I don't believe that's the full story..not going to see your uncle first is defensible... unless that so call person is in soup with American govt and they've expose the racket he is into it.

I don't have a relative (uncle) in the U. S. The agent presented that information himself. It was false.

The "X" couldn't have been there because of your change of address or "an issue"! Did you not see loads of peeps on that same queue with you, weren't they allowed in, why then was yours different? Ordinary having foodstuff in your luggage that calls for being sent to AGRICULTURE is enough to generate that " X" once you answer YES. Well, agents are hardly good news, really. Go meet him or her again now, you will be accused of not being smart. I tell you guys here today, it may be easier getting your visa at the interview than getting past the CBP some times, particularly when you have k-leg in your package. CBP? You don enter their hand before? Embassy interview na moi-moi for where those people dey if dem carry you face "secondary inspection" side.

Finally, I doubt if you will get the visa back again, misrepresentation is GRAVE! Wetin dem stamp for your visa, CANCELLED WITH PREJUDICE, CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE or just CANCELLED?

Just CANCELLED

@buchhogonzalez.
Please can you shed some light on why the address was different, how you explained the difference to the CBP and their reaction?

I don't have any relative in the U. S, however, while filling the DS160 form, I used a contact provided to me by an agent and claimed the person is my uncle. Apparently the agent has used same address for many others and I guess there was already n issue on ground.
While travelling, I used a different address (genuine), but the CBP officials kept hammering on the fact that I lied and misrepresented facts t the point of applying for the visa.
Lest I forget, when I got it, I had to validate my passport using a machine before proceeding to meet an immigration officer. When I scanned my passport, the print out had a bold "X" on it. That was when I knew there was an issue.

I took a trip to the U. S (New York) last week and was refused entry. My Visa was cancelled. Reason being that I'm visiting an address different from that I used at the point of applying for the visa. What do I do now?

Q1: Where are you staying?
Q2: Have you met this person before i.e your friend?
Q3: Why are you spending just two days in hotel, why not stay with your friend?

the answers to those questions, should be what you tell the CBP when you arrive.

I'm visiting New York for vacation.
Yes, I have met him before, but in Nigeria as this would b my first time travelling out of the country.
I don't know how he got his green card that's why I decided to start off by staying in a hotel first to avoid unnecessary stories...what do you think?

Hello house,
I intend travelling to the U.S soon. I would be spending my vacation with a friend, however, I want to book a hotel for like a day or two before joining my friend. At POE can I just state that I'm staying in a hotel or do I tell them I'm going to be with a friend?

You have to explain why you couldn't make it and also this friend of yours I hope you know how He/She got into the U.S? This is important because if your friend enter and settle into the U.S illegally and converted it to Permit or even citizenship the CBP officer may not allow you into the U.S because they felt you will do the same... just be careful.

Or better still, would it be wiser to just book an hotel?

The event I was to go for has passed. I am going purely for vacation purpose now to see a family friend.

Hello house, I was to travel last month for a wedding anniversary but couldn't because my leave vacation wasn't approved. However, I intend travelling later this month or next month when my annual vacation is approved but to a different location from that filled in the DS160 form. Please would that be a problem?

Family / Re: My Wife Double Dated Before We Got Married by buchhogonzalez(m): 12:52pm On Apr 08, 2017
ademola2017:
Hi Nairalanders,

I am in a state of dilemma as my marriage is shaking.

Before we got married, my wife treated me like a piece of shit and never gave me any regards or attention. Any little quarrel would be blown out of proportion and wouldn't talk to me for days. I did the calling always and each time I ask her why she doesn't call, she would say I should get used to it. There was a day when a baseless quarrel occurred, she accused me falsely and we didn't talk for more than two months. I stayed single and was already moving on until her friend came begging on her behalf. I wondered why she didn't come herself but all the same I accepted her back. She changed like she was doing me favor but I still persisted because I loved her genuinely.

Fast forward, we got married and I was hoping for a good future with her. As usual I was very open to her and discussed every issues with her. At a point, I found out the marriage was one sided. I gave more but got little or nothing from her. I never burden her with house chores or cooking at all. We sat always to talk about her attitude but she would say things are fine while I will be grieving and having sleepless nights. She will wake up in the middle of the night to check my phone to know if i was cheating. I swear I have never cheated on my wife... She knows my password and never hid anything from her.
As we went on in the marriage, her behavior became worse and couldn't condone it again. She never saw anything wrong with her attitude and would say her apologizes are expensive.

I decided to do a background check on her and found out she double dated all through when we started dating and gave the guy more attention for 2years of our relationship. When things went bad between them, she fell back to me and unknown to me, I accepted her back. She and her ex were still in good communication till the night I confronted her. She would rather confide in her ex than confide in me (Now husband) Now, I feel so hurt, betrayed and used and can’t trust her again.

She has been very apologetic and says she is ready to change. So if had not found out about her double ways, I will still be condoning her insolent ways. I am seriously finding it hard in my heart to forgive her. Even if I do, I can never ever forget because I do not trust her again.

What will you guys advice?

Trust me. You saw the signs but chose to be blinded by "love/lust"... Love sucks!!!

Good day nairalanders. I have been following this thread diligently for a while now. Some weeks back I went for my interview. I have never travelled, virgin passport. The VO just asked about my job, what are d challenges on my job, if I'm married etc, in less than 3 mins it was over, to the Glory of God it was approved. I planned travelling this month for my uncle's wedding anniversary, but my leave request was denied because some colleagues were transferred leaving my branch with few hands. That means I won't be able to go for the event. However u intend travelling as soon as we get new hands and my leave approved. Would I encounter any challenge(s)? Is it going to be a problem?

Guys please respond to me. Thanks.

Smoking would only compound to your health problems in the future. So long as you remain in the employment and the looming threat of job insecurity lingers, your blood pressure would remain the same.

Solution :
The threat of job insecurity removed
No magic tablet would cure the job insecurity
Stop smoking

I have decided to engage in activities that makes me happy and takes my mind off the hob whilst I'm still there.
