Oh! What the elite families of the ND have done to the creek-dwelling masses. They constantly feed them with fallacies about the FG while they themselves build castles round the world. Then those who can read and write struggle to buy MB, finally succeed and then come online to scream obscenities. At least the North has a bit more to show for it's allocations in terms of infrastructure (please if you haven't traveled beyond the junction of your village don't quote me). Nevertheless, our political class collectively deserve a very ruthless cleansing from the masses. |

obailala: In addition to what you have up there, they still receive some mega bucks from NDDC and ND ministry. But dont be dismayed, the real reason Bayelsa (and by extension, the rest of the ND) is still in a mess is because Hausas and Yorubas have been siphoning the money away to go develop Lagos and other cities even whilst the NDeltans languish in squalor.
At least that is the theory several 'wise' people and prophets online and offline have been spreading lately. Even NDA and the Ultimate Warriors and co have been acting appropriately on this intelligence. Ah! They already on the thread displaying their skills o. You can see them already pointing fingers up North. Kai! |

I actually blame the Hausa guys for taking the matter to the police. They shoulda just mobbed the idiot as they'd have done in the past so people like you can come online wail properly. His bail is a paltry 50,000 Naira go and pay (or form a group to pay for him). You'd wonder why civil society groups aren't championing his case as opposed to other percieved persecution cases but of course his name is Iroko so hitertho functional brains from a certain region will take a vacation. The guys in Zamfara did it the old school way, y'all still complaining. What do you really want? To provoke people intentionally and not expect a response? Go and read the facts of the case again and see why the first person to quote you said your post made you look stupid. Have a nice day. lafuria1: Why should Mobil comply? Bring thier headquarters to uyo or eket for what? Is the QIT terminal not enough, is Mobil not paying royalties, is mobil not paying the community elders, did mobil not pay 25bn naira for the oil spill that happened in 2012? Mobil have a housing estate, Mobil guest house, Mobil airstrip, terminal, are this places not enough,
Let me ask why should mobil bring their headquarters to eket? Have you thought why they wouldn't?
Mobil has been in eket for the past 40years, nothing will make them bring thier headquarters to uyo talk less of eket. Even the eket, isit eket, ibeno community are not asking for the mobil headquarters to sited in eket, this faceless militants should go and fish In the river It's funny you are trying to reason with these guys. They simply need the headquarters relocated so that they can go back to kidnapping foreign expats. The kidnapping business has since slowed down due to the mass exudes of foreigners from the region hence daily sighting of new militant groups. |

I thank those Hausa men that they were at least civil enough to take the matter to the police, the story could have been different. A repeat of that will take place quite soon with the way they are going. I pity the innocent ones. |

2dugged: a referendum? have you forgotten your president has said the unity of this country is not negotiable?, ok let's go for resource control, the same government would not hear of it,I will not celebrate violence in any way, in as much as I commensurate with the families of the deceased but we all know this could have been avoided form the government that has done nothing but talk tough, I want peace and a better Niger Delta, is that too much. to ask for?,the Niger Delta feeds the nation yet they are still treated with as inconsequential, that my friend is where the problem is. "if I bring the ingredients for the pot of soup and you refuse to give me my share because you brought the pot, I will rather throw away the food".May I ask what's so difficult in the government considering resource control, what are they afraid of?,as for the issue of the fulani herdsmen, have you forgotten that they are libyans? Oh yeah? Treated as inconsequential and not given food from the pot? How about the fact that you guys get more allocation than the rest of the country? How about the 13% derivation? How about various ecological funds? How about GEJ ruling the country for 6 years? Nooo na. Hold your leaders accountable first for the underdevelopment of the ND before coming out to scream "Awusa pipo are drinking awa oyel." Back to my initial comment, the taunting online whenever your terror groups cause havoc has gotten VERY close to the breaking point offline so when the replies from other ordinary Nigerians start trickling in, we should all be ready to enjoy it. There's a lot to gain from it in my honest opinion. |

