I opened my eyes and saw myself in another world. My Khaki Jacket was hanging on the hand-rest of the sofa I saw myself lying on.

It was a dark hall-like room, decorated with the archaic lamp stands; with its departing fragments that escapes after leaving the coven. An owl was hanging at the stick-edge of the ceiling.
The room was freezing but no sign or air-conditioner nor fan.
Beneath the transparent floor; was the putrid and bluish ocean, and the aquatic creatures were seen transporting themselves.

"Am I daydreaming?" I questioned no one, rubbing my left palm against my eyes.
I closed and opened my eyes after counting some seconds... "Where am I?" I screamed.

"Finally, you are awake." a thunderous voice echoed, causing the ground and walls to shake.
Standing up from the golden throne, was my Auntie Jennifer; in an attire of a Queen-mother, guarded by a Wolf and a Cheetah.

"Auntie Jennifer, where are we?" I stammered
"My name is Amynta; Goddess of the sea, and you are in my Kingdom" she started... "Buchi, the Auntie Jennifer you have known all along, isn't what you think she is ...i am a Lonely Queen in this kingdom, seeking for a mortal; to be made a King, a lover and a co-ruler. These women and men you see, are under me, living happy when I, the Queen is drowning in loneliness, that's why I decided to embark on a hunt for a King. On my touchdown to your world, I found myself in your compound..."

I was so confused that I fought hard not to buy that from her, she went on to clear me

"Your vice principal; I killed him, for whipping you. I'm sure you still remember Chekwube? I instructed Chloé , (Auntie Jennifer pointed one beautiful brunette) to bite him as a lesson of what I can do to protect the one I loves dearly. I made your admirers: Miss. Oyedele; you Biology mistress, the principal daughter, your classmates and so on, not to develop any romantical interest, aside from Maureen; because I loved her. There was a day you fell sick and Maureen took you home, your History teacher after lecture asked you to see her in her office, I knew of her plan of wanting to sleep with you but I don't want to bring my wrath upon her; rather I made you to develop a severe migraine and made you go home... "

After explaining those scary revelations to me, I asked her "So when will I be going back to my home"

"Am sorry Buchi, I don't think you will be going back there again. You have to be here and rule your people"
"Noo! Am going back to my parents, I can't stay here, besides I'm a mortal"
"You are now immortal, and this is your kingdom; our kingdom, and you; as a King have to stick by and foresee that your kingdom is been ruled well. From now on, your name is now Athen, husband to Amynta..."
"That's impossible!!!" I screamed, charging like a wounded bear.

"Bia Mmadu, what kind of nightmare are you having, that's making you to scream and sweat like a boxer?" my elder sister asked me.
"Owh! Thank god that it's just a dream" I made sign of the cross, as I tried controlling my heartbeats.

I looked at my phone, and it was 10:42am.
"Nnaa, that new tenant have packed in"
"Who are they?"
"Just a lady, tall, fair and beautiful. I overheard the landlord calling her Jennifer"
"That wasn't just a nightmare, I will be relocating to Uncle Kingsley side, from there I'll be going to school" I told my sister.
"What happened" she queried

I narrated all that happened in that nightmare to my sister and mom, then in the evening I took my bag and went to my uncle side, there I stayed and finish my school and leave the state.


THE END

It was over a month that she came into our compound.
Auntie Jennifer as I use to call her, was an egoistic being; more of a narcissist. She have never been spotted with a male friend. Never have her brother nor father visited her.

Barely do Auntie Jennifer comes home with or been visited by a female friend, but whenever she comes with one, every man both married and bachelors will daydream while some will turn a self-servicer which the bathroom and soap will be the one to suffer.

She was awarded to with the accolade 'The Snub,' because everyone who tried talking unnecessarily got shunned and snubbed, so I had to Auntie-zone her and make others jealous.

One Sunday morning, she was about getting set to do some laundry work, with her clothes and other dirties outside ready to be washed.
Everyone has gone to church some inside sleeping or doing one thing or the other.

