morning everyone, aw was ur nyt and aw are our LO's Doin. pls I really need advice. my daughter of 6m+ had dis high temperature on fri- sat and I use paracetamol syrup 2.5mls each time she heats up. d temperature went down on Monday morning. to my surprise dese rashes jst came from nowhere starting from her face to her back, thighs, legs and belly. I've applied dusting ppwder , d rashes refused to leave oo. pls wat do I do? I'm tired of goin to d hospital all d time. then I've started using soybeans, groundnut and crayfish powder in her pap for two weeks nw, could it av caused it? a woman in my compound suggested amoxicilin she sed it could b measles or she is teething. pls I need help ooo. she is nt even having a high temperature BT d rashes r jst all over

Hello great mothers..... so last month I mistakenly unfollowed this wonderful group, I was wondering why I did nt get any updates on my followed topics..... its good to b back oooo.

so My daughter will be 6 months next week and I fought really hard to breastfeed her exclusively it was nt easy to tell ple hey dnt guve her dis, dont stick lollypops in her mouth.... ple can be funny sha. lollypop!!!!!

What's the best way to do it? wat do I need to buy, cereals, foods, wat type of milk, someone suggested peak123. I've started giving her water from d bottle BT she can't latch on d teat so I use spoon. I need ideas ooooo.

tanks mama she is still BT as nt as frequently as 3days ago. motherhood can b funny ooo. wen she was born I was scared she dint poo, now she is pooin I'm scared its too much. we will all eat d friluits of our labour over our children in Jesus' name. I took her for immunization yesterday wen I told d nurse, she recommended ors and zinc. I've bought it BT I av nt used it for her. since its frequency is coming down.

in that case, ors and zinc(10mg) would help. You give the ors after every loose stool.

when I experienced this with my baby, people said its a sign that he is teething. it stopped on its own the following day or 3rd sha, can't remember. I was not bothered cos I was on ebf without water. You don't have to worry, it will stop on its own ehn.

I think its much oh. Get ORS and be giving her frequently to ensure she's hydrated enough cos of what is leaving her body. I also feel you should visit her doctor if it gets worse. Hope this helps

it depends, is it well formed or loose? Are you on exclusive breastfeeding or mixed? If it is well formed then there is nothing to worry about especially if its exclusive breastfeeding.

About number 3, I remember when I thought this was a problem until my baby showed me part two. Now she wants to eat everything apart from her fingers or sterilized toys. Would be so good if she just ate her fingers cuz then I could wash her hands and let her go crazy, now she eats books, my purse, tries to eat my hair, other peoples hair, my phones, shoes, torch lights, bottles, cartons, these days i even give her my complimentary cards to eat cuz she's quiet when eating them and the paper doesn't dissolve easy, sometimes I just let her eat clothes cuz she starts a screaming feat when I take things away. Bad mum I know but peace of mind is priceless. She was an expert finger sucker in those days tho and added weight just fine.

1. Baby food - food that babies eat. Varies depending on age. Could be breast milk, formula, cereal, amala, fruits etc
Baby formula & milk are the same thing

2. Babies under 1 year have to have milk as their primary food. You can either exclusively breastfeed or supplement with formula or give only formula. Depends on you but sha provide milk

3. Me I don't have any experience with sucking babies so I'll leave this one for mamas wey sabi

2. are they necessary when u av finished Doin EBF and want to add other supplements.

3. we r 3 months old and DD sucks her fists, wrists sometimes 3fingers. at first I use to think she is hungry BT even after feeding her she still goes back to d hand suck. aw do I stop it coz I heard babies dat suck hands don't eat well so dey don't develop.

Infact I'm nt getting myself anymore. I'm opening my maut to breathe nw. I can't sleep cos dd won't sleep in her cot and she is kicking my belly too playfully. I just need three hours sleep. is dat too much to ask

oh oh @ shoemaker's gum...that's a major tool for my footwear jobs ooo.

sorry ma'am...you can try these tips for yourself

1.Drink Up
Get plenty of fluids .It helps break up your congestion, makes your throat moist, and keeps you from getting dehydrated.

2.Steam Up
You can loosen up your stuffy nose if you breathe in some steam. Cover up head over a bowl/ bucket of hot water( add some Robb) and breathe slowly through your nose but, be careful.

3. Stay Warm and Rested
It's especially important to get rest when you first come down with a cold or the
flu as this helps your body direct its energy to fighting off your infection.
Stay warm if necessary.

4.Gargle With Warm Salt Water
It moistens your sore or scratchy throat and brings temporary relief. You can try half teaspoon of salt dissolved in a cup of warm water four times a day.

5. Drink Hot Liquids
They relieve your congestion and soothe the inflamed lining of your nose and throat.

You can also make noodles and drink up the 'noodles soup'( I barely use the seasoning powder but add some ginger, lil Cameroon pepper and carrots if you have available.


Honey and ginger too is a perfect choice but you can't take honey if you are still breastfeeding because of your baby.

For your baby, steam inhalation too would work but you have to be extraaaa careful because she might not stay still. I would recommend getting some part of towel in hot water with mentholatum in it.

Squeeze out and place close to her so she can inhale .

Breathing moist air helps loosen the mucus in the nose.

Or

Give your child a warm bath in a steamy bathroom.
Let a hot shower run for a few minutes before getting the tub ready.

Let her play in the bath as long as she likes (supervised though)

If it's not a convenient time for a bath, simply turn on the hot water in the tub or shower, close the bathroom door, block any gap under the door with a towel, and sit in the steamy room with your child for about 15 minutes.

I tot I was d only one. after delivery of my dd none if my shoes fit again only d flats. all high heels and halfshies are oversized. I think my current size nw will be 42. its so annoying
