Yeah you can change your course to a 1year course. However, please note that it is important that your POF shows adequately the following: 1. That you can make payment for your fees during the duration of your study (1yr/2yrs) and avoid lump sum as much as you can. 2. If you are self sponsored, it must show that you can cover for your living expenses also, 3. If you have a sponsor, your sponsor must be able to show that after financing your school fees and living expenses, he/she will have enough to cater for his/her dependents and run his/her business effectively without fear of running bankrupt except the sponsor is a salary earner. Chief, the process is the same irrespective of where you have previously studied, the only advantage you may have is faster consideration for admission from whichever DLI you apply to. Try to consider applying for a higher degree than MSc to reduce the chances of refusal or if you opt to go for college, you should try not to use your MSc certificate. Your CV/work experience can cover for the educational gap when applying for your student visa provided they are in the same line as your first degree. However, we have had scenarios where people applied for PGD and went ahead to submit their MSc certificates and still got approval but the risk is higher going that route. It's okay if you are single and have no dependents. It's okay if it will cover for your second yr fees and living expenses, otherwise up the account balance. MARINA49: |

If you are fully vaccinated. You are not required to fully quarantine. Have a quarantine plan in place, you will be tested on your arrival to Canada, once negative, you are a free bird but this might take up to three days, hence the need for a quarantine plan. nathanD: 1 Like |

My advice, just be truthful about your details as what you write and say now might be used for or against you in future. I don't see dual citizenship as a disadvantage, all you need do is explain genuinely why you are going to study your chosen course. Which of the two countries are you mostly deep rooted in the past years with respect to your work experience, family closeness that can make you claim home ties easily. Try as much as possible to make your source of funding come from where you have reside the most and where you intend using for home ties. I think you will be fine. Cheers Semtu: 1 Like |

I actually spoke to CBSA and they confirmed as a student, you have to leave the banned country to a third unbanned country for 14days, get a molecular covid test done in that country after 14days and must be 72hrs prior to when you will enter Canada. Another test will be done on entering Canada before heading for another 14days quarantine. A last test will now be done after the 14days quarantine in Canada. So all in all, na 1month quarantine a student go do both outside and inside Canada. I hope that's clear Tinakem: 2 Likes 1 Share |

New Virus is no more effective!! The WHO and Coronavirus experts are increasingly convinced the new Omicron variant is ‘super mild’ and has, so far, not led to a jump in Covid death rates anywhere in Southern Africa. The WHO is calling this morning for countries to drop travel restrictions and end the mass hysteria, and instead be cautiously optimistic as more and more reports out of South Africa suggest the new Omicron variant is not more lethal than the previous Delta variant. you can get Moderna, first and second doses are 2weeks apart. People should just ensure it can be verified online through the Bar code pjosh1: 1 Like |

Is this not for PR holders and citizens of other countries who passed through Nigeria?? Because I wonder if as a citizen of Nigeria, you only left Nigeria after the ban has been effected to another country to transit and then board to Canada. I stand to be corrected, just trying to objective. Romoke1995: 1 Like |

My concern with going through another country is, can't they trace that one left Nigeria to pass through another country for 14days before moving to Canada?? Just thinking Audrey1111: |
