE!!
Psychopaths are genius gone South.
Science and technological advancements has both negative and positive impacts, for example, most of us cant do without phones yet it emitts cancer-causing rays.
Let's ponder on HIV and LASSA FEVER. HIV was first discovered in monkey and rats/mice transfers Lassa Fever. Monkeys and rats are used as laboratory specimens, so im just speculating oh, what if some scientists cultured these viruses in a lab and let them free, the havock caused is better left to the imagination.
I just think we can advance without so many grief.

Thank you very much. There were many more experiments like that but be that as it may, I think their evil deeds somewhat improved the medical sciences.

It sure did, but let's face it, some of these so called scientists are evil sadistic killers who enjoy killing, this Mengele was known to befriend the children he was about to use for experiments, giving them candy, making them call him Uncle Mengele,he was known to derive pleasure in dissecting same children.
Some of these research does not have scientific basis or how does dissecting twins and joining twins together or fixing Taye's leg to kehinde contribute to the progress of science?
Yes, they improved science but did they have to take so many lives?
