Madagascar:What do you mean by waec status? |
I have never supported lamination of certificates. Thank God I didn't laminate my waec certificate when I collected it from school, I would ve not graduated from school. Waec altered my result online after 5years. I got to know about it during my final year clearance. My clearance officer rejected my result that it has been tempered online. I was directed to the head office in lagos to complain and when I got there I told them that the result on my certificate is now different from the one displaying online. The HOD told me to bring my raw certificate. He said waec doesn't accept laminated certificate. Thank God I didn't laminate my certificate. They later confirmed the authenticity of the certificate and a green light icon on the machine confirm the certificate is genuine. The man told me, you are very lucky your certificate wasn't laminated. That is how my result was validated online. Every since then, I don't even allow my younger ones to laminate their certificate. |
coollabman:Hahahahah... So you missed the head-count too? I will call my person from the state secretariat. Nigeria is who you know... |
coollabman:Bros I am not afraid... I know what to do. |
I doubt if that query is directly from NYSC because the grammar used is incorrect. Assuming the query is true; What is even wrong with the so called NYSC DG. How many of his children is serving in a village without light or network or water? So they expect us to be in a village when we have nothing to do wasting our precious time to do something that will better our future. It is high time corps members start to cry out through various means on the hardship we are subjected to all in the name of NYSC and the peanut of 19,600. The head count is nothing but a deliberate means to witch-hunt corps members. They want to use the opportunity to divert the merger 19,600 paid to corp members to their personal pocket. Our leaders are really greedy! We didnt issue them query or complain when we are paid on the 11 or 12th of every month when FG released such money by 27th. We didn't complain when we were given watery food in the camp. We didn't complain when they posted us to places with security challenges. NYSC should have a rethink. The fact we are serving never make us handicap or voiceless. NYSC must stop witch-hunting corps members. We can't depend on 19,800 alone. We have pressing needs, younger ones looking up to us, girlfriends yelling for our attention both emotionally and financially, dreams of getting our dream job. We can't just sit in one remote village while our brain waste away. The Nigeria constitution mandated freedom of movement. So why is NYSC trying to cage the lives of vibrant youth. So they mean we should be stagnant for one full year? Efia no wonder some corps members start from square 1 after service. NYSC is turning into another corrupt agency. Why will the head count be done on saturday and sunday. Those days are not working day. What if I decide to travel for the weekend for a burial or weeding ceremony? So they mean we can't attend occasions? Please we are social people and meeting people is one of our hobby. NYSC should have a rethink for whatever consequences the head-count will cause. It will pass a wrong message to the public which will raise eyebrows of the corruption in NYSC. It will ridicule the credibility of the scheme. Buhari please include NYSC in your probe list. |
Mznaett:Make sense... |
Mznaett:olden days pal koor You better change that statement... Am good n u? |

Richie0974:Guy stop spanning your message on every thread. Why can't you grow up and be sensible. If your birthday is today, them celebrate it. Don't come here to disturb us with your childish attitude. Who your birthday help? |
Richie0974:please names the private school? The allowances from public school alone can't be compared with the peanut private schools offers... |
Flexing his time while it last... One thing I don't know our celebrity for is Investment. Most of them don't really invest their money. Keep on... we know celebrity and show-off |
Today is ladies this & tomorrow ladies that... Relationship is not by force. If she is not into you or not your kind of lady, you simply walk out and look for your kind and someone that will accept you. Sometimes, the way guyz force themselves into a lady makes the ladies use them like a toy. The lady you called a gold digger is willingly giving another guy both cash and body. It means there is something you don't have that she admires. Guyz should learn how to read signs of acceptance or rejection from ladies. Some guyz act like babies before a woman. Men should always be in control. |
Small and low self esteem boys now on nairaland. You re a disappointment to manhood... |
coollabman:Something like that but me nor shake... |
NYSC with their wahala... Nothing dae happen... DG should fight the corruption among NYSC officials before facing corpers. |
bxcode:You must be a big fool... |
Nice point. Just came to observe... |
justified19:Life is a game of chance. School is where we prove our mental ability but life is a world we prove all we have(mental, social, logic). Life and school are two different ball games. You are successful in school never guarantee you a successful life. |
justified19:You get the point. One should learn to prove his/herself when given the opportunity. That doesn't mean 2.2 or third class students are anyway lesser. Life is not really about grades but grace. |
