But honestly, it should be that once you have gotten visa, however you manage to get to the place shouldn't matter. Whether you beg somebody for a lift in his personal jet, use your own canoe, follow oil tanker or cargo ship, drive, hide inside somebody luggage or somebody lap you, walk or swim or even catch a jet stream, how you get there shouldn't matter, just let immigration know when you are going and when you arrive. People, stop insulting the guy. Some fly basically because it seems thats the only means. Me no go lie, I'm afraid of flying.

May be we should ve a rethink about Ashawos and their trade. Because there are men who do not ve the confidence to talk to the kind of women they like and our society being what it is, a lady would rather loose out instead of approach a guy she likes.
I don't understand why a guy would not be able to accept "not interested" or "its over". Pls let stop denomizing Ashawos and there customers, this may bring about reduction of this evil (rape). There is energy seeking expression and the society doesn't allow it. Corruption has destroyed the society's economy and made guys who should be married at 20years of age stay longer and hopeless. Since, our politicians are not reliable and would not stop stealing, Ashawos can help funnel away the energy that is leading to rape and save our society from more danger than we think it will cause. So, lets stop denomizing it. I ve said my peace, may God not let us loose any of the women in our life like this. Amen.

bigx: What part is a lie?

And how did you determine cheap?
Naira Value?
Naira value to Earnings per share?
Naira Value to Assets?
Profits to Capital Deployed?

If you do your valuations properly, a 100 naira stock can be cheaper than a 50kobo stock

For the part about saving for the future, sorry to say, you went about it in the wrong way.

Look at this thread, https://www.nairaland.com/1233138/stock-performance-2000-2003-date

that is all real life data.
whatever yardstick you use to measure value there must be a benchmark. But, the Nigerian Stock Exchange is a fraud. There were no value to stocks sold during Soludo's governorship.
20%, 30% or even 50 or 70% loss is/may be understandable, but, 90 to 100% loss is fraud.

bigx: Its not a Nigerian but a Global thing, human emotions cause it and we are in a free economy so Govt has no business (ideally) in the market.
I've spent the last 2 years buying undervalued stocks,
This year the market has started booming again, and that's when everyone wants to put in their money, this is the time wise people pull out their money/reap from their investments because people looking to make quick money would load their life savings into the market, simple economic laws of demand and supply would would shoot prices through the roof (at which point those who were wise to buy in the quiet period sell off speculative holdings), as money is pulled out, prices tumble, late entrants make little or nothing, then blame Government and the Devil
you lie. I bought when it was cheap(ecobank) . Back then I had money, but no time to spend it. I wasn't interested in their bonus or dividends, I only invested because its going to take time to get cash back and that would make me not want to depend on it for something that is not very important and planned. But now, lost everything. Not everybody go for profit. I did for safe keeping and there is not safe. Esp NSE.

The stock market in now a "no go area" for me. To me its a scheme of the Government as numerous others to steal from the poor and give to the rich.
Come to think of it in a country where corruption reigns, I should ve expected the crash.

The govt is really wicked to poor Nigerians. Collect alot of money from Nigerians for jamb form and later more money for post jamb and yet, over a million will not get admitted and now pay to join the army.
Corruption has been institutionalised. Take corruption out of Nigeria and see a miserable people.

Since we Nigerians have chosen to invest time and money on the abstract, we should never expect the physical rewards. The so called men of God have being investing in the physical, like Dangote and are reaping physical rewards. Pay tax, we no go gree. But, pay tithe so God will not deny you blessings, that one be correct. When you no pay tax and you go still expect Government not to deny you privileges.

Pls Nairalanders, I need u to help this guy, cos if you start falling for simple non intelligent scanners like this, I would be able to carry out my plans confidently. And my main targets would be born again christians (since they ve already been brainwashed) and sentimental/fanatical muslims.
I intend developing my own pages with pictures from all parts of the world's crisis areas. My pages would each be designed to prick a particular group's pity, making them credit designated accounts for that particular page. Take for example, If I design a page for muslims to contribute cash and materias for those in Myamma suffering persecution and for rebuilding burnt mosques. The muslim ummah around the world would definitly contribute very well.
Or on a page with pictures of people in different refugee camps in Syria and Turkey, saying 'the Arab spring is no revolution against sit tight dictators o, the muslims in the Arab world are only waging a jihad to kill or expel the Christians from their homes o'. Including telling lies of how churches ve been targeted in those areas. I'm sure that would get the christians in Nigeria and abroad.
Mehn, I need to start registering charity organisations with the corapate affairs commission and opening accounts that international magas too can pay me through.