I walked up to where she kept her empty gallon, grabbed it and said "Auntie Jennifer, give me money I want to go and fetch water maybe I'll help fetch yours equally."
She casted a strange and cold gaze at me that I almost melt into wax. Luckily as I planned, my 'Chi' was strong for her to resist the offer so she gave in and handed over a N50 note.

There we became close: running errands for her, helping her on some various house chores etc.
Others wished to be me, and I'm proud to be me.

"Abuchi" Mom called one day and ushered me into her room. When I came in honor of her call, she asked; "Who do you say that lady is to you?"
"She's my new Auntie"
"Where's she from? "
" I don't know yet mom"
"And you are so close to her like this eh Abuchi? "

Mom and her religious lifestyle of a Joseph. She started narrating to me, her strange and scary nightmares of hers she do have about me: how she took me to a strange river. How she took a blood oath with me. How she made me her sexual satisfier, this and that.

"But mom, I'm only helping Auntie Jennifer. We all know she's a Banker, so she's always fixed up. No strings attached"

"I've told you what I have to as a mother. A stubborn fly goes to the grave with the casket. You can now go, but always be careful"

"God forbid" I uttered within. I thanked her and goes off to meet my friends who were waiting for me outside...

Two years after Mr. Roland got separated from his family, by his extra marital affairs with his numerous girlfriend, like a broken spell; he came back to his normal Intuit.

At night, after dinner session, 4 year old Rina couldn't hold back her curiosity again, when she speared her mother a question, amidst tears in her eyes; "Mom, since 2 years ago we left Nigeria, Dad told us that he will join us soon after he must have finished his contract at hand, and I remembered on Murphy's birthday eve, last year, he asked you when will and why haven't Dad come back. All you could say was that he will join us sooner than he expect. Mom, what's going on? "
Mrs. Murie lost air, lackadaisically, she stared at her Daughter, opened her mouth to say something but words flew out her mouth.
"Murphy, take Rina to her room, I'm having migraine tonight and can't talk much as a result of the stressful day I encountered in the office today." Their mother said, going up instantly.

"Okay Mommy, you need to rest yourself. Love you" Murphy said, and turned to Rina, wiping away her tears, ushering her to the upper stairs which leads to their rooms.

Let the earth bless the night I knew her

This notion, is mostly been misinterpreted to as Misandry; which is been mostly seen on the Television program, soap operas, home videos or so.

In some country like Saudi Arabia, Vatican, and the rest of its kind, sees it as as an omen, to permit a woman to rule the nation.

Some equal rights are also been denied from them, like in the Saudi Arabia; driving license is been refused to grant to the female gender.
A rape victim will be charged either to marry the rapist or another charge been passed on her.

In Yemen and Afghanistan, a woman is seen as half a witness ; a single woman’s testimony isn’t taken seriously unless it’s backed by a man's testimony or concerns a place or situation where a man would not be .
And women can't testify at all in cases of adultery , libel, theft or sodomy.
And a 'She' had no right to leave the house without the husband's permission.

In Saudi Arabia and Vatican, women are been disenfranchised

In Sudan, a woman dare not wear a trouser or she will be sentenced to 40 or above lashes.

In Pakistan, it is legit for a man to beat the wife, as he wants.

India legalizes the husbands to rape their wives.

In Lebanon and Malta, any man who commits a kidnapping, rape or statutory rape can’t be prosecuted as long as he marries the victim afterwards.

In Egypt and Syria, a man can kill his wife and get off with a far more lenient punishment than is typically given for murder, if he catches her in an act of adultery.

In Nigeria, a man can legally assault a woman without facing prosecution if she is his wife and if there is no ‘grievous’ hurt.

In countries such as Cameroon and Guinea, husbands have control over the jobs that their wives are allowed to do, since a man can ban his wife from having a different trade or profession from him.

In Israel, marriages and divorces sit under rabbinical law, which states that divorces can only take place if requested by the husband.

In Tunisia, women’s inheritance rights are limited: sons inherit twice as much as daughters.

With these laws been disbanded, and equal right been given to the female gender, we will make the world a better place to live.

Say no to Misogyny, say no to Misandry.
Equal right is what we need.
