Ok,U want to use SE that are still being groomed which is barely a year plus to beat Spain national team that have been together for close to a decade...I hear u what's an ingratitude .
Listen up Guy this SE squad is a winning team playing with discipline, hunger for success, determination etc infact i am proud of them.
We have just identified their problem at international level,which include;

.We need two more young prolific stand by Strikers with shooting accuracy that will be substituting Emenike and another one that can replace him should in case he got injured.
So our job ur job is to help look @ League across the Globe lets get names and suggest to Keshi while he do his own search too cos we should help provide solution to our problems.
.Tho i will blame Ideye for missing open chances and not scoring numerous goals in this Confed tourney but he is still far moree better than Akpala,Babtunde,Ujah who could not even score and could not provide assist too. If Ideye is played behind a good Striker he does well he Provided Emenike with good assist in the AFCON do not forget so soon,Ideye has strength and can hold ball very well watch him again.
.Ahmed Musa too greatly improved as the game progresses we need him while Muhamed Gambo need more playing time too. I will blame Keshi for not bringing in Gambo against Tahiti when Ideye and Musa were busy squandering our chances.
.Methink say calling Osaze back will disorganise that team lets do search for young Players who will lead attacking line for our dear SE and get blended before the World Cup.
Up Eagles !

Why would Victor Moses get injured just before the qualifiers and Confed? Why is Emenike's injury this protracted? Why was Onazi injured just before d tournament? Then the only player who showed promise rakes a very silly sprain in an albeit minor scruffle- Oduamadi...it was always going to end this way

nickxtra: Super Eagles with the exception of Mikel, are average. The strikers, particularly Brown Ideye and Ahmed Musa are so dissapointing. Ideye has no business being in that team, Musa is a good player, but he is crude and abokish. Fegor Ogude plays karate instead of football. My younger brother currently with Auchi poly football Club can do better than Ogude. Eyeama usual good abilities are diminishing by every game. Sunday Mba has been been opposite of himself, may be because he has issues to settle with Warri Wolves fc and Rangers. Echiejile, mikel and Ambrose now do the functions of the strikers because the strikers don't know what to do when it matters most. Spain will win.

