PoliticsRe: How and Why Gowon Ceded Bakassi To Cameroon!! by Buc(m): 2:39pm On Dec 02, 2012
Sweetnecta: i often dont comment on politics and specifically in matters of tribes.
however, i will make an exception here because i am both yoruba and muslim.

i am old enough to remember years before the coup of January 15, 1966. the military men and if any woman were not seen, but maybe heard about if you are from families of influence or living near their barracks.

the yorubas, as much as i and others in my family starting from my father [ra] did not camp with Awolowo but Akintola when it comes to politics, yoruba, indeed the old western region which at that time included the old midwest had progress. progress based on their singular identity of one people within Nigeria. progress in free primary education. progress in economics based on Cocoa and others. to me, Yoruba could do better now without the oil and the saying that before the discovery of maize, the birds were eating something applies, always.

if the yorubas were not within the 75% in authority in Nigeria, but the igbos actually had the 75% choke hold on the population that is more than 60% only to control 25% of authority, why then the coup and why are you young igbo who got your stories from your fathers or grand fathers or even great grand fathers angry at the yorubas? people write history to fit their interest. the honest eyewitnesses are the one who could relate the story plainly.

my family as a who has not taken a single penny, even kobo from an igbo. we gave our sisters to them without asking for bride price since no female of ours is for sale. when we marry igbo women we make sure we act as husbands, responsible for all her needs, including what her people need.

if you have issue with awolowo, leave us the yorubas out of your grievances. I even wish to sue the Awolowo holdings and it is my older brothers who have been against this intention of mine. Akintola the last premier of the west didnt like him. so it is not like Awolowo is loved by every yoruba. same must apply to igbos when it comes to Azikwe and or Ojukwu, if we are sincere to ourselves.

As to islam. the north is not the owner of my religion and my great grand father practiced this very religion which must have been in my family for more than two hundred years now.

Today, the role of the yorubas is limited in the government. and when it comes to oil, all the so called engineers from all the nnpc documents that i have seen have been people outside the yoruba tribe. we may not need the oil because we may have ours soon. after all it is the land that contains the oil that continues to the west. if the east is blessed, since there is no biblical manifesto cursing the west, so can the yorubas.

I think the yorubas can do better without anything from anyone.
experience sure is a plus.
I've always felt Tinubu would be seen as Awo tomorrow. And U re right Sir, Zik was no hero of mine and Ojukwu was no hero to me also. If Biafra had worked back then, he would ve been synonymous with Gadaffi today I believe. Cause reports of his administration of Biafra, while it lasted was dictatorial. But, I may be wrong, may be prevailing conditions made him so.
PoliticsRe: How and Why Gowon Ceded Bakassi To Cameroon!! by Buc(m): 1:34pm On Dec 02, 2012
The reason the SW would never support the secession of the SE is because it terrifies them to remain with the Fulanis and I don't blame them, even the thought of it makes me feel pity for them. And history thought us the Fulanis had a hand in the collapse of their greatest kingdom and empire(Oyo empire) and probably would ve conquered them outright if not for the coming of the Europeans.

When the Peoples Republic of Biafra actualises, Cameroon will ve to give up Bakassi or face the wrath of Biafra.

sambussie: I'v always known that "Nigeria" is a mere joke & a geographical eentity than a nation.
We all wanna brk out, †ђз one's who are against it, are those who are benefiting 4rm 9ja's problem.
Is our coexistence really †ђз problem?
What do we stand 2 gain if we brk apart?
†ђз same thieves milking 9ja will b †ђз same pple who will rule us. If we brk apart.
Hence brkn apart is lyk cutting ur head cuz of a migrane.
breaking the country up is like breaking up the large and strong system of corruption. There is no way a yoruba thief will use the same patern of thiefing and the yoruba race would permit it cos, arawani. So also one Iboman can not stand and steal from the whole Ibo race with impunity.
PoliticsRe: Africa's Richest Woman - Nigerian Folorunsho Alakija by Buc(m): 2:35am On Nov 28, 2012
Baby mama: To be honest with you I am actually elated that a woman owns part of the oil block in that country
I could have sworn it was mainly northern men and a few SW males and some token others controlling the thing and robing us blind
To know that a woman is out there with the guys prospering from our oil and looking stunning while doing it makes me happy.
Why should people crucify her?
People should leave her alone
so, because a woman is among the robbery gang, we should be glad?
PoliticsRe: Africa's Richest Woman - Nigerian Folorunsho Alakija by Buc(m): 2:09am On Nov 28, 2012
JayKayMaybachz: Kudos to her sha ........ cux she reps naija .... am proud of her ......... btw dis is the same networth as that of Madonna's who is a musician "$600 million" without going into oil bizness ...... onyibo get money scatter
'she reps naija' and naija reps corruption=she reps corruption. States are not allowed to manage resources within and we hear individuals who do not possess the know how or technology owning oil blocs only to later sign away such to established companies to manage. Why can't the govt do it straight and maximise the collective profit? Pity, people celebrating sources of Nigeria's underdevelopment.

