AK-ONE:What matters to me is that my church has not kept quiet in the face of mediocrity and after failed attempts at dialogue, have decided to take a bold decision. Honestly, you do not know how this singular act has boosted the confidence I have (which I almost lost) in the Church, its teachings and God in general. No be fight o. But I think I can now go to church with my head held high knowing fully well that the priest standing on that altar actually knows what he is doing. Jesus said, "Love thy neighbour, and pray for your enemies. This is the greatest commandment..." E.g: You do not know how demorilzing it is to see your faith eroded by watching people whose idea of Christianity is to sow dubious seeds, pray for their bosses (who they percieve as 'enemies' to die, take their positions and then claim it as reaping 'bountiful harvests'. That is the height of spiritual cannibalism! Worse still, back it up with questionable interpretations of the scriptures. See, pls, let's not derail this thread with side talk Abeg. Shallom. |
aryzgreat: We are talking the same thing, have u refuted my claim that CAN presidency is rotated btwn catholics and protestants? Before oritsejafor was Onaiyekan then Mbang, then Onaiyekan, then Akinola etc. its like north south zoning PDP does. Onaiyekan is expected to vie with him even though he know its their turn. When it was catholic turn, mbang contested with onaiyekan and lost. Its a mutual agreement thing.A million likes. It's not a "We against them" issue. It's just the rational thing to do in order to avoid more conflict. |
italo: I find it amusing and confusing that the same people who say "Catholics are not Christians" are the ones crying "why did they leave the CHRISTIAN Association of Nigeria."I honestly wonder. |
Igwe.:I wonder o! Do we now kneel down and start screaming "let somebody fry my enemies?" |
Ah! Finally. Thank God! Proudly Roman Catholic. |
ebankole: indice bet these daysRD's? |
Pedophile ![]() |
Eze Promoe: [color=olive]What's wrong with AlingoAlingo was banned for the scene towards the end of the video where a lady was making some sexual moves on one of the P-square guys in the back of the van. IMO, that part should be cut out so as to have the ban removed. It's a very nice video by the way. |
honeric01: Nigeria is screwed up, laws are made but never followed. And you'd see the guardians of such minors coming on NL to blame the government even for failing to direct their kids/younger ones. |
No wahala. Y'all should do a good job. Jah bless. |
naptu2: Musicians should learn to also release a "broadcast version" of the songs and videos.Very solid point. |
Good job. |
Kai. Is this thread dead or just taking a hiatus? Well, if you are a newbie, just go to the first page and you can get the links to all past seasons of the BOM thread. I think there's more than enough guidance there for you to be very successful in this biz. Tip: Pick a strategy you can understand and stick to it. That's the key. |
andrewza: Dyslexia is not illitracy. There is a difrence.Lmao! Of course! Anyone who could identify the antagonism buried in the posts from your compatriot must find it hard to interpret visual information. Wow! |
spikes C: you don't need to reply to every post. This is what we suffer here, illiterates taking over the internetHehe, If that was directed at me, go look in the mirror. If it wasn't then, Mia maxima culpa. Adios. |
andrewza: Realy you talk about keeping civil and then attack our eduction sytem (has[ if yours is any better) I'm pretty sure I'd get a more hostile reception if I was making such comments as you lot have done here, on an SA forum. Go figure. |
You should go through your posts and see who's been sentimental. All you've done is try to paint Nigerian military capabilities in bad light. Trying to use subtle words while being utterly antagonistic in your criticisms? Try harder. you've done quite a poor job at masking your loathing for the Nigerian military. (Some soldier you must be )And please don't talk about illiteracy and education. Ah! You should try educating your largely illiterate black population in your country (and don't forget to teach them about the dangers of rape, HIV and violent crime too). You should stick to soldiering rather than engaging in petty bashing across vast borders. Surely, you can do better than that. |
ola_pluto: ^^^ You, sir, are not very analytical in your assessment. Maybe because your country SA has not really been involved in ground operations. Intelligent military analysts will tell you that no battle is won from air. In fact, air attacks are mainly to distabilise and demoralise the opposition. Nigeria has one of the best ground troops in the world, even with us still using the kalashnikov as our flagship rifle.Don't waste your breath on any xenophobic bigot. Free matter joor. |
Coldfeet: I like Cossy! people who don't know her just spew trash! Get to know this lady one on one and you will marvel! Forget all the gra gra she does its just for the industry it doesn't mean she's like that in person! Cossy is a decent and kind hearted lady I tell u.Ha! Very true o. I like Shekau. People who don't know him just spew trash! Get to know that mallam one on one and you will marvel! Forget all the bombing, he does it just for the (bomb) industry. It doesn't mean he is like that in person! Shekau is a decent and kind hearted man I tell u. ![]() |
