PoliticsRe: Constituents Move To Recall Farouk Lawan by BusHouse(m): 11:15am On Jun 18, 2012
Beaf: It is quite clear that some NLers are stark raving mad. embarassed
Anyways, make I face topic jare!

I don't think finding the money should stop the man from being recalled. In fact, at least 80% of the members across all parties need to be recalled.

By the dictate of the constitution, those people are meant to represent the people at the grassroots. But how many of us can point to a rep that represents the interests of our town or village? How many of us can point to a rep we can visit and discuss local issues with, in the hope that they will be our voice at the national level?

We need to change the way things are done in this country and that can only be done by energising the grassroots.
How do you energise the grassroot when most MP rigged their way through elections by way of endorsement by party leaders & god-fatherism. Who among our so called representatives truelly won his/her elections? They were imposed on the people. Even if you bring in new sets of legislators, that cankerworm call corruptiom will always flow in them. Our laws should be strengthened so that whoever is indicted for act of corruption should be tried, if found guilty (in nigeria court?) jailed or killed, otherwise, (your guess is as good as mine). May God save nigeria.
PoliticsRe: The Bribe Femi Otedola Gave Me Has Been Stolen - Hon. Farouk Lawal by BusHouse(m): 12:49am On Jun 18, 2012
nuclearboy: Sympathy?? I beg you, bro, to re-read! He is a thief - confirmed! However, the noise is too much! Why over-heat the polity if there's nothing else?

The man wants a court process even when we all believe he is guilty! Why not then take him to court if there is nothing funny hidden? What are they afraid of that makes them insist on keeping this issue in the public arena rather than a normal court set up for such purposes of examining evidence?

Till the right thing is done, we cannot judge based on hearsay
Which court are you referring to, is it Salami's court or Ibori's court. * keeping my gun underneath my bed*

PoliticsRe: Pictures Of Bombings In Zaria And Kaduna by BusHouse(m): 12:09am On Jun 18, 2012
bayooooooo: This indeed terrible and sad.

It's becoming more or less a weekly occurrence in Nigeria. Before we know it, we start losing territories to these guys and the guerrilla warfare will commence. No nation with home grown Islamic insurgencies has fully recovered from it.

Though the buck stops at his desk as Commander in Chief there is little he can do at the moment to prevent someone from blowing off himself. We do not have intelligence apparatus to fight this battle. You can't threaten someone who wants to commit suicide with death. To that extent the military solution is greatly limited. The key thing is prevention and that will require the cooperation of citizens, the superb training of police and monumental resources and years to come by.

We need to run a counter narrative of their ideology. We need to get the people that matter in Islam in the North to not only condemn but give a counter narrative of what they consider the true position of Islam on peace and peaceful co-existence with peoples of other faiths. This need to be aired constantly and made to puncture their ability to use the religion as element to recruit. The current abracadabra of negotiating with Boko Haram will not lead us anyway meaningful. What are we negotiating exactly? It becomes worrisome that Datti Ahmed of this world who should be vociferous in condemning BH activities is advocating dialogue. Sad.

Such counter narrative must be met with appropriate military, economic and political strategy. The communities within the epicenter of this current violence must be made to have more faith in FG than BH. That's why indiscriminate arrest of innocent citizens must stop. Unwarranted killings by the military of innocent after each suicide bombing be stopped. We need to re-brand the police so we can have faith in them to the extent that citizens can volunteer valuable information without fear of retribution. In short, you need a comprehensive strategy to defeat this kind of insurgency with diverse strands of excuse for its operation-politics, poverty, religion etc. No president, including GEJ can legislate a fix all solution into existence overnight. It will take years, money and consistent right decisions to defeat Boko Haram. I will NEVER blame GEJ for this. it's beyond him.
U try, this is d gospel according to saint bayoooooo.

zebudaya: You don't use existing roads, you have to build you own race track. Then spread the word all those young kids with souped up cars would come race. the problem is if you put so much money into upgrading your cars armed robbers would steal it from you. All we need is security. You don't really need insurance if they sign a waiver. If you race, you die, you are on your own.

Car TalkRe: Honda End Of Discussion Vs Camry Big For Nothing ; Which Is Better by BusHouse(m): 9:56am On Jun 17, 2012
Icecold Don: For car gurus, I am about to pick to my first ride and as thrilled as I am,I have been doing research n I have fallen in luv wit Honda's EOD,but friends have been advising against it saying they always give particular problems eg Compressor,Gearbox etc n that Camry Big for Nothing is not only better n stronger wit none of the aforementioned factory defects but that it is also way cheaper to maintain in 9ja.
Please help cos I am really confused n I don't want to make a mistake but I reeellllyyy luv that Honda.!!!!
You have answered the question yourself. If something is big for nothing then dont go near it. I will advise you go for Honda, av used it & i have no issue with it. The bottom line is regular maintainance & it will serve you well.