2dugged: I wonder what the families of people murdered by fulani herdsmen should be doing?, I wonder what the families of the 10 soldiers killed in Niger state should be doing?, when it comes to Niger Delta you people seem to have extra adrenaline pump Oh, I don't see the fulanis online celebrating each killing that takes place neither do I see those from Niger online taunting the rest of Nigerians over the deaths of those soldiers. You might not like what I've posted, but eventually that is exactly what is gonna happen if you guys down there keep on with your present attitude. Doubt it? Go find out one of the main catalysts to the civil war. There's sweet talk and then, there's good ol truth. I don't give 2 fvcks if you guys want your own country (I'm assuming you are from that region), get your acts together, call for a referendum and rise up with one voice and say "We are leaving.” You can't be openly celebrating a terrorist group more so when they are murdering other people in your lands and not expect to get clapped back at eventually. |

deliveryboy: Why are Igbos so quick to defend this and hastily conclude the bullets are relics of the civil war? Do they think they are immuned to the destructions these bullets would have caused eventually. For all I care, it may have been buried by their own enemies. All they do is struggle to protect their image on social media AT ALL COST.My people lets stop and think for once. Really? You want to play the ethnicity card? I think those bullets are civil war relics. Why? Every location that has ever experienced large scale armed conflict has continually unearthed caches of arms, unexplored bombs etc. This isn't the first time weapons/ammunition dating to civil war era would be found in the South East (a little googling would help you there), so until the police concludes otherwise, I'll continue to believe those are civil war era stashes. ...and sorry to burst you bubble, I'm not even from the South as a whole talk more of being Igbo. |

royallord1: those bullet belong to an automatic rifle presumably the AK47... and as such it isnt the civil war bullets... someone bought them had no need for them again then buried them.... i think it was bought during election period by politicians.. or the biafra agitators... metal will always corrode if buried without proper care but bullets take very long to corrode... even at that i suspect its just dirt (soil stains) on the bullets... apply water and they are good for use... MadamExcellency: Soldiers and Security Agencies are employed to protect lives and properties and not to vent their anger and frustrations on innocent civilians mostly women and children due to military's lack of intelligence or any of their operational failures.
I expect you to know that the civilian populations in Niger Delta especially the women and children are the ones bearing the brunts of the environmental pollution and sufferings in the creeks hence need preservation.
Militants have their means of sustenance (oil bunkering and smuggling) hence should be targeted while the Soldiers should make sure that no civilian is "purposefully" targeted in revenge. That's quite hard to do especially when the vast majority of online users are all over social media and the Internet singing the praises of these criminals. The North-Easterners roundly set up their CJTF and mostly rose up with one voice to condemn BH and it's activities. The south-southerners and their south-eastern brothers are busy worshipping and hailing each destructive act of the NDA. See? It's not the same thing. |

If peradventures history of this country is revisited many so called national heroes will become villains..as many villians will become heroes. lordvictor: does the money generated from the sale of crude oil in the south south go into their pocket? is it not going into the federal account that is shared nationally with some states in the west getting more than some oil producing states. eg lagos state. you still have the gut to talk. its well. I would answer you rationally however, seeing that you lot are just an unfortunate sour mix of disgruntled, whiny, bitter people who will complain no matter what happens be it good or bad (as explained in the 'bolded' post below), I won't. Here's the only thing I have to say to your kind: Dangote, a private citizen, made a good business call (which is his right by the way) and anybody who is angry that he is not giving them another opportunity to bomb and kidnap should kindly, in the most politest of ways, go fvck themselves. Achuwa1: Hope Dangote is making arrangement for crude outside Niger Delta tht he will be refining in his new refinery tht he is building in Lagos. Because u cant be building refinery in Lagos & be loading crude from Niger Delta to refine in Lagos, unless he will be refining crude explored from sw. if Dangote wants crude from Niger Delta he would have built his refinery in SS coz we have other peaceful states of Akwa ibom to build it if he feels Delta state is not safe. we are watching & waiting coz what NDA is doing nw will be small compared with what will happen then if an inch of crude is to be lifted from Niger delta to be refined in Lagos. You bloody f00l. Did he say he wanted to collect your crude for free? As a smart businessman, he has sited his refinery seaside so that he can easily buy from the thousands of other crude merchants roaming the seas with crude at prices cheaper than what he'll get from the avengers. Only a mad man will use private funds and site any valuable business (even if it's a public toilet) in the Niger Delta at this moment. It's his money, you can go fvck yourself. Thank you. |
