Just whatsapp you. |
JonesK: And your drinking it means that the chlorine will spread through your bloodstream and lie in wait for any trace of ebola to kill it right? Ridiculous stuff.Don't mind him. He is a good example of the reason the country is backward today. They are quick to believe anything negative and refuse to apply reason and logic to anything. A cursory evaluation of the information will show a discerning mind that it is at best laughable. |
Donpeak: hey! salt contains chlorine which has been confirmed 2 kill d virus...keep asking for proof o,If you have graduated please burn your certificate. There are some statements that only expose your ignorance and this is one. |
Donpeak: hey! salt contains chlorine which has been confirmed 2 kill d virus...keep asking for proof o,Very funny. Why not Dettol, Izal and the other antiseptics? A proper bath with any of the antiseptic soap and a little drop of antiseptic in water is all that is needed. The rumour flying around is linking the salt and water bath to some kind of spiritual/religious act. I am not a zombie, I asked questions and do my research. Salt and water solution won't help you at all. Take a bath with it and the only thing you have ended up doing is making mockery of the education you have had all your life. If a simple salt and water bath can prevent the spread of Ebola I am sure you would have heard it from an official and verifiable source by now and not bbm broadcast nor early morning calls from a friend or love one who is probably acting on fear. You should be educating them not fueling their fear. This is the same tactics religious leaders use to control their gullible followers. Preach fear and they will be hooked. Please a simple washing of your hands with water and a normal water bath will be enough as long as you do not purposely expose yourself to someone whose case is obvious. A salt and water bath is an overkill. It is a joke taken too far and the laughable part of it now is that some people are even hinting on a religiously undertone (one said it was TB Joshua that said it) to it. A word is enough for the wise. |
panachuku: after all God is able and can cure everytin. but our MOG wont go because this one cannot be acted. even TB joshua has banned them. lmao. con artistsHow many can boldly approach a Nigerian hospital to heal the sick there? This is same question most fanatics should be asking their "papa", "daddy", "mama" and "mummy" in the Lord. They are just boastful and when the time comes to prove their mantel they quickly take refuge in one lame biblical quote or the other. Those who are called should go and save God's children in the Ebola infested nations. They can start from Lagos and then take the "good" work to other West African countries. |
Nigeria is finished. They should close down all our universities because even with our 'education' some people still behave like dummies. No wonder so called Pastors are busy feeding fat from people's ignorance. Please stop asking ignorant questions. Salt and water won't help you. Do a little research and advice anyone who calls you with such news that it is dumb. Salt ni, water ko. |
What is your phone number? I have a graphic job for you. |
miz Gene: Hah! loool!! you saw rate of 253 and u r still waiting for it to drop more??Ma'am that rate is a fiction. I was too lazy to call for the new rate coz I didn't need to. Got further £2000 from black market at 274 today. The difference in official and the black market is alarming. |
xteeeee: I will do that on Monday, just want to see if the rate reduce more by Monday... Lol smhw for me shaI can bet my BTA that it is impossible for it to be anything below 263. The agent you spoke to is one of those agents that don't know what they are talking about. I called last week Friday and it was 267.60 when diamond bank offered 263. For your sake I pray it is true. |
xteeeee: Access bank selling for 253 very cheap, so if you need to change pound, you can visit the bank. Please check the figure you stated and confirm if it was not an error. |
miz Gene: Doesn't sound real, did u mean 263? Cos even on Oanda.com it is 259.7 n bank rate is usually a bit higher.Same thing I was going to say. Accessbank's exchange rate as at last weak friday was 267.60 when diamond bank was 263. Please call their customer care and verify. Beside the lady I spoke to insisted they don't give cash. They will insure you a financial instrument(draft or traveller's cheque) that you will have to deposit into an account in the UK. Even if you go to CBN you won't see it for 253. I want to assume it was a typo error. |
My elder bro is ready to pay cash today but it is curious why you always refuse to take calls. I told him about this ad and he has been trying to reach you for the past 2days. If you are ready to sell he will come and inspect the items today, pay and pick them up immediately. Kindly verify if this offer is still valid and endeavor to either pick your phone when you are called or atleast flash any miss call you see so they can know when you are available to talk. I noticed someone else has complained about same issue here and that doesn't seem well of a business man. |
xteeeee: Ok thanks will check zenith bank tomorrow, my sister has an account there.Don't even bother dear. Zenith bank doesn't have any for now. You should try another. |
royalsweetness: Thanks Miz Gene and Spikes CIt is simple and straight forward. Just make sure your bank has activated that feature for that account. Most banks will provide you with a token device which will generate a new set of numbers each time you press it. Log into your account; initiate a transfer request and fill in all the details; press the token and input the value in the provided space. It will ask you for confirmation and after you confirm the money will be deducted from your naira account. This means that your money has been sent to the recipient's account. It takes less than 72hrs in some cases for the money to be deposited in the foreign account and instantly for all local transactions. You can contact your bank for specific information on this. |
xteeeee: I don't have Eco bank account, only operate with Gtb... Hope I can transfer the money to ur account den u will do the transactions for me, though inconveniencing... But wld appreciate.Another option is go to bank with any other member of your family that runs an account in any of the banks I listed earlier. My guess is that they can sell to you using them as guarantor. My Dad was told at Union Bank to provide my documents and they will sell to him. I don't know if it is legal or they just want to give him that concession because he is well known there. However, before he got home I have already done the exchange at Diamond bank. |
