I am happy about OTA upgrading.in that case.I want also Amos5,Eutelsat16east,ses5 n even nilesat all the satellite tv to carry OTA upgrade,b/c dongle has made us LAZY.we are not able to go into research again 4 fta..If u watch from d begin of this fta thread,u wil c gud infos like those trying how 2 get nilesat wit 90cm,dish constructions..THIS FINDING MAY GIV SOME1 GUD JOB.but dongle has made us LAZY.

I bought my srt4669x #20,000 only since february 2009..so dat I can watch MULTI.TV since 2009 to 2013,I hav never noticed any OTA upgrading.even now im talking i am watching Gc one.no Ota upgrade.so knw d type of srt u are using.

just download d crosat sw n den enter mytv n c what will happen.just do it now n tel us b/c i hav tried it b4 saying dis.d best option is to move away frm mytv,so far as ur software carries NEWSPAPER(just goto entertainment on ur receiver).mind u dat d NEWSPAPER works with frequeny 12.522 h 26.657.. srt4940hd 4775sd 4669x n 11.receivers carries NEWSPAPERS.OTHER RECEIVERS DO NOT HAV NEWSPAPER DAT IS WHY THEY ARE NOT UPGRADING VIA OTA.

Adex70: it is a lie and u are wrong download the one i post 100% control the OTA i have the 2 software on my flash and i have help7people as @today charging them1500 each so if u dont no stop denying others 2 learn.

Tell them 2 use mytv or u,try it b/c I got d sw b4 u @ crosat. n mind u dat sw 302 is mytv.check those dat mytv upgrade their receive.just go2 system info u will c dat it is dsame.

all d users of srt 4669x n x11 u are setting us back..what u will do is that u will move out frm mytv 2 stop ota.NO SW WILL STOP OTA.UNLESS U DELETE OR MOVE AWAY FROM MYTV..JUST MARK IT ON D WALL..They are loosing customers b/c of dongle.HEAR MY WORD..IF U LUV DOG GO 4 HD RECEIVERS OR U DELETE 12.522 H 26.657 ND 12.722 H 26.657 If u stil luv 2 watch xtain channels.tnx.

It is complicated..u can only use Router 4 d 4930L.which i think is very fast,but very..very...very slow 4 dongle(mbox).my advice is,go 4 srt4922 fast 2 open dongle.or if u dont hav laptop 4 browsing u den go 4 srt4930L.d best man 2 xplain dis 2u is Olushaggy.read frm d past post u wil c his contact.tnx.

Jackobite: satmate how much do buy each coil of wire that u used for the installation .....because amp might not solve the problem at hand first get the correct component , had link two coil of strong coaxial cable with f-connector signal % is still the same so why ur own is giving you sleepness night?

I bought d wire #1,800 only(strong coxial cable).maybe d zigzag movement of d wire.

Go for 3.2 to 4m dish u will hav a gud result.

All brave men in d house.I must tell u dat u fellows are great..I hav suceeded in buying 1 line amplifier only,which i connectd 1stly at d 1st joint it comes up with 3tps which is not stable,I den remove it 4rm dat 1st place and add it to d 2nd joint and it comes up with 5stable tps and 4 unstable which normally goes off evry afternoon till morning..I still need ur help house.tnx 4 previous help.

Adex70: @ callis there is no short way get ur self 3 numbers of line amplifire one @ each end of the roll coill join with f conector. iam 100% sure ur signal will be stable as 4rm the dish ODILIBE should no much about this may be he did not understand ur problem without the 3 amp u can not (i repeat) u can never have a stable signal each amp on each end of the coill wire good luck.

odilibe: you are probably having loss of signal due to joining of cables and long cable runs..what you need is upto 3 satellite f cable jointing connector for connecting coaxial cables or run a cable without jointing this will reduce signal loss ....one in-line amplifier will do

odilibe: 3 coils of strong wire use a high conversion gain lnb....then try satellite in-line amplifier.....this should be connected at middle of the coaxial cable, between the lnb and the receiver ..it is likely to boost the (dB)signal quality of your satellite reception....Good luck.

Jackobite: the distance is much though but the quality of wires used might be poor i.e not real copper if you cant still look for a quality coaxial cable to test it b4 buying one with magnet

A friend of mine connected nilesat 2me from his dish wish is very far frm my house.atlist half km frm my place.It consumes 3 coils of strong wire n d signal did not come up,only 4tps comes up..what wil i do to increase d signal?pls help me.

Ameboperoo: Well, somebody said it worked somewhere on this forum. Hav u set d APN correctly? What type of modem? Is it network branded? Hav u tried another modem on it? I've sold my 4922 hoping to add money to buy 4930l. Pls let some1 who has used set it b4 guide us.

I used mtn n etisalat modem but it does not work.Now,I want 2 know d one that will on my 4930L den i wil beleive.tnx.

Ameboperoo: I hav boughti d 4922 receiver but later discovered that 4930l does not require a router(just usb). If u wish to connect ur receiver to internet later, go 4 30L. It will save u d cost of a router. So u will agree with me that 4930L is better.

I beleiver dat no usb modem is working with 4930L,it is just for fancy b/c i hav tried no working.

hancock: I can authoritatively tell you that most modem will not work out of the box with strong 4930L. Who ever says otherwise should tell us the make of his modem. your best bet is to get a usb wifi reciever (very small and portable) or make use of the lan port at the back of the decoder.
