Just watch any of his churches deliverance videos and see for yourself. I will give you 3 main ones that I gave one other guy on this thread.

1. The one where one guy was possessed with the spirit of a snake.
2. The one where one woman was pregnant for years and was healed to go deliver and the baby was moving in her stomach. Just watch it and ask yourself if that's how a baby moves in the stomach.
3. The one with one cripple guy who had been begging at the church site for some time and was healed. Check if that guy's legs looks like those of a real cripple (withered and atrophied) or someone just pretending to be one.

As a matter of fact critically look at all their "miracles" and ask yourself if you are convinced with the acting.

We are creating a new world that omits God...."spirituality".
As an adult, I'm honestly having difficulty with all of the terms...."trans-gender", "trans-sexual", "trans-vestite", fluid", "binary", "they" "them" etc...
I can only imagine the children, their confusion and I have an issue with that.

My issue is that I don't know if by doing what you suggested in the last paragraph, that is a good thing.
Placing science above God is what I liken that to...and cannot accept. I do not know how to separate God from science.....in that He is the originator of "true" & "perfect" science.

Most of us have never been in the shoes of these people so it's hard for us to understand why they feel that way. Maybe in the future all they will need is just a drug that cures the feeling. Who knows? Until such a time as that we must be careful not to solve problems with religious arguments. It hasn't worked out well in the past. Galileo is an example.

The problem with your claims about not placing science above God is that we don't all believe in the same gods. In every major really there are schisms and each groups in their religion have their own interpretation of the gods of that religion. So which gods and interpretation of gods should science respect and which should it not? And who determines that?

The best solution is to separate science from every notion of a god until it is established that a particular god is needed for some scientific breakthroughs.

However, that (corrective "genital" surgery) would fall under the category of a medical situation. I would liken it to a cleft lip sort of thing.
Gender confusion would be a whole different thing for a hermaphrodite (a person born with "2" genitals) who didn't clearly have other strong features that would identify him/her as one gender over the other.
I have known of a few people who were hermaphrodites who clearly had strong enough features elsewhere on the body to know that he/she was a male or female...

I know what you mean. So here's a scenario for you.

We are discovering new human organs daily. So what if in the future due to advancement in scientific knowledge we discover that there is a whole way a woman's brain is wired and that the male brain is wired different. And then we discover that those transgenders have the opposite wiring in their brains which is why they usually want to do corrective gender surgeries, will you be willing to entertain the fact that being transgender is like being cleft-lipped?

PS: I am not in any way stating that the scenario I painted is actually what is happening right now if anything I doubt it is. I just believe that God should be left out of debates like this or else we run the risk of having an ever capricious god whose rules are shaped by ever-increasing knowledge and science.

The problem lies in a sin corrupted world....where
1. A person can be mistakenly murdered.
2. A person can die on death row for a crime he/she didn't commit.
3. A baby could be born with a terminal illness (ex. cancer)
4. A person could be born with "2" genitals as was stated earlier in the thread
5. A person can be healthy all his/her life & still develop a terminal illness....
6. A person can be born into poverty or an impoverished nation....

Now deciding to "change" parts of oneself is a totally different thing. This was what Pastor Adeboye was speaking about....#1. Examples below...

1. Mutilating one's God-given organs (the male organ or female organ) that identify gender. )
2. Enhancing or creating one's breast --except for disease/illness reasons-- or buttocks
(Especially if born of an opposite gender)
3. Changing one's skin color to look more culturally "acceptable" (ex. bleaching)
4. Butchering one's nose to look more culturally "acceptable"
5. Continual dressing in attire that is opposite the sex one is born in etc.,

Sin affects people...because we simply were born into it. Deciding to change oneself in such dangerous and drastic ways, is saying that, "God somehow got it wrong....and didn't know what He was doing." The person then becomes a "god".

Sin covers a broad range of issues....(not just sexuality and abortion...as I always say). However, those "2" above mentioned, are the hot topics....regarding sin.
Clearly, whatever sex/gender one is born of, God clearly designed it to be...and it was no mistake...just as His creation of this galaxy was no mistake.
That is what Pastor Adeboye was saying...is what I think.

I noticed you circumnavigated the issue of corrective surgeries for people born with both genitals and other defects. Are those corrective surgeries going against your definition of god too? I know being religious gives no room nuances and you just have to put things in clearly defined boxes but I am interested to see your reply to this.

We already know that TB Joshua was faking miracles with paid actors that fake illness or demonic possession and he failed many prophecies. He only appeared to be getting prophecies right because out of the many predictions he made, his team only releases videos of the very few ones that happened after the fact. Some times many years later or sometimes even though it's not exactly correct they pretend it is.
I doubt there is any more stuff that they can reveal about the man that people that have sense don't know already.