You ve bad breath, everybody knows you ve bad breath. Why don't you do something about your problem, instead of quarrelling with anybody that covers their nose around you?
Nigeria is a corrupt nation. We celebrate corruption. We all look for opportunities to engage in it. The British know very well that Nigeria is a corrupt state, the Ibori and Alamesiagha cases definately showed them that, cos these are people celebrated in Nigeria and the courts in Nigeria didn't want to jail them, despite overwhelming evidence of corrupt enrichments.

you are de man, your children wont loose their root cos dey will bear your name....
itss a pity how people loose their love, life, happiness in de name of some inconsequential tribal sh.itz.

yur love and happiness aint annd will never be attached to a particular individual from a place...do u know why u experience dis heartache tryin to get dis gal"? its cos u plung all yur effort into her and i guess u may have committed some blunder into makin her know why u want her and she had to take advantage of dat.

u have to wake up, i guess u re still a very young chap stil in school...u have to undastand how life works.

let me give u an example with myself"
i am IGBO from Enugu, all de while i have been lookin for a partner, i ve not met an igbo lady dat matched my earch criteria, not that dey dont exist but i have ot met, what would i ve done? wait and keep searchin? no man,
i am currently with a YORUBA LADY, she is just one great individual dat each time she crosses my mind, broad smiles come to my face, FUNMI is yoruba, but i am just so so happy with her, i will get married to her as it pleases GOD and be happi cos my hapiness doesnt lie in Igbbo ladies.
my adddvice, dont attach you hapines to a particular individual lest u be frustrated.

@OP"
Yes
You re right. Search for happiness should be the point. Beyond sentiments, I like this one. I ve already stopped the chase.

If not that I'm feeling love, I would refuse to believe it exist.
I saw a fine girl about 8months ago and fell in love wit her at first sight, but as an Ibo guy who was born and live all my life in Lagos, I had hoped to end up with an Ibo girl from my state of origin so my children don't loose their roots completely, because, right now I don't ve substantial ties with my roots, I even speak Yoruba fluently and picked it alongside broken english as my L1 languages.
But, at first sight the girl seemed to be a Yoruba girl so I had to kill the feeling, cos I don't want to start sthing I woult see through. But, one day I heard sbody call her by an Ibo name, mehn! U can't imagine the feeling I felt for that realisation. Right there and then I facebooked to search her out. Since we study at the same faculty, I had hoped that we would ve mutual friends on facebook or atleast facebook would bring her among the first people with the name since we study at the same school. And thats exactly what happened. Going through her profile I discovered she is even from my state. Mehn, she automatically became priority in my life.
I'm not as sharp and sleek as other guys in approaching girls. It took me like a month to gather courage to talk to her for the first time, but meanwhile I ve tried to find out somethings about her(level, course, lecture times etc.).
The day I finally decide to start my move. I already knew where and when she has lecture on D day by 10am-12noon and from 12noon to 2pm. And I knew she would be walking from venue A to B with her friends and I even knew how many they are likely to be in the company.
I went with the idea of not making my intention known to her or her company on that day, but I failed at it, but not badly cos neither her nor her friends new who the target was. She told me months later that they all thought I was interested in one of them when we parted. After that first encounter I kind of got turned off cos of the arrogance she displayed. But later it seemed she was trying to get my attention on that day, may be because she was the dark skin girl in the company and since I did not hint on who my interest lie among them she must ve thought its one of her friends hence the effort to get attention.
After the first meeting we kind of started talking and I realised she is who I ve being looking for and much more. Its been six months now since I opened up to her and the girl no stil wan gree. Its been more heart rendering and heartaching than the fun associated with chasing a girl. I ve made up my mind, I'm going to let her be at the end of this month, if she no gree.
So, as it stands, I'm at a crossroad can't tell if I've found my love or not.

With people lying with and about everything sacred or that should be held as sacred, oath is the way to maintain decency. I can't understand why anybody would open their mouth to say 'I love u' when u don't. I even know of somebody who went as far as getting married while having sexual relation with another.
A lady once ask me the only reason I said no was because I know she is not the one I want to build my home with. But, if any lady I wish to build a home with should ask me, fear no fit catch me. If there would be any repercussion, let it be on the defaulter. Let ve respect for other people's feelings while trying to find happiness.

I don't know if u are my great grandfather or my son, either way I don't enjoy abusing people as I don't enjoy being abused, so I'm ignoring u.
PoliticsRe: How and Why Gowon Ceded Bakassi To Cameroon!! by Buc(m): 3:09pm On Dec 02, 2012
Baba Oyee!:
Truly the invasion of the Fulanis led to the fall of Old OYO EMPIRE and the enthronement of emireship at Ilorin till date but the fear of Yorubas that time was not based on that. It was based on the fact that Chief Awolowo wnted Nigeria to remain one entity and he expected that one day he will rule Nigeria as a President though it never came to pass.
Chief Awolowo was a fearless courageous and bold leader. He may have his own fault here and there as a mortal being but he could face any section of the country. He was never afraid of the North.
He told Gen Giowon point blank, if East was allowed to go, the West will go too.
This was never a statement of fear.
All said and done,I think Gowon, Ojukwu,Awolowo and others acted according to the infomation and circumstances prevalent as at that time. The still remaon heroes. We can take up Nigeria from where they left it and forget the past. If Nigeria can unity,we can be great. We need to be patriotic.
I want to agree with U, but reality doesn't agree. As long as primary school pupils in the North can strip and kill their teacher, because she seized and threw to the ground a copy of the quaran which they were using for exam malpractise. As long as a law maker of this lie called Nigeria can boldly r.ape the constitution by saying 'I'm a muslim and the Sharia law comes before any constitution'. And as long as when people in other parts of the world insult Muhammed, islam or the quaran and some people would choose to kill their country men, I will continue to dream, wish, pray, hope and fight if need be for the actualisation of the sovereign state of the Peoples Republic of Biafra.
