What was the floor price? There have NEVER EVER been a floor price for data in Nigeria. For voice, Telcos cannot go below 11k/sec(i.e 6.60k/min) AZeD1: |
Well, i am multitasking because i am a very busy person so i may not have broken it down to a level that you will understand. But you can ask me what you don't understand. Who vex epp? Even if you wan vex, no be with your mate dem? But i think you should know this- Unlike voice, there was no floor price for data before now so NCC recently gave a directive that all data plans/offerings must align with a newly introduced data floor price. This benchmark will be painful to data users as some telcos may have to increase their data tariff but it will give these telcos the opportunity of facing how they can improve their quality of service rather than focus on how much competition is selling data. I disagree that the floor price(minimum allowable price) will be 1.5GB for 3k. I think it will be between 1200-1500 for 1.5GB. Does it make small sense now? Toylove: |
Not true. Just like voice calls, NCC only introduced data floor price (The data floor price is the minimum allowable price per MB). Before now, there was no floor price so any telco can decide to sell data at any price of their choice. If it is allowed to continue that way, some of the telcos may fold-up which will lead to job loss and also drive investors away. Just imagine if Vodacom decides to pull their tariff plans down just to kill smaller telc coys like Lebara. Rather than wait until that happens(since Glo has been pushing them)NCC decided to introduce floor price. For voice calls, NCCs current floor price is 11k/sec. The price will still be between the range of 1300-1500 for 1.5G |
And the ones in opposition whose children were not given this juicy jobs are not online wailing. Because someone works with CBN or FIRS doesn't mean that person will always be better than you; you will have to choose to fail first and persistent online wailing is one of the many ways to fail. OZAOEKPE: |
And you are looking for a job to manage with foul language? I don't think so Luizkid: |
![]() You be muntula aswear. Anyway, i don't work with NCC but i work with one of the Telcos so i'm familiar with what's happening. Gerrie: |
This is not directed to me i guess? Cos from what you just wrote, we're on thesame page Most of the telcos reduced the price of their data bundle because Glo did was what i said. Now that they're at a loss, they don't need NCC to tell them to increase the price. Etisalat already did andtheir customers have accepted it in good fate. Cekpo34: |
What i mean is- Glo slashed down their data price because they can afford to do it.(They're one of the major wholesalers in Nigeria. Meaning Airtel, MTN and Etisalat buy from either Glo-1 or MainOne in wholesale price and re-sell.) Because of traffic at peak period, telcos need to either increase their network capacity(which requires sourcing for fx), drive traffic to off-peak periods when there is low capacity utilization, or increase data price in order not to continue to be at a loss. Since they slashed down data price, they have been loosing at least 600 million naira monthly apart from Glo so the price is not realistic. At the end something will have to suffer;quality or quantity joshikenna1: |
Very true. Same way APC helped PDP to buy substandard/invisible stoves with billions of Naira. dedons: |
If you truly are an insider, you would have known that this your statement is mixed with truth and falsehood. 1.NCC did not say anybody should increase data price;more telcos did because Glo did first. 2.Most telcos buy from wholesalers(like Glo and MainOne) and after dropping data price, they've been at a loss since then. 3.Because they will need to source for forex to buy and pay for almost everything, network quality will suffer if they continue at same price. 4.And if they insist on continuing this same way, they will have no other option than to cut down their staff strength. Useless talk from Fake Pastor Wendell Simlin. Where was he when Olusegun Aganga who had B.Sc in Biology and another degree in Theology became Finance Minister in Nigeria under his lord and saviour,GEJ? |
They said Zimbabwe. Ah han! I am sure if your pastor says 'praise the Lord' in church, your response will be like a complain. God help you dingbang: |
This recession will eventually be to the advantage of my brothers from the South East. They'll become more innovative, more people will patronise them which also means more money in their pockets. But some still won't focus on the opportunities; they'll be more comfortable blaming the government. |
And that was why i said 'MY MTN 4G INTERNET SPEED'. I considered my location first. And No, i don' smoke JayJustus: |
It's one thing to see 4G on your phone; It's another thing for the 4G to even come close to meeting expectation. What is the need of seeing 4G on your phone when you cannot stream football live using MTN when with H+ on etisalat, i can stream football? JayJustus: |
ETISALAT anyday. They don't disappoint me. Thier 3.75G speed is even faster than my mtn 4g internet speed. Glo is the most useless of them all-plenty data, very poor speed. |
LOOOL! No mind am. Oga Nosa, smell well well. Car wey over-heat no dey catch fire again. Benue is peaceful; Benue is safe Principe67: |