xteeeee: Yes gtb don't, I can trasfer the naira to her account den she wld help me change and pay into my Domicilary AccountSo sorry dear but it won't work that way. My Passport was marked with a stamp and the e-ticket printout also stamped(though I can print a new one) so no other bank will honor another transaction from me. As a student going to the UK you are entitled to the equivalent of $4000 which in this case was £2440 only. Approach your bank aside the obvious ones that don't sell and they will instruct you on what to do. Ecobank, Accessbank(though high), Union Bank, Diamond bank and Zenith bank(they don't have currently) sells. Of these I am 100% sure. |
spikes C: Basically, you cannot. The pounds domiciliary account is a private/personal operated account.Hmmm. Instead of all this long story why not just activate online banking, collect a token and viola you can do transfer from your pound account to any account in the world. Who uses cheque book again? Definitely not me o. I can't even remember the last time I was in a banking hall for anything aside yesterday of course when I went to exchange pounds. |
xteeeee: Waoh... That's cool, seems u will help me out, because I don't have a diamond account... Will send u a PMNo problem but I will also suggest you try Ecobank if you have an account there. Their rate for yesterday was same as Diamond bank. |
dove30: ARE U JOKING MEEEE LOL DO U MEAN I SHOULD START DANCING ETIGI IN MY ROOM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHEN DID THEY START DOING THISBefore you start dancing etigi endeavor to stop typing on all caps. Yes, your visa application was successful. |
kunle16: I am heading to Salford on the 17th tooGood. Do you have an accommodation yet? |
miz Gene: I didn't bother with Mandilas o.I do appreciate this response. I was almost starting to think I was reading the UKBA circular on "things to bring along to the uk" . I have sent you a message concerning certain areas I still need clarification. Please a response will be appreciated. |
royalsweetness: Wow, hope it would remain same tomorrow or even get better. I should change mine tomorrow. It was 263 on Friday and 262 today. Just make allowance for +/- $1. |
@miz gene What are the food items you left Nigeria with? I will also appreciate if you can advice from experience the quantity of each item I can pack. Are fish(dried), pepper, onion and crayfish allowed? I was at Mandilas yesterday to purchase winter jacket, shoe, headglove and others but couldn't find anything I like. The jackets where 'just there' but the shoes where complete whack. Any pointers to where I can get something decent? |
miz Gene: Also want to tell u, Arik has d best luggage allowance, 30, 30, 12 kgAir france is 23, 23,12kg with any extra piece of 23kg at $120(I guess!). My destination is Manchester and not London. I got a return ticket for 200k as I will be spending my Xmas in Nigeria. Funny enough I checked again yesterday and noticed the fare has dropped to 191k. It seem to be erratic like the exchange rate. Can Arik beat that? ![]() |
I just stepped out of Diamond bank branch around my area after filling loads of forms with £2,440 in my pocket at a mouth watering rate of 262. I advice anyone that has already gotten their visa and booked their flight to just head to their bank with the documents and request for BTA. You must have an account with any bank you intend visiting(so I was told). However, diamond bank amongst all the banks I run an account with has the best rate. It doesn't need much explanation and it should be a straight forward transaction. I didn't have to beg anyone nor even know anyone. Thank me later. |
@awistle Don't you people sleep in Salford? Don't tell me you are reading at this time o. ![]() |
miz Gene: Guys got into d UK yesterday without d tb cert, wasn't tested at point of entry either ..so don't rush to spend ur money on the cert if u already hv ur visaWere you asked any question at the point of entry? I can't just wait to get there and get this whole thing over with. Thanks for the update. |
mukykaffe: Good day pals pls I want know how studying in uk is, is it complicated or howThis is a million dollar question. To every man his own. Some may see it as tough others may see it as simple. I will only advise that you can make the most of any experience as long as you are focused and follow stipulated rules. Living and studying in any country is always 'complicated'. A cup can be half full or half empty depending on how you wish to look at it. |
xteeeee: I was also informed abt CBN ban but a friend working in Diamond bank promised to help me change for 267 as at Friday but I am still patient anyways since there is still time incase the rate might fall...My friend always contact the customer care center for rates before visiting the bank. As at Friday it was 263 @ diamondbank. I wonder what rate your friend gave you but I am sure it wasn't the official diamondbank's rate. On Monday you can call diamondbank's customer care around 9am and verify the rate. After which you can proceed to the nearest diamondbank branch or you can ask the agent for a branch closest to you that will be able to complete the transaction. Thank me later. |
royalsweetness: First and last time I tried changing money at the bank, I was told CBN had banned banks from changing money. Do banks still change money?Whoever told you that should be sacked. As long as you can present your international passport(with valid visa) and a confirmed flight ticket they are suppose to sell to you. I took my international passport and a copy of the printout of my e-ticket to the various banks I listed above and they honored it. Most if not all banks sell foreign currencies for BTA/PTA. That I am 100% sure. |
Guzye: Please I am having a challenge paying online for my application with the diamond bank visa card, is anyone experiencing this challenge tooPlease make sure you are using the new diamondbank green visa card. The old one might not work. |
guardian09: You could have booked directly @ airfrance website am sure it would have been cheaper I guess, as for the rate someone told me he got @280 to a pound earlier last week black market of course here in calabar. It was 15k higher on their website. I can guarantee you here now that wakanow has the best rate across board. I spoke to each and everyone of the airlines I listed above and compared their rates first hand with those listed on wakanow. The rates listed on their website CANNOT be matched by the airlines themselves. Infact, I was starting to wonder how they managed it but who am I to complain. @rate, 280 is way too high. I was offered 275 by one mallam around my zone and my bff told me she was offer 268 in Benin. Since the rate fluctuates on a daily basis let's wait and see what it will be tommorrow. |
.d fish n crayfish am sure wd hv been abt 6-8kg.
d guy der just looked at me n said I shd move ahead
.ds happens to me 80% of d time, der must be something about my face
.
