I beg to disagree.

In every country, there must be someone to veto the entire process...Mr President's veto is not really on the law being made, but as a way of saying "yes, I agree that this followed the right procedure". In the UK, it's not the Prime minister, but the queen, in Germany, it's not the Chancellor, but the President. In modern democracies, it's the president. And in some monarchy, it's the emperor.

If you are talking about sovereignty, the president is that symbol...not our over-fed corrupt lawmakers.

I don't think that is exactly the issue because assuming a new election is held and a candidate from another party win the poll what will now be the fate of the current VP whose original tenure of office is 4years ? Will the new President now be forced to work with a VP from another party or the current VP will be asked to resign.
