where is Ideye in that list? People are complaining about Emenike's goal drought without knowing that since Ideye left the squad our point man is finding it difficult to score thereby playing deep cos Emenike and Ideye partners so well in the forward.

PoliticsRe: President Jonathan & Emir Sanusi Reconcile In Abuja by camelus: 10:31pm On Oct 30, 2014
idris93:
After nearly a year of bitter relations, President Goodluck Jonathan and the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, met Thursday in Abuja and reconciled differences that once drove both men to the extremes of their offices.

https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2014/10/Sanusi-lamido-with-jonatha-523x349.jpg

Officials at the meeting say the president urged peace, and announced that he had nothing against the emir and that he had forgotten everything that happened. In return, Mr. Sanusi also preached peace saying he too had let go of the past. The president and the emir later met privately for about 15 minutes, according to our sources.

Mr. Sanusi and his entourage left for Kano shortly after, and were on their way to the Abuja airport at the time of this report.

I have never heard of him until he got elected. I don't really care about who heads the NFF, but anyone that comes in and starts blabing about hiring a foreign coach even before he takes his seat is TOTALLY wrong for Nigeria football. As soon as he came, he started sounding like a thief. We know how former NFF presidents shared dollars in the name of hiring a foreign coach.

As for Keshi, he will select whomever he thinks will win a match for him. He knows we're walking a tight rope now. As a matter of fact, letting Keshi go now is giving him an easy way out. He must qualify Nigeria now or be shamed.

Catholic bishops scrap 'welcome' to gays
Last updated: 2 hours ago
Synod dumps "welcoming homosexuals" section from draft document on ministering, after arguments over tone and content.
Catholic bishops have rejected a landmark welcome to gays, showing deep divisions at the end of a two-week meeting sought by Pope Francis to chart a more merciful approach to ministering to Catholic families.
The bishops failed on Saturday to approve the section on ministering to gays, originally titled "welcoming homosexuals", the content of which had already been watered down to accommodate objections.
A two-paragraph section of the final agreed document was titled "Pastoral attention towards persons with homosexual orientations". The previous, three-paragraph version had been called "Welcoming homosexuals".
The earlier version spoke of "accepting and valuing their sexual orientations" and giving gays "a welcoming home".
The final version eliminated those phrases and most of the other language that church progressives and gay rights groups had hailed as a breakthrough.
The final version repeated earlier church statements that gays "should be welcomed with respect and sensitivity" and that discrimination against gays was "to be avoided".
It also stressed "there is no foundation whatsoever" to compare homosexual marriage to heterosexual marriage, calling heterosexual marriage "God's plan for matrimony and the family".
Conservatives had harshly criticised the draft on the basis of current church doctrine: that gay sex is "intrinsically disordered", but that gays themselves are to be respected, and that marriage is only between a man and woman.
Two paragraphs concerning the other issue at the synod - whether divorced and civilly remarried Catholics could receive communion - also failed to pass.
"We could see that there were different viewpoints,'' said Oswald Gracis, a cardinal from India, when asked about the most contentious sections of the report on homosexuals and divorced and remarried Catholics.
Walter Kasper, a German cardinal and the leader of the progressive camp, said he was "realistic'' about the outcome.
Francis insisted in the name of transparency that the full document be published with the voting tally.
The document is to serve as the basis for future debate leading up to another meeting of bishops next October.

Reference:
I will say the cup winning golden eaglet gaffer who is presently handling the flying eagles if and only if he is allowed to see his team grow into the senior national team which means it is not for this year or the next or the next. We have experimented enough with coaches. Now let us experiment with players, with groups of players who know each other. It is time we take the gamble and graduate almost an entire cadet team into the senior team en-bloc, coach included because quite frankly we have not reaped the rewards of 30 years of age grade soccer in any way shape or form. And the system of mixing older and younger players isn't working well.

I mean we have presently perhaps the newest set (combined fewest caps) of players ever to grace the eagles' nest and two years down the line the team looks painfully worn out. It is not working. The new wine is ruined by the old wineskin. We need fresh ideas not just new faces and that's why the NFF's Technical Department must be created.
I concur to ur write up,thats a good one !
SportsArsene Wenger Apologizes For Pushing Jose Mouriho by camelus(op): 10:26pm On Oct 12, 2014
Jose Mourinho (right) and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger are kept apart by the fourth official Jonathan Moss during the Premier League football match between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on October 5, 2014
From the Yahoo News Sport:

The Frenchman, talking to French television show Telefoot, said: “They gave too much importance to this story. In hindsight I think I should not have reacted at all, it’s not a way to behave on a football field.

“I always regret any signs of violence and I apologise, but that’s a part of games where everything is manic. And then we have quite a substantial past. Did Mourinho provoke me? That is how I felt. I did not enter Chelsea’s technical area.”

The claim that he didn't enter Chelsea's technical area is a strange one, considering that the video below, which picks up shortly after the shove, shows that he did.