Blyss: Humm, well the Nigerian troops are not carrying side arms. If you are going into battle, it's important that you carry a side arm with you along with your primary rifle.Lol. It's "side arms" now? What next? Condoms? |
Blyss: Dude lets get real; did you actually look at the video? Traditional pre-war activities to boost moral and get the men riled up and ready to fight is common place in most militaries, but in this case their actions are just STUPID and very unprofessional. First of all, throughout most of that video, the dudes were flaring their guns all over the place, and many times they were pointing right at the other men standing off to the side. That's highly unprofessional. There were other issues I've seen, but that was the major one."Highly unprofessional" yadayadayada! Getting real is understanding that this is the way these guys are doing it and they don't need no one punching a keyboard to tell them what 'professional' is. And you dare call them "foolish" too? Haha. You have no right. Absolutely none (especially when you are insinuating that you are American). If you wanna talk "unprofessional," go settle the many(and my God! there's a lot) issues the U.S Army has in its execution of international duty before you come here and call our gallant Nigerian soldiers "foolish and unprofessiona.l" Bloody 'been-to!' |
snydergp: What's ur argument actually because like I said the NA does have SF Paratroops that are more then adequatly trained for this not NN sf naval units.Never said you were, did I? Lol. (And you were the one talking about analyzing posts.....hehehehe). Whatever floats your boat my friend. |
snydergp: My friend I'm not disputing the training of ur nn sf and there competence, but as a soldier myself I would strongly disagree with this post because the little I knw abt ur army is that in any SF in majority of militaries even the overrated US army would rather use Delta opperatives for such missions, because they have the specified training. For inland recon and target aquasition in such an enviroment the NA's SF do have spesialized units for such tasks and I don't think that it would include maritime units in Mali's north.LMAO! This is Nigeria and not the U.S effing A! We make do with what we've got at the moment while improving. I guess you'd suggest waiting for our own 'Delta Force' to be formed while we these terrorists keep blasting away. Dem no get S.F, una complain. Dem don get, una still dy complain. By the way, the Nigerian Intelligence sector has assets on the ground in Mali as stated by the CDS a forthnight ago. So you see, they seem have an idea on what they are doing afterall. |
snydergp: Really NN SF carrying out spec ops, in ARID-DESERT-LAND where water is the most precious resource.Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! This is what we keep saying! Don't just dispute ooooooo. The SBS is a special force modelled after and trained by the Brisitsh Special Boat Service (SBS). More like the U.S Navy SEALS (pls don't tell us they don't operate on land)! |
EFX001: NIGERIAN NAVY SPECIAL BOAT SERVICENo mind some people jaree. Very quick to condemn those who are giving their best in service to their Country while the only contribution they've ever made to their country are silly posts on NL. Very quick to call our soldiers "foolish" and "animals" while the citizens of those countries whose soldiers they can't wait to paint better than ours look upon their servicemen with respect. These people go to war, man checkpoints under harsh weather conditions while you tuck yourselves into bed, sleep, wake up, come to NL and spew trash on them. "foolish this, stupid that..." Wetin u dy wait for? No be your mates full line for embassy and dy cross desert? Siddon dia waiting for someone else to come make your country better. Arm-chair critic. (If only we had military conscription......)! |
lacasa: Na true the woman talk, why r we deceiving ourselves.Well, except you are using an iPhone5 or better, you are 'I'll equipped' to comment on Nairaland. Get real! |
Blyss: I'll admit that they made a lot of improvement, but they still got some way to go. Look at this ignorant foolishness, would you call this being professional?"Morale" (Get familiar with the word). I guess you didn't call some of the French soldiers who wore clown(ish) masks right on the war-front in Mali, "bunch of fools." That show of "ignorant foolishness" as you put it, has become a traditional pre-deployment activity for Nigerian troops and that has not being known to negetively affect the troops' perfomance on the battlefield. (They are going to war! Not a dinner party). You should leave "Soldiering" to soldiers. But hey! Some are just programmed to dis anything Nigerian by default. |
".......manning checkpoints and loading trucks....." Absolute balderdash! |
Kudos to the fire service for the prompt response. More thanks to those in the neighbourhood for not blocking the road and hampering emergency work, unlike some...... |
Mrc1: Borini on for Sturridge who gets a well-earned rest. Attacking substitutions from Liverpool, its been a long time since we have had attacking options on the bench.Yes o. Haba. E don tey. Suarez can rest a little now. |
Ah! Why is carragher limping? Make him no try am o. We need our full squad strength till season's end o! |
Goallllllllll!!!!!!, YNWA! |
