I think she is bigger than this now... Funke please ooooo.... what's the name of your husband? |
usefaith:That is a guess work. You really can't tell what trigger the interviewer to contact or employ you. I went for an interview where I argued with them that I was under scored. Instead of 18, I was given 15. I knew because we were given our answer sheet back. They said I was wrong I told them I know my mathematics very well that the answer can't be wrong. The interviewers were just looking at me with my level of confidence about it. My other colleague were asking me to stop that I might loss the job with my behavior. I didn't mind them but continue to fight till I prove myself correct. When I got home, I was regretting my actions. In my heart, " I don fuckup. Why I nor just keep shut". 5days later I got a call to resume without passing the other stages. I can't really tell what action gave me the job. Most time you can't really say what make the interviewer consider you fit for the job. |
MyZoto:No, it shows you are desperate. You can suggest that in abroad not Nigeria. |
Information abounds regarding what you should say in an interview. But it can be just as important to realize what not to say. It is also imperative to note that what you say can be communicated through both your words and actions. 1. You arrive late to the interview. What it means: "I really don't care about getting this position." Arrive a healthy 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to give you time to collect your thoughts, review your notes and make a good first impression. 2. You're rude to the receptionist. What it means: "I'm difficult to get along with." Receptionists are the gate keepers and it's their job to be the eyes and ears of the company. Besides, if hired, you may need their cooperation one day. 3. You answer questions with trite or cliché responses. What it means: "I'm just one of the crowd." Telling the interviewer you are a perfectionist and expect too much of yourself is sure to elicit a yawn. Prepare potential responses ahead of time to avoid relying on the usuals. 4 You don't ask questions What it means: "I'm not that interested in your company." The interview should be a two-way conversation "to determine if you are the right fit for the company, and if the company is the right fit for you. Use the interview to gather as much information about your potential new position as possible. let the interviewer do more of the questions and you comprehend to give excellent answers. Still ask key questions during the process. 5. You answer the standard "Tell us about yourself," with "What would you like to know?" What it means: "I have nothing special to offer this company." This is your opportunity to steer the conversation into areas where you truly shine. Don't waste this chance by appearing to lack any outstanding qualities you want to share. And please don't start with where you were born. Focus on your career unless your birthplace is relevant to the job. 6. You use inappropriate language. What it means: "I'm unprofessional and if it shows in the short span of an interview, imagine what I'll be like in the office." Even if they're only mild and somewhat acceptable words, there still is no place for them in the interview. 7. You trash-talk your former boss. What it means: "I have no discretion; I'll blab any inside information." "If you left your prior job on poor terms, you need to put this relationship in a positive light for the interview. "Even if your boss was to blame." You never want to bring negativity or antagonistic emotions into the interview. Keep it positive and upbeat. 8. You ask the interviewer not to contact your former employer. What it means: "I have something to hide." Even if you do not get along with your boss, you can always name someone else in the organization as a reference. 9. You exaggerate your accomplishments or credentials. What it means: "I'm not good enough on my own merits, so I need to lie to make myself look good." A skilled interviewer can easily identify fabrications in your background or experience. State your qualifications with confidence. You don't have to be Superman to get hired; you just have to be right for the job. 10. You don't thank the interviewer. What it means: "I have no manners." Forgetting to thank your interviewers for their time can take the luster from even the most stellar interviewee. Godluck in your Job hunting. |
Poverty is a looser... Wealth is a winner... I must make this money by God's Grace... |
mrking3:You see how foolish you are? When am putting sense into your brainless skull, you are saying trash. You better grow up... |
xjet:As a guy your favorite drink is laca cera abi? Laca cera that is combination of sugar + water + favour(sweeten). You better think twice because you are destroying your reproductive system. If you have a girlfriend, you will understand more... The drink is a morale killer for men. |
The only work that is present in Ilorin is civil servant jobs... Ilorin is a dry city and kwara is a desert land... Talking from experience... |
AMZYMAYO:You are a patriotic Nigerian. May God replenished your time & effort. |
Bravo Op. This is a complete vitality pack. Your invaluable contribution will go a long way to enlighten and educate so many about packaging themselves for that interview. The thread is rich I must confess. Keep the good work. This should be on front page Seun, lalasticlala |
Supported. The problem is that our NCC is just corrupt. They won't fight for issues like this, but things that will enrich their pocket. Networks providers can't do this mess in other country the way they behave in Nigeria. In Nigeria, call rate is very expensive, data is very expensive and also data doesn't last long, poor network everywhere. Something need to be done urgently. They should convert the money for celebrity advertisement to better and improve their network. NCC don't be a coward. It is time to act. |
NYSC is overhyped. The program is a total waste of one year. it should be re-structured to a skills acquisition or entrepreneurship scheme or should be scraped. NYSC also contribute to the high rate of unemployment among graduates. It's a one year of little or no impact on the lives of most graduates. The people benefiting from the NYSC are the politicians and contractions not the graduate. They keep feeding on the pressure and sweat of corp members. Only about 10 to 15% of corp members benefit from the scheme. Sometimes the scheme declined your thinking faculty and change your kind of lifestyle. I can boldly tell you that 70% of corps members are just enduring the unproductive nature of the scheme. After the first 3month, the remaining months becomes almost a waste of time. Thank God I never stay permanently in that remote village in kwara state. My service would have been useless and unproductive. All what I achieve during my service year was not in the region or location I served. I was a mobile corper and it really helped me. In summary: NYSC is a waste of one year. It should be re-structured to a skill or entrepreneurship program or be scrapped. The money invested in the scheme is just too much not to produce tangible results. |
You might be correct but not in all cases. I am a classical example of the scenario. I worked with an organization where I became a key staff even as a new employee. The other staff were complaining about my influence on the manager. I was given preferential treatment as am the only staff that resume by 8am against the normal 7:25 deadline. The work was kind of stressful for me based on the distance from my place. I complained to the manager and he said taxes won't be deducted from my salary again. I felt so honored. The other staff do say it secretly that am using charms but there was nothing of such. After 8months in the place, I complained about the effect of the overburden of the work no me. He promised to give me feed back after discussing with the Boss. I didn't get any reply after two weeks, I therefore tender my resignation letter. It was like a shock to the manager. He said my son, you can't just go like that, the firm has plans for you. I have discussed your issues to the boss and he promised to effect changes from the following month. I didn't accept what he said. I insisted on the resignation. He later called the boss of the firm. That was the first time I saw the owner of the firm. We had a private discussion and asked how much increment I wanted from him. I told him 25% because the burden was too much. He said as a new staff, the board will not approve it. They can only make an increment of 15%. I later tendered my resignation to the HR. When they saw my seriousness toward it. The boss decided to pay the other 10percent from his personal purse. I felt like a star in the firm that day. The HR Manger told me no one has moved the boss like you. You must be special. After 1yr and 6months. I left for some key reasons. Don't reason it, the money wasn't that big. If a firm or company knows your worth, they will never want to loss you. You will never know how the company value your worth till you give them a threat via resignation. Don't do it if you don't have plan B ooo. I had plan B when I issued my resignation. I also know my worth as well. |

