Hello.
Please address issues as regards refusal , before profering solutions.
A student can not sponsor or invite someone over .
Infosoftlife gave a distinctive reason.
If he intends to swap his visa, these things will be glaring on his database as regards conduct likely.

The best option is for your mum to sponsor her trip(self finance) and support it with necessary documents.

A student is not in best position to sponsor or invite if it was not a major ceremony like graduation.
Please pay attention to details.

Other contributions are valid if they are not advising to do otherwise.
Ps: Do not follow the trend of re apply asap, Be guided.
Goodevening
Thank you very much for your suggestion & idea, it’s highly appreciated.

If you’re a student and working against the conditions of your visa… then that’s unfortunate. No wonder you were scared to come forth with this information. Same you again you said the business in Nigeria is not registered, is inside your personal account and you’re not regulated per say. I dnt know how else to help as finances must have paper trail. It’s up to you what you want to do.
If you are her sponsor you have to provide how you make your money with evidence.
Look into your wife working and maybe she can sponsor mom or you can register the Nigerian business and prove the legitimacy of the business and say it is currently been run by the mom since you are out of the country and a student. I am unable to think of anything else
P.S Dnt know if it is u or ur brother so addressed all to you to avoid more confusion
I mentioned that the company is not registered because he told me it’s not active, I thought been inactive means it’s not registered with CAC. He just told me now that the company is registered but not active on the CAC portal, so I contacted a CAC person who said my brother will have to pay some amount for annual filing & he would confirm the amount tomorrow & that once that amount is paid, the company status would change to Active on CAC portal within 24 hours.
And as you have suggested, we will mention that the company is currently being run by Mum & my brother relies on the proceeds of the company since he is only a student in UK.
He actually receives salary from the company on a monthly basis, it’s a block industry & also supplies cement & other building materials like POP & stuff.

N.B: My brother is not on a japa mission, he is a student but comes to Naija every 2 months to monitor his business, he intends coming back with his family after studies. His wife is not working in the UK, she runs the business with her husband.
I really need tour suggestion pls.

infosoftlife:
The denial is clear. Your brother is a student, and I wonder if he invited your mom to his graduation. I already knew he was violating his visa and working more hours.
You were playing the blame game.
You won't want to hear the truth at this point. Your brother is a student. He is not in a good position to sponsor your mom.
You should be careful with all these applications you are doing because I believe in the future, he would love to convert his student visa.
Don't let the past haunt him! Abroad have a good database.
What do you suggest we do in this situation?
My mum has about N6m in her bank account which is the monthly allowance we all send to her, she doesn’t really use it like that cus she lives in my brother’s house & he takes care of all her monthly expense. So can we reapply & make her the sponsor of her trip?
If we still have to use my brother as the sponsor, can we just use his personal account in Nigeria where he received salary from his company? Then we can mention that he is a student & relies on the salary from his Naija company to survive in UK.
I am just looking for a way to make the visa work without circumventing the procedures.
Pls I need suggestions.

Hello.
What does your mom do to earn a living and then blur out details from last refusal letter and post it here so u can get as much input as possible
My mum does not do anything for a living, she lives in my brother’s house & all her living expenses are taken care of by my brother.
Even as my brother is in UK right now with his wife & kids, my Mum still lives in his house in Lagos.
See the refusal letter here.

infosoftlife:
This is just speculative.
Attach the refusal letter and blur out personal information.
I refuse to believe the ECO stated the bolded was the reason for the denial.
Here is the refusal letter, my brother said he didn’t attach his UK account because at some point, he did more than 20 hrs per week approved for students to work in UK.

giselle237:
what is the source of the 4k pounds in his account and why did he refuse to mention his source of UK funds?
The 4K pounds is a combination of Naira that he converted to Pounds from Naija plus the wages for the care job he does over there in UK as a student.

It was an agent that helped him apply & the agent said there was no need to add his UK acct since the Naija account was well funded as at that time.
@giselle237 pls help me, I don’t want him to give it to an agent again that’s why I had to take it up myself because I have read it here several times that agents always put people in trouble & I have always done my own UK visa applications by myself without any refusal at all. Pls guide me Giselle.

