FamilyRe: Her Husband Lied About His Job by BusHouse(m): 12:04am On Jun 02, 2012
DailyNews: Lolz...honestly the girl should take all the blame for her misery now...since the ladies in Nigeria have continually refused to listen to the so many testimonies, cries & call made by guys towards helping them reform to more wiser & virtuous ladies. Recently since April, I had been assigned a car where I work, and I had been using the car, also taking it to church, which happens to be the most place I visit aside my work. You cannot believe the surprises I had been encountering, thank God I am disciplined & reserved when it comes to such issues. I am not just going to say everything here shaa, but at least we all understand what I am trying to say- our nation has lost it entirely when it comes to good moral, we now attach so much value to immaterial things than true identity & personality/potential in a person, especially our today ladies. Becos of the pressure, couple with the issue of hold up & bad road in where I stay, I decided not to be taking the car home anymore, so I now use it for office assignments & park it in the office so I don't end up attracting some gold-digging folks who may end up putting me in a tight corner. Honestly, when guys tell you people that our ladies of today are too materialistic, believe them & if ur a lady, just take it as a lesson to change ur lifestyle- I know its hard, but through prayers & self-control u can achieve it. Stop fighting people that advice u on how to be a virtuous lady, just take the wise ones & discard the unwanted ones instead of arguing. But then, I am not saying girls should date or marry broke guys like some may interpret now, NOPE pls...but don't just allow ur heart & self to be inclined towards material gains, favor & gifts from the opposite gender; instead look for personality, ability, potential, character, attitude, aspiration, ambition, dream, goals, vision, etc...instead of the instant gains u would get. When making ur choice of partner, whether he is rich, poor, average or whatever, consider his dreams, his potential, his personality, he person & other reasonable things that define a man instead of just what u see around him at the moment- be it money, job, post, etc. If all Nigerian ladies married & single are to come here to testify, u ladies reading this will be shocked; becos most ladies have been deceived by what they saw, wealth, jobs, cars, etc, & even some that did fell for a man cos those stuffs & luckily married the person that has all that will still tell u sth to learn from. Finally as I always tell people here, with the advent of social network sites & forums like this, no girl or guy ought to make mistakes in choosing either a lover or a life partner becos so many informative & educating true life stories have been shared to teach people one or two things. Guys pls desist from scams, if ur not capable of handling a relationship or marriage y go into one? must u date? must u marry? must u have a girlfriend in life? NOPE!
Prof, u try 4 d sermon but dos babe no go hear. They are 2 materialistic.

TravelRe: Before Leaving Nigeria: Things You Must Know by BusHouse(m): 10:56pm On Jun 01, 2012
eduson33: Fellow Nigerians, I hail you!

This just ran across my mind. Abeg, anybody that has plans of leaving Nigeria and wishes not to roast and die hustling abroad, you have to know this:

1. Never give your passport to anyone even if the person is your mum. Don't agree. In fact, swallow it.
2. Don't give even your brother money to help you get stay or resident permit.
3. Acquire some skills or educational qualifications before leaving Nigeria.
4. Anyting you wanna do, think over it for four to five days and seek advice from 10 persons before you do it.
5. Don't send money to your brother or sister to invest for you here in Nigeria.
6. Don't start solving family problems immediately you get there. Even if your uncle dies, don't return if you know you're not yet standing firm.
7. Most important: Never forget GOD if you really want to make it.

Well Done!
Nawao, wat if na my mama or sista or broda sponsor me go abroad nko? If i bust den case u no tink say den fit remote peson com bak 2 naija? Eno easy as u say am o, but d advis no bad sha.
Music/RadioRe: Which Dee Jay Pro Player Is The Best by BusHouse(op): 4:49pm On Jun 01, 2012
litaninja: hi BusHouse: Regarding the CD decks, if you say you want something world class and the high pricing is not a deterrent, then the "de-facto" standard players are the high end Pioneer CDJ decks i.e. CDJ 850, 1000, the new 900 & 2000. They are quite durable have their functions within a moderate range and tend to do those functions extremely well. Prices typicall go from $999 and above for these players and the CDJ 2000s can cost as high as $1,999. yea, approx $2,000 per unit. Funny thing about dj Decks is that they really end up as what you make of them and how you use them. I for one usually root for the under-dogs wherever I am and I tend to be quite biased to Denon Decks, from DN S1200, S3700, S5000 & the new SC3900 the Denon decks are all round performers, the support many formats and storage media with MIDI native support for major software like VDJ and Scratch Live. If you want the feel of vinyl then you definitly should go for these. Typical price range for these Denons are $600 - $800 , a bit cheaper than the so-called industry standards and pack a bang for your bucks. On the flip side though the Pioneers are wildly more popular, if you would like to feel right at home in most clubs worldwide, I mean as far as the Artic circle, then pioneers, but you want to be slightly different than every other fan-boy, then do the Denons.
Gemini also has a new product the CDJ700 thats supposed to be a cross between the Pioneer CDJ 900 in size and pricing and the Denons in terms of functionality for about $600. You can tke a look at their website or reviews for more info. I'm leaning towards these as replacements for my current setup as well!
Your contribution has been quite helpful, i will have to go for denon because its withen my budget. Tanx.

