i've been playing emulated games for over 6 years now.

i used connectix vgs long time ago (before the PS2 was even released). if i remember correctly, it's a 700kb exe file thats auto runs the PS CD. no doubt that - it's a solid emulator but all that's for (older) PS1 games.

PS2 emulators require the PS2 BIOS to work. even the more recent PS1 emulators like ePSXe requires the PS1 BIOS to run. so i ain't confusing no one.

one more thing, if you don't have a DVD-ROM drive forget it. PS2 games are DVDs!

the emulator link? it's a 7-zip file (a fairly new compression format). you'll probably need 7-zip or winrar to decompress it.

you can get the PS2 BIOS here.

last month i got to see the K-1 WORLD GP 2005 tournament held in japan. it was off the hook. hard-core fighters from different martial arts backgrounds compete for the number 1 spot.

K-1 has got all the glamour and excitement of the fake WWE and realness of boxing. now this is what a tournament should be like.

There's this korean guy Choi Hong-man that's 7 feet, 2 inches and built like sh*t u only see in comic books. and weird enough he lost to last year's champion Remy Bonjasky.

There's even a nigerian guy, Bobby Ologun that competes also. He wasn't in the K-1 WORLD GP though. The guy happens to be a TV-star in japan and only recently started martial arts some 2 years ago. He's got a blog here (in japanese though).

anyway, if there's anybody here who knows where i can download K-1 fight videos, holler

first off, you'll need a network hub and 3 "straight" network cables. connecting them is obvious.

i assume you're using windows on the 3 computers. if yes, then just use the network setup wizard. it's fairly straight-forward and automatic. you just need decide which one of the 3 computers connects directly to the internet (it should have at least 2 RJ-45 ports).

i expected your PCs to cost more. 50k isn't really going to get you the ideal workstation. i assume you haven't considered the graphics hardware you're going to use for rendering. i doubt a 50k P4 would even have the best IGP on the market not to even talk of a good dedicated 3D card.

from what i know, top animation companies work with clusters of high spec machines using the lastest state-of-the-art ATIs or Nvidia cards. (nvidia's GeForce 7800 GTX 512 is currently the best out there and not cheap either - not less than $600)

of course there are cheaper alternatives but they'll certainly increase the price you put up there. do some more research.

i assume basic certification should be MCP (microsoft certified professional).

you could also get linux, install it and play around.
