You are actually thinking in the same line,i presently doing my compulsory one year NYSC in Isiala-Ngwa North,Abia state.I discovered that the nearest place where there exists internet connections are Aba or Umuahia, been a very industrious and IT inclined person i have been trying to see the possibility os using one of this CDMA telephones(Starcomms,Multilinks,Bourdex) and my main source of backbone, with this CDMA lines one could still have 2-3 computers running but not at top speed anyway.
My major headache is that my stay is quite limited,i should be oncluding my service by August and investing the little token i have managed to save into a business i cant really say what do futur would look like, i have rather decided to sell out the idea,but i can help with the implementation anyway.
This whole idea of VSAT and the rest are good but my advice is do not invest too much at the beginning,everyone is trying to market themselves,so beware.

Simply settle for Multilinks their mode of payment is more flexible and their customer care is ok.Starcomms suck, recently discovered that their firewall has been blocking some websites, just buy the phone,a data cable and a PC with a COM port for the connection and you are up within minutes, if there are questions u can reach me on 08034087776.

Where are you located?If Lagos most of these PTO like starcomms,Multilinks and others provide reasonable cheap internet access for SME,home users, settling for VSAT might not be too cheap, let me know where you are located then we see what to provide,
