godoluwa: why nt? infact ma galfriend dat we gonna wed next month is well educated, well exposed nd richer than me. she has travelled to 5different countries more than a time. wealth, exposure, academics qualification does nt make a happy home but love nd understanding does Bros don't be blinded by love... Get it into your head that she will always act in control by the time you get married to her. You can't know a woman fully until she becomes you wife. Asked your dad, if he his still alive... Don't be blabbing here, just find a way and groomed yourself. Double your hustling potentials and never allow her to take your responsibility... Best of luck |

It's either the man is in control or the woman. You can't have two captain in a ship. If a man is not in control, he becomes a remote control... Don't talk like someone who can be manipulated by a woman. Women craved for men that can control them. Asked you girlfriend if you have one. |

Men who are of their class. The ones in their social circle. We are saying the samething. Put you brain to work. They marry their counterpart that can control them and are richer also. That is the way it goes... Women crave for men that can control them both financially, emotionally and otherwise... |

SonOfEl: hmm.....I get your point sir, but such definition of wisdom is inferior, we all know that. WISDOM IN A BLEND OF COGNITIVE AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, I.e IQ and EQ...( + the God factor of course) What is the relevant of the wisdom if you can't use it to make money and have a better life. According to Abraham Lincoln ; If you can't convert your knowledge to fortune, then you are an educated illiterate. Knowledge is the key power to make wealth. So if one is not wealthy, no one is ready to buy your wise idea. |

SonOfEl: see eh, most of my female friends are career women and rich business women. the are the ones craving to have marital homes. that is not to say, you don't find a few humble ones among them. I already have my boo who is intelligent and well-to-do, but dear, she doesn't intimidate me. she saw what I had that humbled her, and it was neither money nor intelligent.
I think cholerics go best with phlegmatics regardless of the gender involved.
I had a rich and intelligent female HOD when I was the course rep of my department back in the university days. we were close, and she give me some nuggets of wisdom that till today, works for me. I had a female boss where I once worked, believe me. she wasn't much older than me, but my popularity amongst the staff made her want 'prove her superiority' na she tire eventually. we are friends and confidants today. I once dated a medical student, I studied food science and nutrition, but being who she is, she gives remarks or make statements to supersede mine because she believes as students we both were, she was more 'placed' than I was. wisdom prevailed. I used wisdom to conquer her.
do you know that a wise woman will never try directly or indirectly to intimidate her husband even. if he 'feels' intimidated. in her wisdom, she has a way of making him feel on top. its only insecure men that feels threatened by rich and successful women. What you are saying is stories and riddles. You date a rich girl, you had one as friend or boss, do this or that... Marry her, then you will know her true color. Men are not intimidated to marry such women but some can't just stand being control by a woman. Take it or leave it, money begat pride. So if your woman is highly richer that you, one day she will begin to demonstrate it to you not because she is a woman but a human. It's our nature. If you are not in control, you become a remote control. Do you know why most of them hardly get husband to marry? |

SonOfEl: **laughs** levels kor.... ladder ni.... na so e pain you reach? anyway darling, I have NOTICED you. whether you accept it or not, women will always be women, but how a man REACTS to it put the woman in her place.
Personally, no woman can try to intimidate me and succeed, because at the end of the day, intelligence and wealth will always bow to wisdom. #fact. Those who are wealthy are seen as wise men bro... not the number of books you read. The trend has changed. |

SonOfEl: yes I can, both don't expect her not to use it against you at some point, because that's a woman for you. mind you what makes you a man is much deeper than more money and a bigger career. you wise judgements in crucial issues makes her trust you and obey you, because she will respect your views. two, if you are a romantic lover and fantastic in BEDmatics, she will call you lord, trust me.... three, once you are not the nosy and possessive type, it makes her free and herself with you..... there are many more deep things that tames any amazon queen or lioness as so called. What are you saying? If you don't have money, your statement doesn't count. You are seen as a failure that can't advised someone. You said bedmatic... she will be the one to control you in the room. When a man is not in control, he has lost it. If you can't be in control, you become a remote control. Don't get it twisted. |

