1) Lack of belief in the mercy of God. Remember God forgives all Sins. But when you think God cannot forgive what you have don, when you think all is lost and you are irredeemable, invariably you cant ask God for forgiveness thus not able to obtain mercy. That is a sin against the Holy Spirit and that is why it is unforgivable.

The Unforgiving nature of this sin is that the sinner has lost hope of getting mercy.
