So far so good, no fewer than three persons have began thier rather overt campaigns for the 2023 presidential elections in Nigeria. However, there's been no such overt displays from the camp of Rotimi Amaechi Nigeria's incumbent Minister of Transportation. Of all the potential candidates and presidential favourites, Nigerians will be angling to see Nyesom wike and Rotimi Amaechi square with each other in what will be a classic match of equally matched titans. So far so good, the Ahmed Tinubu, Orji uzo kalu and the Governor of Kogi state have started thier overt consultation, but it is Rotimi Amaechi who has had to perish his presidential hopes twice that has the greatest appeal. But it is rather untoward that despite all thier overt moves, Rotimi Amaechi's camp keeps mum. Perhaps they are watching the scene keenly or maybe they are preparing thier classic political underhand. Any which way, Nigerians are hoping to see Rotimi Amaechi take to the field and mesmerise us once again with his integrated lessons in political strategy. Very correct. I like your rejoinder. But you will be the first to agree with me that North East is actually a war zone. But goodwill can be bought than reviving the ancient Bornu rail lines only to have it destroyed by bandits. Never the less I like your analysis. |
There's only one thing that great men like Julius Caesar, Philip of Macedonia, his son Alexander the Great, Napoleon Bonaparte, Barrack Obama and Rotimi Amaechi have in common, it is the art of grand strategy best illustrated in the slow-slow quick-quick. It is common knowledge that Rotimi Amaechi is one of the favourite personalities expected to contest the 2023 general election. But why his competitors are embroiled in open declaration and community mediation, Rotimi Amaechi towers above them in that he knows that elections are not won by eloquent words or oratory prowess, neither is it won by antecedents, rather he understands that it is won by the capture of the dynamics of the human heart. While he would have liked the lofty position of either of the chief of staff or secretary to the government of federation, he has had to settle for the ministry of transportation. And of this rather inconsequential lemon, he has made his lemonade. His rails crisscross all of Nigeria's geo political zones thereby buying him real influence in the theatres of Nigeria's delicate balance of power. That he devoted time and resources in making sure the rail lines in northern Nigeria recieved initial priority even building a transport university in president Buhari's home state was a classic example of slow-slow. That he revived the crucial Abuja-kaduna rail lines and the all important Lagos-ibadan rail lines while going to great pains to not destroy the business of the organised transport Union by not overtly reducing the minimum rates for fares shows his mastery of the workings of how elections are won and lost. By linking the Apapa ports to the rail lines buys him the much needed influence with the organised private sector. But it is by opening up his home state Rivers state to the national rail way lines as well as getting a university built there by the contractor that shows the perfect quick-quick. Very crucially, he has demonstrated to the northern feudal North, that he has no plans to upset thier long established balance of power. Simply put, the North has nothing to fear from him. It is rather in the southern West where he has no influence with the powers that be, but just like the great Metternich a one time Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, he has plenty in his tank to warm his way into the heart of the political players therein. Like Julius Caesar, he would know how to wet the appetite of the people in his home region by making them dream again and offering himself as the very man who has been prepared by Providence to make that dream come true. There is Rotimi Amaechi, the grand master of political grand strategy. Fighting a procupine is like solving a naughty riddle, even the tiger avoids it. Contest with Rotimi Amaechi at your peril. A Win for President elect Joe Biden is a glorious win for Nigeria's Ngozi Okonjo Iweala. Recall That when the US vetoed her candidacy, the authorities at the World Trade Organisation wisely shifted thier elections until after the US election. Okonjo Iweala is a confessed democrat having been specially invited to attend the DNC nomination for former secretary of state Hillary Clinton. With the healing process set to begin with the presidency of President Joe Biden, and a return to internationalism, the World Traderade organisation will in the coming days most certainly confirm her presidency Sustainability Central continues to cheer from the sidelines this enigmatic amazon who continues to prove her mettle in the market place of ideas.

Despite being very close to mainland China, Taiwan has only five deaths. The authorities claim it's because of the efficiency of thier early warning system. There aren’t a lot of rules to follow at a wedding, except one: You can’t outshine the bride. This woman though appears to have missed the memo after she turned up to a friend’s wedding wearing a Sedductive dress. Don't know her plan though.

Sustainability Central Founder Mr Anih Ambrose has berated the World Health Organisation for acting sluggishly and not alerting the world since the outbreak of the Covid-19 Pandemic. According to Ambrose, " The WHO simply failed to alert the world in stern terms about the severe nature of this novel virus. Alpha-Beta security ratings ought to have been activated globally the moment China quarantined the whole of Whuan" "WHO simply contrived to criminally underinform the world." Ambrose chimes. Over 21,000 avoidable deaths have been recorded across the globe due in large parts to WHO's glaring incompetence. ''When at last this plaque is checked, a sober conversation about WHO and it's preparedness to prevent future pandemics must be had." Finally Ambrose condoles with the families who have lost loved ones to this plaque. He also salutes and thanks those who are at the frontline of checking the spread of the virus.