Everyday comes with new methodology. Tell me about youself? An Oil firm I am butanep from delta state, studied Geology from University Of Benin, an aspiring geophysicist and also an ICT expert in the area of data base management. I am a dynamic fellow because my discipline has exposed me to different areas of life and career. I am a certified safety officers because safety comes first before any work is done effectively. I have a basic idea in the application of geological softwares like petrel & powerlog. I had the opportunity to use them during my industrial training @NNPC. I was able to generate a 3D seismic model on the olumu well of Niger delta basin and also generate a correlation panel to other wells in the basin. I did a paper presentation of the fault history of the Niger delta basin and was given a credit for the work. I have plans to publish the work very soon. I am one fellow eager to learn because continuous learning is the key to a successful career. I want to keep developing myself until my impact is felt in the petroleum industry and the Nigeria economy. I am an indispensable tool which any company or organization will love to hire. |

Nice story... Continue jare. |
They should keep dreaming... What is corpers story making frongpage today? NYSC is just overhyped. Turn it to a full scale skill acquisition programme and stop posting them indiscriminately to school.. The president of 2050 will make that amount come to pass |
I weap for Warri and cry for my own state. The way Uduagha destroyed the state. If Ibori went to jail, I think Uguagha should spend the rest of his life in jail with his family members. They destroyed delta to to a large extent. Just imagine the round about where shophrite is located. That place is an eyesore. The kind of erosion in that place is just what I couldn't understand. The state is very dirty as fit no governor was in that state for the past 8yrs. I wonder where the oil money is going to? Delta state deserve a better leader |

What are they even saying? Polytechnics and Universities can't be the same and will never be the same. You can't compare the class of lectures in universities and lecturers. How many prof do you have in the polytechnic? Very few! The minimum degree to lecture in the university is MSC but in polytechnic is Bsc. I will boldly tell you that 60% of student in polytechnics are those that couldn't meet the high standard of universities or couldn't pass university exams or cut-off. So why are you complaining? You used 160 to gained admission and someone used 250 to gained admission, you want them to be on the same standard. Hey No. If you want Bsc, study very well to gained admission into the university. The nature and volume of work done by both is very different. University tend to cover a wide area than polytechnics. Visit some of the polytechnics, you will be surprised what they study to write exams. They study one pamphlets called textbooks written by one Mr Ogudedu of less than 100pages and 8 chapters for a course when university student study materials and text books written and edited my three to four prof. With 23chapters and almost 600pages. There is a big gully between these two institution, so they can have the same certification. Polytechnics was designed for a particular purpose, same as the universities. If you want Bsc go for universities and if you are a lover of practical knowledge, go for polytechnics. |
castro316:Please educate me on the differences... From my understanding about knowledge & wisdom. One is what you derived from earthy materials such as books and the other which is wisdom is divine. I.e infused into a man's life by God. Those with wisdom in the bible were never poor or below average. King Solomon is a key example of a man with wisdom. He was the richest and most influential man during his time. The wise men that went to see Jesus went with Gold, frankincense & myrrh. You should know how expensive these stones were during the early days. It shows they were living very fine. Don't come here to contradict things. Your knowledge and wisdom is measure on the achievements you have made through it. The bottom line is to marry a woman you can control both financially and emotionally. No matter your wisdom, money is the key language that speak. If you can't control a woman, then you become her remote control. Ask your dad if he is still alive. |
