CrimeRe: NDLEA Arrests Student With Cocaine At Lagos Airport by Buc(m): 8:04am On Nov 08, 2012
I do not see any indication that the fellow is a Nigerian. How has the mighty fallen? It could just be somebody that heard rumours of cocain being sold like salt and sugar in Nigeria and came to try.

This wait can turn out to be a blessing 4 some. I ve a friend that gained admission at unimaid in 2004 wit no Olevel, but a delay in registration till february d following year favoured him cos thats when GCE result was released and he is a graduate today. So, our wait may not be 4 ABU, but for some special people. My friend is special.
PoliticsRe: 1914 Amalgamation - A Historical Mistake? : Nairaland Political Debate by Buc(m): 1:25am On Oct 28, 2012
free2ryhme: National interest is the real element y a state exist. If state cannot define their national in terms of the realities in international politics then it cease to exist.. that is y a state can sacrificing its citizens to achieve its national interest
u re wrong. D national interest in simple term is something a state put out so any state that wishes to relate with her can follow. But there is something call core values(something I call nonnegotiable). For core values more than national interest nations go to war. And core values really are the bases for the formulation of national interest. But Nigeria should not expect me to kill anybody for her o, cos she is d enemy I know.
PoliticsRe: 1914 Amalgamation - A Historical Mistake? : Nairaland Political Debate by Buc(m): 1:06am On Oct 28, 2012
I strongly believe that if not for amalgamations the countries that would ve been within the NigerArea would be more developed than Nigeria (unless islam held back d north). Atleast, one or two of the countries would be refining crude oil and exportin refined products.
Amalgamation is only a mistake 4 those at d receiving end (the South) and a blessing 4 d north.
PoliticsRe: 1914 Amalgamation - A Historical Mistake? : Nairaland Political Debate by Buc(m): 12:45am On Oct 28, 2012
'united we stand, divided we fall', has been a lie in d case of Nigeria.
The British govt was subsidising her administration of northern Nigeria b4 1914 with grants from Britain and Southern Nigeria. The major reason 4 amalgamation was for the South to bear the burden. So, until the North ve no need of the South, the South should continue living with the 'northern yoke'.

Y aren't u people argueing reasonably instead of sentimentally.
PoliticsRe: Chinua Achebe: Why Nigerians Hate Igbo by Buc(m): 4:18pm On Oct 20, 2012
Clearly he's being sentimental and must ve his reasons for such a position. But his sentiment is being given credence by corruption in d country. We ve issue to iron out in this country and ve always pretended there are non, and individuals or groups ve been trying at different point or opportunity to voice their mind(no matter how crude or sensible d views) and until we iron these issues out I don't see Nigeria making significant progress.
I don't want to make a case 4 d Prof but I ve long believed that d disposition of d Ibo nation in this unity called Nigeria is more cultural than any other reason and by cultural I do not opine any culture superiority, but cultural incompatibility. B4 islam islamic northern Nigeria had 'center' mentality with its operating elite class and yoruba society had similar arrangement, but it wasn't something d Ibos were used to and despite years of seeing it operate in this country d Ibos still ve not been able to embrace d idea completely. Take 4 example my part of Imo state, we never ve problem with crowning a king because d practice is alien to us, infact if u see my town's king on d way and bow like d yorubas/hausas do, he's likely to be embarrassed while d yoruba/hausa kings feel proud of such gesture. We don't ve serious competition for d crown and terms like 'prince', 'king mother', 'blue/royal blood' etc are not in our vocab. And whereby d emergence/existence of an elite group that has shown to be agents of merginalization makes it more difficult. It is hard 4 me to be loyal to a state where I pay taxes and oil money from my land pays d salary of a lawmaker that is not subjected to d law promulgated 4 me to live by. A country where a lawmaker can boldly rape d constitution by sayin 'as a muslim d sharia law comes first b4 d nigerian constitution', and u expect people u refuse to give reasons to believe to be happy.
If we do not talk about how to live together, one day an outside power who's interest would better be catered 4 by separation would play one group against d other/s and as easy as d fulanis were able to take control of hausaland so would we ve to face reality in nigeria. Then, we can only pray its not as bloody as d previous time.

Neocolonialism=having economic, political or cultural control by hegemons over dependencies (powerfully states over weak/poor states),
father of Nigerian nationalism=Herbert Macauley. As we know lagos was d center of nationalists' movements in Nigeria, which was mostly led by returnees/repatriates from d Americas(Cuba, Brazil etc), Europe (Britain & Portugal), West indies (Haiti, Trinidad, Tobago, Dominican rep, etc) and Sierra Leon. It should be noted that many of this former slaves or their descendants who returned settled in Lagos not because they were lagosians, but because many only remember or were told lagos was their port of departure out of Africa. Though, some moved inland to settle. Some were rejected by their people because d only thing African about them is/was their skin colour, so they returned to lagos were d British had maintained it presence since d bombardment of lagos in 1851 and subsequent annexation in 1861. These returnees had learnt d White man's culture (western education and etiquette inclusive), so were a class apart compared to their brethrens. But, d refusal of d whites to accept them as equals drove them to hate and resist colonial govt's policies. Herbert macauley was a descendant of this group, Ajayi Crother was his grandfather(Bishop) and despite he was more educated than most white man occupying administrative positions he was discriminated against and he opposed d colonial govt for it. As a Black man, well lettered and could speak yoruba it was easy for d people to identify with him. He petitioned d colonial govt at different times and even went as far as d privi council in London during d Eleko Eshugbayi affair.
Bernard Boudillon 1935-1943. He was responsible for dividing Nigeria in to 3 regions. He left d North intact with of his excuses been that d people were/are more homogenous than d South. Who could ve imagined that such uninformed decision was to contribute in keeping Nigeria disunited till date back then.
I blive a govt student couldn't ve given clearer answers, because it wasn't govt guestions but history. So, I'm using this medium to inform us that I'm a history teacher(ve about 8months to be certified), those of u there should putting ur ears down 4 me to know where d jobs @.Thanks.