PoliticsRe: $3M Bribery: Otedola Submits Evidence To Police by BusHouse(m): 10:36am On Jun 13, 2012
edicolove: This whole issue is very simple. If Lawan is innocent and was actually trying to get evidence to nail Otedola, he should have at least 2 things. 1. A video or at least audio of the bribe event showing he was actually setting Otedola up and 2. The dollar notes should be completely intact and unspent. If he doesn't have these 2 things, he is a liar and a criminal. It is that simple. If he has spent 1 dollar out of the money, it means he is a liar and a thief.
Are marked dollar bills spendable? Nawao!

RomanceRe: K-solo Opens Up On Assault, Thievery Allegations By Wife, Kikelomo by BusHouse(m): 12:05pm On Jun 11, 2012
ogaemma: We cannot have a fair judgement with only her own side of the story, though I felt for her.But I think there where so many exageration in her own version of the story. How could K solo contribute only 15,000 naira for his wedding? We are talking of the record producer of Timaya. K solo could not be as poor as she is stressing it. I admire K solo's response, he did not throw blame at all neither was he judgemental. He pleads for the public including nairalanders to respect his family privacy in this trying moment. That shows maturity.
Forget his been a renown producer, what if he doesent have plans for his future or he is on drug. Havent you heard of people squandering away their wealth on frivolous things. Producer my foot, it takes the grace of God to manage wealth and fame.

RomanceRe: K-solo Opens Up On Assault, Thievery Allegations By Wife, Kikelomo by BusHouse(m): 2:31pm On Jun 08, 2012
r231: Following alleged physical assault levelled against top Nigerian music producer, Solomon Oyeniyi popularly known as K-Solo by his wife, Kikelomo, the producer cum singer has released a statement on the boiling issues.

In the statement exclusively sent to Nigeriafilms.com by one of his media representatives, K-Solo cleared the air on allegation of wife battery, thievery, and assault by his estranged wife.

"Over the past three days, I have been inundated with phone calls, text messages and emails from fans, friends, family members and well wishers from all over Nigeria and abroad over allegations of wife battery, assault and thievery by my wife, Mrs. Kikelomo Oyeniyi, as contained in an interview she granted City People Magazine.

I make bold to say that as much as no union is without its own trials and tribulations, I have never laid hands on my wife and will never because have got sisters and a mother.

I am a hardworking young man that has been in the music industry for over a decade and do not need any woman’s wealth to live. This is our own trying time and we would surmount it one way or the other.

Mistakes have been made and they would be redressed, God willing. Let no man be the judge of another man’s deeds or misdeeds, let God and law take their courses.

I hereby implore everybody to please appreciate and understand that this is a very difficult moment for me and my immediate family and would not wish to comment on this issue any further. God help us all."

K-Solo and Kike married in November 2011 after dating each other for some months. He is known for producing top stars like Timaya, 2Shotz and many others.

Car TalkRe: How Reliable Are Hyundai Vehicles? by BusHouse(m): 12:34am On Jun 08, 2012
jaw jaw: I have driven one for almost 4 years (Elantra 2008, bought brand new) and have been across the country with it. Driven it to Abuja, Kaduna, Lagos, Benin, Owerri, Ibadan and also across the Nigerian border (at least more than 2 times each). I have done about 70,000km with it and can reliably say its a good car. You treat it right by servicing it as at when due and making the necessary part repairs and it will reciprocate by taking you wherever you want to go.

Compared to the already established Japanese models that are more expensive, Hyundai is worth the money you pay for it.

Hyundai cars are at the same stage the Japanese cars were in Nigeria in the late 70s and early 80s. Nigerians looked at the Japanese cars then with skeptism because the Peugeots, Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen were the popular brands. But with time Nigerians have come to have faith in them. That is the same thing I expect to happen to Hyundai and Kia cars in Nigeria in the near future.

For your additional info, Hyundai and Kia are both owned by the same parent company in South Korea. They have the same engine and chasis but different body and interior designs. Hyundai is modelled to compete with Toyota while Kia is modelled to compete with Honda. They have certainly started to gain grounds on Toyota and Honda around the world. In Nigeria 2 different companies hold the dealership franchise. Stallion motors sells Hyundai while Dana motors sells Kia.
My God DANA again? we are in trouble.
