AfricanGod2:
Simple public declaration. Declare publicly what you declared to the CCB. Why do we have to wait for the CCB to verify anything?

buhari is a liar!
you know when you tell one lie,
you will have to tell another 1000 lies to cover it up.

if buhari were telling the truth,
he woul simply make public the one he submitted to CCB!
Now the dullard of daura is waiting for CCB to confirm the number of wives and houses buhari has!

nigeria will perish if you fools continue thinking like this.
if you can slash your salary to some arbitrary figure,
then you can raise it to any figure for your aggrandizement!

And you have no rights to slash the salaries of any legislators!
the salaries and allowances were parts and parcel of the contract to be a legislator of the federal republic!
slashing their salary now will be like shifting goalpost in the middle of a football game!
no! no! no!
if i be legislator,
you must pay me my full salary ooo.
you can slash you own if you want,
but me,

go to law school,
finish nysc,
then wrangle your way into the bench!
then if Diezani is docked before you,

Let this not be a prelude to slashing workers salaries. He can slash his own but should not go near the N18,000 minimum wage. Many Nigerians need employment and I believe reducing cost of governance at the executive, legislative and judicial levels will make more resources available for the good of the common man. Nigerians are in dire need of some comfort.

if the dullard from daura can slash his salary,
then he can increase his salary too!

Politics / Re: No N3.2bn Severance Pay For Jonathan, Others Till 2016 - PUNCH by bunmititi(f): 3:07am On Jun 05, 2015
Naijaland12:

Explaining the reason why the severance pay was not captured in this year’s budget, the official said as of last year when the 2015 budget was being prepared, the outcome of the April 2015 elections could not be ascertained.

He said since the outcome of the elections could not be predicted, there was no way the Budget Office could have determined the number of political office holders that would not be re-elected.

The official added, “You will recall that the 2015 budget was prepared sometime last year and during the budget preparation, the elections had not been held.

“So it would be wrong to include the severance package of political office holders in the budget because as of the time the budget was prepared, these people were still holding political offices.

“Secondly, including their severance package before the elections were conducted would mean that we were pre-empting the outcome of a political process.

“So what we do is to wait for the outcomes of elections and on the strength of this, we can know the number of people that have left office and those re-elected.

Sammy Darko reports from the petrol station
At least 150 people have died in a fire at a petrol station in Ghana's capital, Accra, the country's president says.
The fire on Wednesday night started as people in the city were trying to cope with two days of heavy rain, which has left many homeless and without power.
The flooding hampered rescue efforts and may have led to the fire, the BBC's Sammy Darko reports from Accra.
President John Dramani Mahama has announced three days of national mourning to begin on Monday.
It is thought that people were in the petrol station sheltering from the downpours when the fire broke out, our correspondent says.
President Mahama visited the burnt-out petrol station and described the deaths as "catastrophic" and "almost unprecedented".
He vowed to take tough measures to stop people building on waterways, which appeared to have been a factor in the disaster.
"I think that the time has come for us to remove houses out of water and the public should understand that it is necessary to save everybody else," he said.
Following an emergency meeting of cabinet and security chiefs on how to tackle flooding, the government says it will release £9m ($14m) to help flood victims.
Schools were closed across the capital and children asked to stay at home.

Bus conductor Yaw Aforve was sleeping in his vehicle which was parked at the petrol station when the fire started.
He said he jumped into the floodwaters and when he came up for air, the fire burnt his face.
"I was swept away by the water to the other side [of the road]," he added. "I saw so many people screaming and shouting."

The fire services say flooding contributed to the fire

The petrol station was totally destroyed by the fire
The flooding helped cause the fire, the Ghana fire service said.
The waters "caused the diesel and petrol to flow away from the gas station, and fire from a nearby house led to the explosion", spokesman Billy Anaglate said, the Associated Press news agency reports.

Two days of heavy rain has brought much of the city to its knees.
There are chaotic scenes with cars being carried away by the water and many roads blocked off.
Hundreds have been trapped in their offices and some have been forced to spend the night in their cars as traffic came to a standstill.
Parts of Accra have been left without power as electricity sub-stations have been damaged in the flooding, which is making the ongoing energy shortages even worse.

Vikkie14:
Even your figure is not right. Go and get your fact right. NA alone stands above 130k. And if you want to have a 500k strong army, you have to be a BIG spender on your Military like Egypt. Even NA is still contending with having BPVs for all its men/women. Nigeria doesn't spend on her military atall. During GEJ tenure, He borrowed $1bn to arm the military but Nigerian were shouting on what the Army wants to use it for.
If you want a robust Army, you must have a yearly budget of atleast $7bn allocated to them.
Go and ask how much billions of dollars Egypt is spending to keep its hardwares and over 500k soldiers in order, then you will understand what financing a big military portray.

NA has seven (?) divisions.
At full strength each division is ten thousand men
(Modern divisions have less men but use equipment to achieve even greater firepower)