Good evening everyone,
I intend applying for my mum to visit my brother who is studying in the UK.
Pls I need your help on the below items:
1. Is Priority visa application available at TLScontact in Nigeria?
2. My brother builds houses & sell them on the island & he also buys & sells cars but does not have a registered company, he is currently a student in Uk & would be sponsoring my Mum’s trip. Given his current status, what documents is he expected to provide in other to show he is financially capable of sponsoring the trip?
3. My Mum’s application was refused in July this year because my brother didn’t mention his UK source of income.
He actually does a care job in UK but his main source of income is the business in Naija, what do you suggest we add to the application for my brother as the sponsor?
He has about £4,000 in his UK acct & has about N15m in his Naija account.
Pls help me my people.

We are in the same shoes, did Biometrics since October 14th & still no update till now, I don send reminders tire via email & webform. It’s now 130 days & still no decision till now.
EDD is 3rd April.
It’s so sad!!

Ladykak:
Very sad.

I have not received a response yet and i applied since october to be due in a months time. seems they are doing it intentionally. maybe i shouldn't have declared and just gone as a visitor since there are no implications for doing that hiss

No, NYSC is not among.

Chijiuba:
Good day Gurus in the house please there is a question while filling the UK visa form

Q: Have you ever worked for any of the following types of organization?
Option: Government (including Public or Civil Administration and non-military compulsory national service)?

This is the option that caught my attention. Does this mean I should tick if I did NYSC. Please your advise is needed

110 days & still no response from these people o, I have sent several reminders & only Nairobi responded that my application is not with them, probably UK home office. I have contacted UK home office more than 5times via email as well as web form & they have refused to reply.
I am officially tired..... sad
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Calypso1234(m): 10:22am On Jan 31, 2020
I suggest you visit TLS & tell them u want to change your application to “Keep my passport” & if they are able to change it, you would be asked to pay N27k for that. So once a decision is made on your application, you would be requested to submit your passport. But if they’re not able to change it, I don’t know what else you can do. May be you might have to cancel the application & reapply after your S.A trip (my opinion pls, I might be wrong).

Evagreenfields:
thank you for your response. I have been calling the UK consular based off the number I found on tbr internet but no one is picking. held the call for at least 15 mins.

Also tried reaching the tlscontact phone number found online but it's not connecting.

can you please assist further.

Download booking.com app or go to their website & book the reservation, make sure u pick a hotel that has FREE CANCELLATION & NO PREPAYMENT. So after ur visa is approved, you can either cancel the reservation if you so wish.

@Giselle & @CandyBright, I appreciate you for your support throughout my visit visa application process.
Biometrics: 5th Dec 2019
I did “Keep my passport” so I was contacted last week Thursday to come submit my passport.
Meanwhile I was called on 2nd Of Jan from UK that the office number I indicated in my application wasn’t going through so I gave them another number to call in our HR department.
Passport submitted: 23rd Jan
Passport picked up: Today 30th Jan
6 months visa granted.
*Documents submitted:*
Intro Letter from my office (Bank)
My office ID card
My C.V
My employment letter
Promotion & salary increment letters
6 months play slip
6 months salary acct statement with 400k closing balance
6 months joint account with N12.7m closing balance
Letter of consent from my wife approving that I can withdraw money from the account for my trip & also why she won’t be going with me for the trip.
My wife’s salary acct statement (also a banker) with a closing balance of about 600k
My wife’s office ID
My wife’s Int’l passport & Newspaper publication for change of name
Marriage Certificate (from Church)
In my cover letter, I explained that all the money in the joint account are from our individual savings accts, there was a lodgement of N500k from a friend in the Acct which I explained but didn’t attach any document to back it up(he was owing me).
My salary N490k.
Monthly Expenses is N150k & budget for the trip is N650k (I got this from this Thread).
Hotel Reservation with price
Flight reservation with price
Document for Land (Deed of Assignment)
I have 2 cars but didn’t attach the documents
My son’s birth certificate & Int’l passport
I did a table in my cover letter which shows my budget for the trip & I did the budget in Naira.
I mentioned all the places I planned to visit including Buckingham palace, wembley stadium, Stamford Bridge & River Thames.
I attached my POE stamps to show I have been to Ghana & DUBAI & I mentioned Ghana was a visit & for Dubai, I won an award in the office & my office sent me on a trip to Dubai & I received the award over there.
I attached 1 family picture taken inside the house & 1 taken outside.
I attached 2 wedding pictures & 1 picture of the award presentation in Dubai. I indicated that I don’t have any family member in UK, not even friends.
I think that’s about everything I submitted & of course, a cover letter.
Once again thanks to @Giselle @CandyBright @Justwise

Approximately N27k.