EducationRe: Why Does IBB Have A University Named After Him? by BusHouse(m): 3:02pm On Jun 01, 2012
Jakumo: Former Nigerian military dictator Ibrahim Babangida did recieve numerous honorary academic accolades during his 8-year tenure in power, but the suffixes most frequently appended to Babangida's name are "FSS" , which stands for "Phucking Sly Sumbitch" and of course "MNI", which stands for Masterminded Nigeria's ILLS"

The aforementioned "academic" laurels ENTITLE the Evil Genius Babangida to lend his esteemed name to any institution of higher learning that approaches him for the privilege. I suggest that the Oluwole Academy of Forgery Systems Technology could be re-named the "Evil Genius School of Hard Knocks", with immediate effect and alacrity.
Another name for IBB is International Born Bastard.
PoliticsRe: Was Funmilayo Ransome Kuti The First Woman To Drive A Car? by BusHouse(m): 8:06pm On May 31, 2012
afam4eva: I think one of the reasons why Fumilayo Kuti is credited with this title is because she was in the public eye at that time. I'm not sure though.
To the best of my knowledge, She is not the first to drive a car in nigeria but the first to be liecenced as a driver, so that makes her the first driver legally, Others before her were driving illegaly.

Agreed that we have some very bad musician who sing trash & needs to vacate the music scene in naija, we shld not forget to give kudos & also encourage some of them that are trying, Most critics on this forum are those who see nothing good in naija artist, most, if not all of the criticts are slaves to european/american music. If a list of naija artists that deserve to the stay on the scene are requested for on this forum, these same condemed artists will still make such list, Let's b fair in our assesment.

i didnt say one should not go online. i only said it is a wide topic. and i will address it. one thing at a time. i read your post.
its theory. i am talking practicals, direct result. i like the part of getting into contests,
the rest does not directly make ur song known.

the internet is important. dont get me wrong.
many popular nigerian artists dont have websites.
even if they do, how many times have u visited.

u cant use yankee ideas straight and expect it to work here. u have to customize.

i helped make the popularity plan for cure my craze by frank d'nero. i am sure u know the song. there was no cash for a video at the time so we had to think.

i am pushing a few songs now.

i will adress the web issue later when i talk about branding yourself.

i am trying to give people on a slim budget ideas that will work immediately. i believe in street knowledge.

i wish we cud both hav a competeion. two brand new tracks. first to make his own popular. then u'll see what i am talking about.
Good post, very educative & intering, keep it up.

Gaggi: Her Husband Deceived Her:

My little cousin introduced her fiance to us (the Family) in Nov last yr and got married dis Jan. The guy said he works for an oil company at PH. My cousin is a PG student and lives in a one bedroom apartment. The plan was that she would finish her masters in April and relocate to PH to live with her hubby.
However, her husband has been staying with her at her 1 bedroom apartment since after d marriage since he said he was on leave and wanted to be close to his wife.
I just discovered that he was never working at PH but was putting up with a friend who works in an oil company. The guy is actually jobless. Now my cousin is pregnant and just discovered that her husband is jobless. They have now come begging on their knees and asking for a loan to start a business for the husband.
Her father is so pissed off that he says he never wants to set eyes on d husband. I feel insulted for being deceived. Do i raise mny for them? I dnt think d man is responsible and may not pay back. I' m confused and upset. What do y'all think?
Mugu fall guy man chop. Am sure they both met on nairaland.

souleymon: President Bingu wa Mutharika of Malawi has died, doctors and cabinet ministers have told the BBC, but this has not been officially announced.

One of the doctors who treated Mr Mutharika, 78, said the president was "clinically dead" on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest.

State media has only reported that he has been flown to South Africa for medical treatment.

If confirmed, his death would spark a constitutional crisis, analysts say.

According to the constitution, the vice-president takes over if the head of state is incapacitated or dies in office.

But Vice-President Joyce Banda and Mr Mutharika fell out after a row over the succession in 2010, and she was expelled from the ruling Democratic People's Party (DPP).

Mr Mutharika's brother, Foreign Minister Peter Mutharika, was chosen instead of Ms Banda to be the DPP's presidential candidate in the 2014 elections.

Why all this analysis that we already know. The question is, will you attend the synagogue this sunday based on tb joshua's prediction? simple.

Living Faith Church was originaly founded by a woman called Magaret Ohiani in kaduna in the 80s or so. it was during one of her trips to germany that she asked Oyeyipo now a bishop to hold brief before she comes back, wen she eventually came back she was not allowed to get close to the church not to talk of claiming back the leadership. To forstall any crisis situation Bishop Oyedepo hurried moved the church to lagos. The rest is now history. The question now is was he really called by God? otherwise the welfare of the less previlegde members of his church should be his concern.