Wit people posting aggregate scores of over 280 for law, I ve lost hope long ago. I'm feeling there may be about 200 or more scores between 280 and my 256. I guess some people wanted or may be, deserve it more than I. The thought of going through d long process again next year is kind of annoying.

CrimeRe: I Feel Like Commiting Suicide by Buc(m): 3:27pm On Aug 15, 2012
I remember I turned 17 @ d period I was sitting 4 my ssce so, I'm guessing u re about d age. To think of suicide cos of not too bad result clearly tell of your immaturity. But, I do not intend 2 discourage U from killing yourself, infact I want u 2 know there would be more and seemingly justifiable reasons y u should kill yourself that u would definitely ve if u continue 2 live but, know that your death would be a waste cos, it will serve no purpose, it ll not stop ur father from having sex again, neither ur mother or ur brother/s from trying 2 woo any girl/s he/they finds attractive or your sister/s from giving in 2 any guy/s they like not 2 talk of me not trying my luck @ an attractive sister of yours, it would not change anything about Nigeria or waec's operations, your killing urself would not even make those who had worse result kill themselves or make rapture happen, if u ve a lover now know that ur death doesn't stop him/her from wanting 2 b fu_cked by someone else. Like I said earlier that I do not intend 2 discourage u, I just want u 2 realise its 'you' u should be worried about first and not others. You shouldn't worry urself about d performance of others or what they think to want 2 kill urself.

mastroesco: If you were the VC of UNN and you find out examiners came in with answers to ur question you will go on with the exams right??
Last time I checked, Unn doesn't accept Second choice. So what are you sayinghuh You sound frustrated and unrealistic. Getting Mad at UNN won't help you. People are reading passing and graduating u dey here dey complain. Read Harder you go pass bro.
So, is't my doing it leaked? Isn't it stupid that d school had 2 go out 2 pay somebody 2 print her exam questions? And some ignoramus call unn d best university in Nigeria. D only university I know that does such, and it is a clear sign of corruption in d system. Either d printing was contracted to steal funds @ inflated price, corruption has led to her not been able to own or maintain her printing press or staffs of d institution can't be trusted 2 handle it. Which ever d system is corrupt.
U quote my post and say I sound unrealistic and frustrated, U would make sense if U argue against my points rather than what u ve done. U said "d last time u checked unn don't take second choice", I blive u must ve checked ur ignorant mind or "hear says" cos, u clearly didn't check d utme brochure and didn't notice that provisions were made by d institution 4 2nd choice candidates e.g exam venues. If I can gain admission @ unilag no institution in Nigeria would I not be able 2. Unn made d process 2 cos me inconveniences that turned out good 4 others, thats my point and I ve gain from cancelations and postponemant at other times too. I'm only wondering d change I see in my result.
EducationRe: UNN 2012/2013 Post-Utme Result Officially Released by Buc(m): 4:38pm On Aug 02, 2012
Johnsinia: All is well with unn ma guy, Unn only giv u wat u give dem. She no send anybdy even if na 0 u get. Pls, blame urself 4 ur failure instead of ds prestigious uni bc even as u r complaining of massive failure, i bet u dat guys dat score high i.e as high as 370 r also many, ds means d fault of ur failure is nt frm unn bt frm u.
At d very time ds set (2012-2013) of unn pume arrived nsukka 4 their exam, i knew dey r heading 4 failure bc theres no single sign of seriousnex in dem; All i can is effisy, fashion, show, roaming around, womanising etc. No concentratn atall, and nw u r blaming ur ass 4 ur failure. Unn still remain n will continue 2 b d best uni in naija as long as transpiracy, discipline and academics is concern and nt effisy, fashion, web or google popularity, structures n beautificatn.
U re an imbe-cile, an imbecilic fo ol. I've not blamed unn (@ this point not worth "UNN"wink, I only mentioned an observation and a ful is telling me I am blaming unn. If u say nothing is wrong with unn, thats your business. If u re a reasonable person, I can put forward logical arguments to blame unn that would make sense to a reasonable person.
1. After preparing psychologically and financially to sit for exam unn canceled it.
2. As a 300level student in Lagos, I took time off my second semester to prepare and money from my allowance to embark on the trip to Nsukka only for unn to cancel @ the end. And I did my first choice pume after unn's cancelation. So, after psychologically preparing 4 3 exams (my school exam inclusive), I should skip my lectures and stop reading my priorities 4 pume when my exams re close?
3. I was shocked that I scored 3 over 10 in commerce, even if i didn't prepare 4 it I know I'm good @ it and thats where d mark was later changed to 4 and i'm expecting more adjustment though, I've taken my mind off unn.
I can go on but, no need. Unn is/was my second choice. I know who I'm and what I want. Unn will only end up killing me if I choose to be there cos a school that doesn't allow student unionism, can't produce citizens or leaders but, zombies. U need to see where students bath @ Njoku hostel, u will know d school's management has no plan to produce dignified humans. Most importantly a school that ve not been able to develop it's surrounding after 50years of existance or liberate d region its located from infrastructural, political and economic poverty can't help me.
