I was discussing with one of my street younger bro who usually comes to me for "OT" on how to handle girls. Normally, I don't advise on matters concerning the opposite sex but this guy is loyal and quite useful wherever I want little issues and errands sorted (man dey grow old pass to dey get some things done himself )

I digress but we were discussing something today, he told me about what he spent on a girl, I didn't object and then, he went on to make a comment in the context of "you that always advise me not to spend shishi on a girl, why didn't you object?"


After he left, I took a moment to reflect on what I post here and perhaps, there are others like him who think I am against spending on a lover or prospective lovers.

Personally, I believe that financial conditions permitting, a man can expend his resources to make the life of his object of affection easier, provided two conditions are strictly met:

*She is deserving of it and pulling her own weight in the relationship (might be material or immaterial).

* The spendings are not causing strain on the man's finances and he is not being pupppeted under any manipulation tactics to part with his resources.


But then, you have to ask to ask yourself the million dollar question....... How many females of nowadays are deserving of breaking a leg and arm for?

1. I suspected something along this line, like a rebuttal, hence, this last sentence in the 4th paragraph: 'make sure everyone is on check'.

2. However, that statement is kind of nuanced. Some readers may see it as always being nice. Others may see it as caring for family. But I was actually imagining the game of chess when typing that line and the essence is that the man should be aware of manipulations when rendering or receiving help as families are not beyond manipulations.

Why am I saying all these? Because many people feel that they don't need their family(nuclear family) at all, as it is the duty of their parents to take care of them and when they become old they can choose to help or not help their ageing parents. That life is purposeless and they can choose to live and operate in the dark. It is a dark world actually!

5. Of course it is the duty of parents to cater for their children as their reproductive mirthfulness gave rise to their existence. No one by their own volition decided to come to this earth, we all are products of sexual rendezvous between our parents. Parents don't have any excuse in not taking care of their kids until they are sure that the kids now an adults can fully live responsibly and solely.

6. Many people do suffer parental negligence, hence, when they become established in future they don't give a fvck about their parents. That's a good reason for any negative attitude towards negligent parents. Some may decide to stay aloof from family because of the tension, complaints, stress, pains, manipulations, gaslighting from family members.

7. The key point here is that, as humans, we'll always find a good reason or there's always a good reason for whatever action we take or steps we make. We will wander from north to south, east to west, but will still come/fall back to the central point which is family. Family are the last on the line that will eventually welcome you home despite your attitudes. Just the way by instinct men can accommodate women, family can accommodate man. They are also on the frontline giving you all the motivations you need despite the fact that they may not fight every battles with you. And it is normal because each one of us has our perculiar troubles.

8. Except you've suffered greatly in the hands of family, black tax will be much of a problem. For those that enjoyed good welfare and support under the tutelage of family, black tax will not be seen as 'tax' when they know they can be able to provide for their family. To the later, black tax is not compulsory but necessary as an act of reciprocation and show of gratitude.

9. What's the essence of all your greatness if your genetic line is lagging behind? That's miscalculation along human evolutionary line. As you become much better, a good yardstick that will be used to judge you is how close and kind you are to your family. You may not like it but it is what it is. So, you must always reason family.

10. Black/family is important but must be done out of kindness if you have the means, and you must watch out for manipulations and ingrates.