Candybright:
How much extra did you pay to keep your passport?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Calypso1234(m): 7:18am On Jan 23, 2020
Please who has an idea how long it takes for me to get my passport back ooo biko?
I applied using “Keep my passport”, so I got a mail from TLS yesterday that a decision had been made & that I should come drop my passport. Pls how long can it take before my passport would be returned to me? I submitted it yesterday.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Calypso1234(m): 11:17pm On Jan 22, 2020
Basically, when u go for biometrics u submit your documents together with your Int’l passport, so once the result is out you would be notified to come for your passport with or without visa.
However for some people who travel a lot with their passports & can’t afford to leave it with UKVI, they submit their application without passport & pay an extra N27k. So once a decision is made on their application, they come back & submit their passport & then pick it up after some days with visa (by God’s grace) or with refusal letter (God forbid).

Abeg make una no abuse me o....what's the meaning of keep my passport...the last time I went to ikeja..I saw some who came to say keep my passport...I don't want to ask people around to avoid embarrassment

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Calypso1234(m): 8:43pm On Jan 16, 2020
@opomulero
Was it a visit or tourism visa?
Hotel reservation or invite?
How many people did u sponsor & what was the budget?
The disposable income in relation to monthly transaction become & monthly expenses, travel history?
Any landed property document?
Letter from employer?
Tax clearance & pay slips & statement?
& so on

By listing the documents submitted, gurus would be able to point out things that might have helped you get the visa & thereby help intending applicants to prepare their own applications.
Sure that’s what you have been seeing here before you submitted your application.

opomulero:
im sorry, ive replied the person that asked me the question that it was just the doc requested that i uploaded and the ones the said they did not need like car docs etc...thats all, if i wasnt straight enough people should have corrected me not to start calling me selfish etc etc.

i know what this forum have done for me regarding this application, thats why i came back to appreciate, i can decide to keep quiet and say nothing about d outcome, we have alot of people dt wont come back to say a word abt there +ve result.

today i have sent my cover letter, and sponsor letter to 2 different people on this forum that mailed me.

if i havent answered anyone straight, there is no crime in asking me again the exact thing. im not what dy call me

so calling me names is a no no for me, everyone is a unique entity and u deal with people in different ways, if u asked all of us same question, all of us wont answer the same way.

thank you

You can as well share your cousin’s friend’s contact details so people can get this letters through her, if she wants to get paid for it, I want to believe people wouldn’t mind paying her for it.

[quote author=Oluwatise2016 post=85673133]I will share my POE experience sometime this week.

Please guys note that my letter for regional health authority was from the authority itself (A cousin's friend works for the health authority in the province i wanted to go to) in the letter they listed the hospital that i intended to deliver. I attached the invoice for the hospital separate and also attached the letter from the health authority) The letter from the health authority just talks about the fact that i have consulted with a provider in the network specialized in obstetrics and gynecology and i will be settling the bill directly with them. There was no deposit or payment made.
TravelRe: Giving Birth In Canada by Calypso1234(m): 12:55pm On Jan 09, 2020
Didn’t you attach the receipts at the point of submission of your application?
I’m still wondering why they still asked for that even after you had made payment.
What category of payment did you make, was it Hospital payment or Doctor’s payment?
Advance payment or full payment?

I just sent my payment receipts yesterday to the email, we wait.. fingers crossed

Now am officially tired of this UK visa application. I submitted & did biometrics since 5th Dec, I didn’t get a response until I requested at almost N2,800 on the 2nd of Jan, I got a response after about 4 hrs that a decision has been made & that TLS would contact me & since then I haven’t heard from TLS. I work in Ikeja so I visited TLS today & they said UKVI is yet to send the decision to them.
@Justwise @Giselle & other gurus, u guys should advise me on the next line of action o, 5th Dec to 7th Jan & still no feedback.
