learned from this forum that minimum ntb for zenith is a milla... I'll make enquiries regarding their rates. If good I'll move some fractions to zenith. I like their shakara which oozes confidence and stability

piece of advice: same way you choose to deal with any bank, always insist on available tenures and rates and make your own choice... don't leave it up to em... don't be emotional but rational with your dealings with institutions as opposed to individuals.

When was Stanbic shaky?
If you don't know, Stanbic has always been No1 or No2 for a long time despite the fact that they don't have up to 1/3 of the branches of First Bank. Refer to their share price at the stock market if you are in doubt and you will see that it's either Stanbic at the apex or GTB.

If what you are looking for is a Nigerian Bank that is strong and reliable, then think of STANBIC, GTB & ZENITH. FIRST BANK is very far behind these 3 banks.

First Bank is 3pm and stanbic is 1pm. First Bank starts from start of work while stanbic starts from 10am. First Bank takes all the amount and credit your interest later while stanbic debits and leaves your interest at ones. I always stand to be corrected. Thanks

am moving to stanbic ibtc.. They seem to understand that, investor's money count for them weather in tbills or fixed deposit (even though the profits ain't same)

i like that.

I dunno there's something about shakara in banks that makes me more relaxed. though ibtc gives juicier rates, more than 60% of my investment is in fbn. I'm usually sceptical about "inviting" rates. There was a time ibtc was shaky but they've recovered ever since. just my premonition. anyone can enlighten me though to this effect.

Well, like you warned me, i checked my account this morning and saw my cash still sitting there!

i rushed to the bank and the officer wasn't on sit @9:30, another worker said there was no network.

Well, i will move my cash back to MMF till Jan when i shall move totally to stanbic Ibtc.

had similar experience. went to ibtc they told me ntb is closed for this year. I said no not primary but secondary. He insisted that he checked and both were off till next year. In my area just 1 ibtc branch close by so I sharperly transferred to fbn. The officer who was handling my ntb in fbn upon seeing my balance involuntarily reacted saying "is it a transfer? " I was like what? He said nothing. All he said afterwards was "yea it's done". till the following day, no debit. lol... I just chilled... went to another branch and finally got it done.

so it's not a question of leaving fbn to ibtc. have both in case