But if not it might be late 4 u to even regret. I ve scored an 'A' (71%) @ post ume b4 and didn't get my choice and my name didn't even come until third list when lectures had gone far and I had been offered admission at a cheaper school (unilag) which I turned down earlier and it was late 4 me 2 go back 4 it. Abum onye Mbieri, Mbaitoli . I ve a higher score than urs, but see my chance of making it as low. Though, I applied 4 law.
RomanceRe: Fulani Chief Calls For Inter-tribal Marriages Among NYSC Members by Buc(m): 6:21pm On Nov 14, 2012
Christians do not be deceived. The man's idea woult favour us at all. Muslim yorubas hardly allow there daughters to marry christians who re yorubas. It is there religious practice that their men can marry nonmuslims and to make sure they covert them. And at the same time their girls are not allowed to marry nonmuslims. So, christian girls who fall for the man's deception would end up in an harem.

werepeLeri: Mr Tunde. If you are ever serious, why not go to the prison and offer yourself first? Must you wait for others? See why revolution can never happen through these people? If you want to be taken seriously, go to kirikiri and ask to be locked up for a week, why do you have to wait? Mtcheewww.

Jealousy na him dey worry you as per saying money for jets comes from Abuja. Keep quiet make we hear word, fake pastor.

Gorrbachev: The right to bear arms. Armed robbery will reduce by at least 80%.

pros: It will discourage those animals that like going into homes to ra-pe, snatch cars and steal small change (emergency money)

Cons : armed robbery will become more deadly for banks and businesses that carry alot of cash.
job creation would reduce robbery better. And its solution is more sustainable and safe. U don't want guns in d hands of unemployed Nigerians, cos if u splash water on them wit your car, instead of the five fingers waka, u probably would be getting five bullets shot at u.

Nigeria. I see more jets coming.
But, how is it that, the country can't own and manage an airline, while individuals buy and maintain planes? If not for tribal wickedness I see no reason why rail transport is not working and refineries Can't serve us.
PoliticsRe: UK Guardian - Nigerian Army's In A Shocking State by Buc(m): 2:28pm On Nov 10, 2012
ROSSIKE: Another Useless, worthless, garbage report.

Who was the source of the claim? The Guardian (UK) does not state. For all we know it was the Guardian reporter himself inventing the claim using his 'unnamed source' as buffer. Don't trust these UK reporters past where you can see them.

It really would help if Nigerians start to read these dodgy foreign reports with their brains, and discard them accordingly. Was it not this same British media that gave all the credit for ECOMOG ie Nigeria's removal of the rebels in Sierra Leone to Tony Blair? If you were in the UK at the time like I was, you would think it was the UK military that brought the conflict to an end, such was the completely biased and false reporting of the conflict! Not a whiff about Nigeria and the huge, pivotal role she played in the conflict.

Now today they issue this wild and baseless report about Nigerian troops and some of you just gobble it up without thinking? Pathetic.
instead of u to make your comment, u choose to insult Nigerians cos of what they choose to believe or not. I know British activities in Nigeria from 1851 to 1960 and 1967 to 70 played no small role in Nigeria's underdevelopment, so I know they don't love Nigeria. But, that doesn't mean I will deny reality because of the source. U said something about Nigerians not using their brains, but I can tell u our brains don't need European school's refinement to know that the Nigerian Army is a microcosm of the larger Nigerian society to know the level of corruption in there. If the British society is light years ahead of Nigeria's in terms of development what kind of brain made u think the Nigerian army is metres behind their army? When u talk to your European friends, lie to them as u like but don't do it with us Nigerians. If u want to make other Africans around u feel proud of u as a Nigerian, fine. Can u lie to ur neighbours that ur father drives an SUV, when he drives a VW golf?

if your friend is still a young person(25 or below) and his/her parent ve no qualms meeting his/her financial needs I advice he stays in school. But if d above is not d case tell him to grab d job. If he is determined about his studies, he would try follow work at school from outside by reading necessary materials and wit one month pay even if he can't be physically present he can still get no less than a 3.5gp a semester.