How can he say that this is a picture of a 7 years old? Is it supposed to be his football age? nghubs1: |

When did you start caring for ZakZaky? Have you forgotten that your HERO inflicted more pains on him by killing two of his sons? SamuelAnyawu: |
Stop feeling cool with your write up because is totally baseless and false. Yes, Global fleet aquired about 28% of AP during OBJ's regime, it was thesame OBJ that reversed the deal and sold 40% to Femi Otedola who later converted both AP and Zenon Oil to Forte Oil. Yes, Jimoh Ibrahim may have failed in somany ways(eg Air Nigeria, Newswatch) but he still remains a very successful business man. Did his Nicon staff say they dont receive their salaries as at when due or are you expecting him to start splashing money on them and depositing money in their account for no reason? Are you also aware that just like Jimoh, some Dangote's staff earn as little as nothing? Please ask yourself this question sir; what was Mimiko's business and how many people were under his payroll before he became a politician? Be objective. Anyway, i am fully in support of Oke as the next governor Ratello: |
LOOOL! Wetin concern Buhari there? No be under PDP regime dem start the matter? You don forget say court force DSS and EFCC to leave him house? Meanwhile, why are you guys not blaming Wike and Fayose for making Modu Sheriff your chairman? OgunNewsFact: |
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! They are now rejecting appointments. Nigeria will soon be better. Political appointments are no longer lucrative as it used to |
Why is she shouting upandan? Firstly, they are not even married; She's just a mistress. I stand to be corrected Secondly, few days ago, Fani Kayode clearly stated that FG should fight him man-to-man. Was he paranoid then? |
LIE! SBS as they are called is the navy special squad and it started in 2009 when GEJ wasn't the president. They select a few physically and mentally fit personnel who go through rigorous training sessions from underwater warfare school in Navy town Ojo(close to sailing club), before they are sent to train both in the creeks and in the desert GBTYO: |
What do you want me to learn? You keep saying 'please learn' but you are not saying anything. I am sure you're not from Osun, neither do you even have a PVC. I wont be surprised if i am even arguing with a minor who has not reached the age to vote but.......

|

You're weeping because there's no longer free money for you to eat again. LOL 1. GEJ started the whole Shiite issuse that led to Buratai's freedom of movement, being violated 2. The herdsmen you are talking about are empowered/unleashed by GEJ.FYI, GEJ was made their grand patron and they also contributed to GEJ's election. 3.INEC has been dependent since the day GEJ forcefully collected governance from Fayemi and gave it to Fayose. 4. As you rightly stated, they are only alleged corrupt by you and your likes sir/ma. Your likes are actually the reasons why anti corruption will not work because you keep crying fowl. 5.Do you have a prove on the amount paid to clear grass or you are just reading from 5th columnists? 6.Was it MTN that told you that they gave bribe? 7.Murtala Nyako as a sitting governor was ejected and evicted by GEJ. His accounts were also frozen but APC didn't complain. 8.His assets had been declared publicly along time ago except if you're not in Nigeria. You can also get a copy from CCB. 9.5,000 stipend can only be given from revenue generated. Your beloved party stole all and sent avengers to destroy facilities. 10.His goodwill is still intact except for people like you whom he never got the goodwill from. Aisha is still his wife the last time i checked. I wont criticise him for no reason. Carmal90: |