justified19:As far there is a 2.1. |
Filling station has been duping Nigerians since time Immemorial... They will state #50 on their bill board for price of kerosine and sell the product for #180. They will also state #87 for price of fuel and their pump price will be #100. No wonder all the rich due is opening filling station of recent, because it's just a cool and smart way to fraud innocent Nigerians. Just imagine, there are up to 10 filling stations in my road. What are they even selling? Just there to fraud Nigerians. DPR must wake up to their responsibility and penalized offenders for this evil and devilish act. The 100k penalty fine is just too small for a filling station. That is nothing to them. Imagine asking someone that stole millions to pay 100k. Say No to corruption. |
benedima1990:The difference is very wide... |
Ramos16:It is better you understand the kind and nature of your country as a student. The country concentrate more on paper qualification before mental qualification. The firs class and 2.1 student depend more on their results because some invested so much time in their studies while in school to make sure they graduate with good grades. They understand the economy and don't want stories that touches the heart latter tomorrow. So you don't expect someone that has put in extra efforts on his studies to just throw the result away after school. They need to be rewarded for their hard work while in school. Am not generalizing but most third class graduate might just be product of unfavorable circumstances. Either they were not serious while in school or were not hard working or they lost it somewhere. Most of them learn from their reckless undergraduate life style that didn't pay them in school and start buckling up to meet the demands of the market. Some start cultivating the hard work syndrome they never exhibited while in school. Most of them don't put interest on their results because they know, it might take them nowhere, so the aftermath effort and zeal toward their career might later give them opportunity to unveil what they have and eventually open doors for them. Be it first class, 2.1 or 2.2 or third class. Life is a matter of chance and grace. Most importantly is to put in your best to acquire the good grades if you can... School is a chance to prove your mental ability and life is a chance to prove all what you have... |

justified19:What do you mean? As far there are persons graduating with first class or 2.1 from that department . 2.2 or third class is not a first class in disguise anywhere. It is what circumstances and your personal effort derived for you. I know 2.2 is not really easy but as far people graduated with 2.1 from that dept or university, it means there is something you didn't do while in school which you must start doing after school. Most people do criticized the first class and good 2.1 while in school as being unsociable and a "jew". They use their time judiciously to make good grades in school. When they are studying, some are in the clubs and parties enjoying themselves. Everything in life is sacrifices. If you can pay the price, nature will reward you for it. Being a 2.2 or third class graduate never make you a lesser citizens or person. Just that it reduces your chances to really display what you have within. If one can be persistent and acquire the right skills with God's grace, everything will fall in place. The most important thing is to do your best while in school. |
berepiki:Don't worry, when the offers comes, you will know what to do. Have you done your NYSC? You are still in your imaginary world, when you come back to reality, you will know what to do. The fact you studied Gas Engineering and did IT in a refinery does not guarantee you a job in any of the company except you have the right link and matter of grace. Just pray for God's grace to get a good job. Don't channel your focus to the oil industry alone so you won't get disappointed when jobs from that sector is not coming forth. Goodluck... |
Why are they talking about subsidy? I thought Buhari said he don't know what subsidy means but they re saying something different now. The government don't have billions to pay subsidy but they have billions to pay house of assembly members, billions to acquire jets and cars the government don't need. If they have to remove subsidy, they should first cut down the salaries and allowances of the house of assembly, build refineries, industrialized the nation and provide a relatively stable power. The poor and average Nigerians should not always be at the receiving end. The small salary I received will now be channeled into purchase of fuel @ high cost. Our leaders are really greedy. If Buhari remover subsidy... I will lead the campaign to Aso rock straight for mass protest. |
Job hunt has really cause a serious problem in this country to the extent that job seekers now go extra mile just to get a job to meet their immediate needs. The picture below depict a job seeker applying for the post of the immediate late technical manager in a company. Lol The picture is funny but indirectly pass a key message about the high unemployment rate in the country. According to the saying; desperate situation requires desperate measures. This is a typical example. I can't just laugh alone... Nairalanders need to see this Cc :lalasticlala