Redfruit: .....Please stop saying that women can't do it. I lost my dad at the young age of 4yrs and am the last born in a family of 4. my mother with virtually no external support and through her very small retail business catered for us. Strange enough, we all went to private primary and secondary school. Paying minimum of 20k per term and are all graduates today, thanks to her lone efforts. I could still remember on one occassion when I was in ss1, my two senior siblings were in university already and my direct senior was preparing for waec, because of the much financial load, she could not pay my school fees and I was sent home inbetween the termly exams because I could not pay. We tried borrowing and she could not and she was totally banckrupt. So on one of those nights, I was alone with her in the house, my other siblings were in school. I heard sobs and I woke up and tried tracing where the sound was coming from, only to get to the veranda and met mum crying....I asked why she was crying and she said that she could not withstand the sight of me been at home while my mates are writing exam just because she could not afford my fees. I tried consoling her but she wont stop and we ended up crying together till morning. Early that morning, she took broom and rake and started going to sweep people's house and clean it up while I looked after her business. We realised the money in 3 days time and I went back to school though they were through with the exams when I came back. I promised myself never to disappoint her and thank God that today, I kept that promise together with my siblings. Mothers are diamonds, cherish them. I feel your pain bro but did you read my comments very well. I don't think so. Did you see the word "Some" in my statement? Please read comments very well before narrating your ordeal for self pity. I never said all women, I only said some except you fall into the category of some. If I should narrate what my mum did for us, you will know your case is learning, so get the message. |

Nice comments from you guyz.
Getting a GA job is not really easy even if you graduated with a first class. It takes God's grace and lots of connections to succeed in the race.
I graduated from a first generation federal university with a second class upper( 4.2) and a sound knowledge in my field. I have discussed with some lecturers in my department about getting a GA job.
I was told to apply for a master's program in same university then push my application with the help of my HOD and other key professors in the school. It has not been easy because of the protocol in the federal system.
My advised to those aspiring for GA jobs is to get other jobs doing during your masters programs before the GA job surface because it can take a long time to complete the process if actually you stand a better chance of getting it.
Most importantly, if you have passion in lecturing and ambition of becoming a lecturer one day, never stop studying, attending seminars & workshops related to your field, get professional certifications, acquaint yourself with the modern software related to your field.
Just keep learning and getting the knowledge. One day it will stand you out.
May God help us...

Parents are really trying. It's not easy to be a man.
The man will pay school fees, pay house rents, furnish the house, provide clothing for both the woman and children, fuel the car and generator with pocket money. I never knew how difficult it is till I went for service. I was like even 19,800 couldn't carry me for the month. From there I started giving my parents the maximum respect.
To be a man is not "indomine ooo". It's really challenging. Later the women will be claiming 'gender equality' when some can't afford to shoulder the house responsibility for one week.
Shout out to all the responsible men(father) in the house. |

Some persons still make some mistake about the best state to serve. For me there is no best place to serve. Every state has its challenges.
The best place to serve is a state closer to where you reside. You might not really understand but that is the surest place to serve. For example I hail from Delta, Edo or Bayelsa should be the best place. Nothing like when you are close to your provinces. It gives you leverages over so many things.
Lagos, Abuja, PH or Cross river is never the best place to serve except you have someone ready to absorbed you. The cost and standard of living in such state is at the high side and your little alawee mightn't be enough to carry you through. I know so many corps members that are suffering in the above location because of the high influence of corps members in such state. It takes some over three months to get their PPA due to rejection. Accommodation and transport is such state is hell. you might end you renting with your personal money if your PPA have no budget for accommodation.
Serving close to where you reside will save you transport because you must always be tempted to travel home especially when posted to schools. It will enable you get access to some basic items that might cost your money. It will help in case of emergency. For example the recent head count that gave most corps members nightmare. It cost some corps members 7 to 10k from their alawee to sign in their absence.
The 19800 is just a small money. If you are posted to a very far place and the condition in the location is very bad, your service year might just become a boring one especially those posted to desolate villages. If you are close to the state you reside, you can always pay weekend or monthly visit which will keep you in focus.
Never chose a place because you heard about the flamboyant style in the state. Choose a places that will enable you access your family members or relatives or love ones. It's very important because the 19800 is just nothing.

kobosmalls: None of what u said here makes sense.
ladies who married aki and paw paw dont love them.
they just like the fame and money.
That is exactly one of the things i mentioned in my post.
Your selling point is your 6ft3 in height and not your money nor your struggles. dont u think that if u are rich that a short guy with all the money in the world has no chance if the two of u are competing to win a woman. In fact the short guys wife will divorce him and go to you once u make the move.
I dont think you are in the best position to place advice here. Who told you those ladies don't love Akin and pawpaw? What do you know about love? Can't you understand simple english? I said my height is one of my selling point. Even if am not extremely rich, I have the money to take care of a woman very well. I am not a broke ass dude. I don't struggle to get a girl. I have the qualities and the sugar coated mouth. Don't worry, a lady that love your height will locate you one day but you need to make money shall. Money will compliment your height. Lol Work on yourself. |
