Celebrities / Re: "Rentals Dont Come With Two Keys" Daddy Freeze Support Huspuppi by Buffalowings3(m): 9:21am On Mar 08, 2019
LordAdam16:
Since Freeze often hampers on judicious investments and businesses rather than donating to scammers in robes and bespoke suits, I'd expect him to press on these individuals- HP, Mompha et al to establish large conglomerates in Nigeria. I'm not talking clubs or two star hotels; but anything from real estate to manufacturing. Nigeria is a difficult market but the pay off is huge and they can get social currency for creating jobs back home as well as whitewash their funds if it's from illegal sources.

Not this glorification of ostentatious goods. Personally, I attach more cred to Nigerians living in Nigeria getting these luxury items than HP in Dubai. First off, there is no income tax in Dubai. That's 25% to 30% freed up that ain't going to thieves in public service. Then there are amazing financing options available to these so-called "big boys" that isn't available to upper-class resident Nigerians. With a good line of credit, you get to put 10-30% down and pay less than 5% APR over 3-5 years. That way, for a $500k luxury car (after options and others), anywhere from 50k to 150k will get you a delivery date.

And then, the crazy part is that the cumulative duty for new cars in Nigeria is 70% (that's 350k for a 500k car), while it is comparatively negligible in Dubai. And then you talk about upgrade options. In Nigeria, upgrades are practically unheard of. While over there, your dealer will be enthusiastic to take your older Royce, tack on a few tens of thousands or hundreds depending on the condition of your older car, and you receive delivery of the latest and baddest without having to pay full MSRP.

To give an example more folks will relate to. It's like Samsung offering $500 off its S10+ price to S9+ owners in much of the developed world. That's 50% off it's list price, and the buyers don't even have to fork over the other $499 all at once, since they can stretch it out for a few tens monthly over 24 months. The interesting part, buyers still get accessories like the Galaxy buds that cost $150 for free. While us in Nigeria have to pay almost 400k out-of-pocket for the same phone.

Lastly, luxury cars like the Bentley and Rolls are just a step up above the S-Classes and Ranges; which in Dubai is like the middle class. Neither hushpuppi or mompha will turn heads when they show up at a club or five star hotel in a Continental or Ghost. That's what rich kids take to school. Do you own a f*cking Sweptail? How many hyper cars are in your garage? Do you have a limited edition Divo, an Agera RS or Regera, or a Zonda? Did you commission your own f*cking model? Were you the first, second, or third to take delivery of a production super car? What's your number plate?

Not posing on Instagram desperately fishing for accolades from citizens of a country where the minimum wage is just above $50. Keep Dubai as your base, but come home and tap into a 200m people market, employ thousands, increase your network, join the 1%, and then run a philanthropy. That's the good life, not gramming and arguing over purchase, lease, or rental of a luxury car.

Start something no matter how small it is become your own boss from doing little and watch it grow

The beginning may be quite difficult but the end will surely be great

Use this time to take a survey of your environment and see people's needs and find ways of solving them

Most private owners like your former place of work are that way and that will not change any time soon
Keeping mute won't kill you if you have nothing sensible to say..
Yeye boy I'm sure you're part of the people that work from home claiming to be their own bosses..
