It does. But I wouldn't say smartphones only. I'd say social media and all its shorthand has really reduced the quality of written English we see (among youths) these days. E.g, A lot of people now replace the letter 's' with 'x' when they spell words. There are many more examples but the crux of the matter is that social media has really affected the quality of written English among youths. Go through the comments on NL and see for yourself. |
harizonal123: pls somebody help, I funded my bom with master card and today being saturday I requested for a withdrawal via the same master card. They told me withdrawal not possible. Pls what should I do now. PLS helpIf the mastercard you used in funding isn't a credit card, then you might not withdraw through that card. That's why it's advisable to use UBA Africard when funding. |

Localtrouble: And what do men who think"I can get food from another woman if I don't eat my wifey's or GF's" have? Over bloated ego? Hope that poor girl knows the plan you have for her?Men who think that way should not be married at all. It's not a matter of someone being egoistic. When you are married or in a serious relationship, it is pertinent to underline the fact that whatever quarrels, disagreements etc and all reactions border around the two of you alone. Not making statements or taking actions that suggest "if you won't, someone else will." This goes for both parties (the man and the wife). As for the 'poor girl,' walk a mile in my shoes will you? |
I'd be broken. Definitely would wreck the marriage. |
I wish for her to become a better country. (Even if it's one positive step at a time). |
Well, it's still going to be forex, forex and more forex. The rest, I'm not saying. |
Can't the mods do something about this?! It's pretty hard reading more than one page of a new thread without it getting derailed. #Not the NL we used to love. |
Thread officially derailed? Moving on..... |
LWKMD! POOOLICE! Na on a banger chasing thingz now abi? |
byvan: Don't ignore a woman that you know many can't ignore.choose your battles wisely.Gbam! This is the sole reason I'm not taking the 'next-step' with my g.f. What a ludicrous school of thought to belong to. If I have to always keep it at the back of my mind that my woman can easily move on to someone else because I ignored her while having a quarrel, then I guess it was a mistake marrying her in the very first place. (I think) Ladies who have low self-esteem often wanna prove that "if you don't want me, someone else wants me." Kinda makes you look cheap. |
veracool247: Such men that refuse to eat are childish. Eating together can bring about unity. Not eating increases chances of separation.Eating (together ) when angry? It's easier said than done. |
Okay! I confess! I'm impressed by the caliber of Actors/Actresses I see on these (above listed) movies. Definitely gonna get copies of these. Joke Silva, Hakeem, Jide Kossoko.......... |

Okay, now some of the kidnappers are arrested with evidence (marked bills) and some here are unhappy? Lol. I don't weep for Nigeria, I weep for certain really pessimistic individuals. |

nagoma: It's a question of who blinks first. The Pope or his butler?Whatever floats your boat my friend. |
St.Ola:Lol. I wonder why you bothered replying such an unintelligent post. Some think intelligence = access to a computer + nairaland username. |
Toh, you are the coach and it's your right to make all the decisions. Whatever happens, just bring the damn Cup back home this time. |

dagr8: Can u expatiate on dis pls? cos am a scalper in d making o...nd am done opening an account wit dem ready for 2013....make i know wats up...Instaforex does not allow scalping. It is stated boldly in their T.O.C. That's why scalpers' accounts are frozen and their initial deposit returned to them. |
mki: Only people who drink excessively employ butlers. The butler must have been stealing these papers while the pope was drunk.LWKMD! And you wonder why Obj tried bringing back free education! |
nagoma: Listen to the news baby." High level corruption "and "sexxtual misconduct" and " power tussle" is what is been reported on all international media. The butler was revealing these for the love of the church. Now that the Pope has forgiven him, we need to know about his love for the church and whether he has also forgiven the Pope. This is simple and straight forward please. To get the information you require, I'll provide you with certain numbers in the Vatican that you can call for inquiries. Here they are: 1. Name: Angelo Sodano, Title: Cardinal-Secretary of State, Phone: 011-39-06-698-83913, Fax: 011-39-06-698-85255 2. Name: Jean-Louis Tauran, Title: Archbishop "Foreign Minister", Phone: 011-39-06-698-83014, Fax: 011-39-06-698-85255 3. Name: Paolo Sardi, Title: Archbishop./ Nuncio Special Affairs, Phone: 011-39-06-698-83538, Fax: 011-39-06-698-85255 Hope it helps. |
nagoma: We here that these documents point to corruption in the Vatican and sexual misdemeanors. Did the butler also forgive the pope? What happened to his love for the church?Yes, the documents which were leaked included letters by a certain Cardinal addressed to the Pope with complaints of corrupt practices going on in the Vatican and the Church in general. It might interest you to also know that in the light of the Cardinal's persistent complaints, he was purportedly transferred out of Vatican City. This saga is still on-going. As to whether Gabriel forgave the Pope, I have no idea. Hope that answers your question? P.s: I'm just answering based on what I know o. No vex abeg. |
