Niggy:ha ha ha yo Niggy, can't stop laughing. where did u buy it? all i can say i you bought a fake. it was never 256mb, the partition table of your flash was manually modified by them pirates.same thing happened to me. i bought a so called 256mb "IBM" flash disk from otigba, then one day after 2 weeks of using it, it miraculously became 64mb. man, i wanna troubleshoot die. i cleared the whole disk down to its partition table. created a new table and it was still the same 64mb. just use linux's fdisk and play around, you'll see. have fun. i now understood why large files i had saved then were often corrupted. |
Otigba?! No way man! Alaba is the capital of console games. You can try Oshodi too. |
IAH:precisely. and also for other organisations too (including govt, schools, ) |
yo james, it must be the way you walk. ![]() |
@layi. i was only commending DeepThough's post cos he seems to emphasize on teamwork more than any other post. You guys just seemed to have been arguing with each other. and hey i'm no 3d genius, i'm here to provide unbiased views. carry on. |
yeah, game dev does have it's trying moments but let's just say i get used to it more everyday. looks like i'm going to have to learn some basic 3d modelling then (just that i barely have time for that). it's inevitable anyway. milkshape3d here i come. |
Ghost in the Shell Silence of the Lambs Shawshank Redemption and of course Quentin rulez: Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs |

![]() yeah BSP trees can be scary. but nowadays, a BSP scenes can be done by the 3d artists (if map building is your thing). http://www.ogre3d.org/wiki/index.php/Bsp_making i'm actually trying to add a BSP or Quad tree to a demo, i did. it's quite inefficient because the whole world is being rendered at once (it's a heavily tessellated labyrinth) i came up with an algorithm to render the world. no models involved since i don't know how to model 3d. so everything is code level. i was hoping you could model the world for me and also add the BSP tree automatically. just wishful thinking. ![]() |
nike4luv:gbosa! take cover. i guess nike4luv's sig says it all |
just like half-time breaks, a lot ot things can happen during the mid-season break and i think madrid will recover from their poor form. i hope they do because i hope to see them play inter in the CL quarterfinals. |
Antonio Xassano was today presented as a madrid player. Struggling madrid bought him as a replacement for the injured and IMO dissapointing Raul. I really think he's a quality player and i wish juve got him but hey, we've got enough talent.
|
hey grafikdon. are u familiar with BSP trees? |
i think grafikdon has made things a lot more clearer now. |
nice man! nice! but i no longer need a modeller (at the moment though). i'll holler at you when i need ya ![]() and i just saw the movie appleseed last night (it's a cel-shaded anime). keep it up, man. ![]() |
certainly not yours |
@layi there' definitely a lot more that goes into assembly than u think. if you compare two computers of the same spec, one assembled at comp villa, and a branded one. the branded one always blows the computer villa version away. the guys are oomputer villa assemble with inferior components that don't necessarily perform to their best capability. imagine, a 3.2ghz P4 on a board with a poor bus speed with a slow 512 ram and large harddrive running with a low rpm. coupled with a poor integrated graphics processor. thats the kind of sh*t a newbie can get at comp. villa believing he's got a top-of-the-range system - only to be surprised the 3d game he just bought crawls. branded systems on the hand use components optimized for each other to allow for maximum performance. that what a company like zinox and it's partners aim to achieve. optimum communication between components and maximum performance! |
now that's the smartest post i've seen here. |
@demmy & omon: spot on! well, i just wanna say even most of the big guys (HP, toshiba & co.) do the same thing as zinox. my HP laptop's LCD wasn't made by HP. the hard-drive isn't HP, the board isn't HP, the RAM, of course isn't HP. so these companies know what they are doing. |