Who is calling Martins again that played in the qualifying match and peformed far below average, Pleaseo Club side is not National team.
Mandela couldnt possibly have been Nigerian If he were, he wouldnt have fought for the freedom of his country like he did.. He would have simply collected the money and contracts promised him by the whites and travel t the U.S with Winnie Mandela.. Then write a book at old age titled 'O Nigeria.. My struggle, my fight'.. grin
True talk !
PoliticsIf Mandela Were A Nigerian By Okey Ndibe by camelus(op): 4:42pm On Jun 20, 2013
If Nelson Mandela were a Nigerian, he would never be treated in a hospital within his country. God forbid! At the slightest sign of ill health, he would be airlifted to a hospital in Germany, the UK, the US, France, or Saudi Arabia. Any Nigerian doctor who comes close to him – much less touches him – would immediately be arrested and charged with treason. An SSS interrogator would ask the hapless doctor, “You dey craze? So you wan kill de man?”
If Mr. Mandela were a Nigerian, not only would he be in a foreign hospital, he would commandeer an entire wing of the said hospital. No government official would ever give Nigerians updates on his progress or prognosis. Hell, no! In fact, the only statement the government would ever issue is to deny that the man is hospitalized. Some spokesman would insist that the old man went abroad on vacation, to get some well deserved rest. You see, Nigerian officials – from the president down to the municipal chairman – are fond of boasting that they’ve “totally transformed” Nigeria, this or that state, or this local government area or another. Yet the last thing these human transformers would ever do is take a vacation in the country they’ve ostensibly transformed!
If Mr. Mandela were a Nigerian, a league of pastors and imams would take to the press each day to tell us what “God” allegedly told them about the man’s condition. One pastor – or imam – would say God told him to warn Nigerians to pray interminably and fast furiously to ensure the ailing elder’s survival. Another would declaim that God confided in him that Mr. Mandela did not hearken to some divine instruction – and so was put on Saint Peter’s list of guests to expect at the pearly gates. Yet another imam – or pastor – would declare that a clique of witches and wizards had descended on the sick man, determined to doom him. If he’s to survive, he must personally contact the clairvoyant imam or pastor to receive special instructions on how to win the spiritual warfare.
Mr. Mandela is a man of comfortable means. He made a modest fortune from advances and royalties on books as well as earnings from his work as a widely sought, handsomely rewarded speaker on lecture circuits. He also received a Nobel Peace Prize that came with a handsome sum. In a word, he’s worked – and worked hard – for his money.
Now, if Mr. Mandela were a Nigerian, he would be considered a capital fool for working at all to earn money. To work hard would make him nothing less than a mumu, a Nigerian parlance that suggests somebody is a step or two worse than a fool. No, he would simply announce himself, Obasanjo- or Anenih-like, as a major “stakeholder.” And then, pronto, some currency tap would start gushing cash onto the deep pockets of his agbada. (Which reminds me: if Mr. Mandela were a Nigerian, he would not be permitted to sport those silly shirts he’s seen in. With those shirts, who’s going to be able to tell oga apart from his houseboys? He must exchange them for an endless line of lavishly embroidered agbada, accentuating his image as a human god).
If Mr. Mandela were a Nigerian, he would have enough cash stashed away in foreign vaults to make the Forbes list of the world’s billionaires. Heck, Nigerian civil servants who manage pension funds are billionaires! Yet – like most Nigerian billionaires – he would not be in a haste to alert the editors of Forbes to the size of his assets. Heh, it’s not worth the trouble; who wants to be playing hide-and-seek with armed robbers and kidnappers? He may not confide in Forbes, but a Nigerian Mandela would be the proud owner of numerous oil blocks. He would be entitled to a “security vote” that nets him, at least, a billion naira per month. He would own mansions in several European capitals and resort locations. He would own private jets, his own private army (otherwise known as thugs), a university or two, a private cathedral or mosque, controlling shares in several banks, and enough high-priced cars to run an automobile dealership.
Mr. Mandela is an enlightened man, a towering moral figure who commands respect around the world, a lawyer, author and reader. Yes, he has the stamina to put in the months and years it takes to write a book. And he is capable of staying still for hours or days to read book. If he were a Nigerian big man, he’d love to have a book or two to his name – but the content would be cliché-riddled speeches written by bored, ill-educated and often cynical amanuenses. As for reading a book, perish the thought! A friend of mine once told a joke about one of Nigeria’s illiterate moneymen. According to him, this mind-ravaged rich man laughed at people who, behind his back, whispered that he was unlettered. “I can read,” said the traduced businessman. “I only care to read the amount on my checks!” That’s what a Nigerian Mandela would learn to do.
If the legendary Mandela were a Nigerian, he would not be addressed simply as Mister. On Mandela’s first visit to Nigeria, he was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by – if my memory serves me – the University of Maiduguri. Since then, Nigerian newspapers and magazines as well as broadcast media have taken to addressing the global icon as “Dr.” Mandela. In the Nigerian media’s imagination, by bestowing the prefix “doctor” on Mandela, they have somehow enhanced the man’s standing in the world. What would the man be without this generous beneficence from Nigeria by way of Maiduguri?
It’s conventional wisdom in Nigeria that titles, however hollow, matter. In many quarters, the quality of a person’s mind is of no consequence. What matters is self-advertisement, buttressed shamelessly in the adornment of antiquated, silly honorifics. So we went from addressing people as Chief (which has no meaning, really) to calling them High Chief, Double Chief, or Double High Chief – terms that inspire embarrassment on behalf of those who flaunt them. If Mandela were Nigerian, he would be identified as Triple High Chief (Sir) Barrister Nelson Mandela, GCFR, Tigbuo Zogbuo 1 of Igboland, Aare Baba Dudu 1 of Yorubaland, Alhaji Magajin Biu 1 of Hausaland, etc, etc. He would be overfed, weaned off his sprite, sportsman’s physique. With his kind of figure – a flat belly and all – you can’t even aspire to become a local government councilor in Nigeria! Day and night, his staff and harem would ply him with pomo stew, cow leg pepper soup, pounded yam and egusi washed down with six bottles of lager per session – until he’s appropriately fattened.
If Mr. Mandela were a Nigerian, his claim to being a hero would be put to the ethnic test. Only members of his ethnic group would consider him an exemplary man. To others, he would be an object of ambivalent response: a hero today, a villain tomorrow, depending on what he’s said on what issue.
If Mr. Mandela were a Nigerian, he would never have spent more than one week in prison. Why, the traditional rulers from his district would have gone as a delegation to his jailers, apologized on his behalf for his unruly opposition to the apartheid machinery and pledged that they would ensure that he show appropriate respect to constituted authority. He would then be released – cameras clicking to capture the moment – to the “royal fathers,” guarantors of his docility, quiescence and submission to the powers-that-be.
If Mr. Mandela were a Nigerian, he would not be an ex-president, but a president-for-life. His kinsmen would have hired a dibia, babalawo or malam to cure his “madness” when he decided to step aside after only one term as president. A Nigerian Mandela would not be subject to any constitutional limits on presidential terms; the constitution would be subject to him. Any part of the constitution that runs counter to his whims and caprices would be instantly amended or – better still – ignored.
To make a short story long, if Mandela were a Nigerian, then the man and his stupendous moral capital would not exist!

LETTER TO DSTV ON BBA FROM AFRICAN YOUTH by Alex Osagie (edited)

I urge and plead with All African Youths, let's ask DSTV to give us a BBA where African Youths go and discuss, proffer solution to Africa's Problems, not this morally loosed show where single parents who can't keep their relationship go into the house to show their fallen breasts, drug addicts, porn stars, ill-mannered people mix up and get rewarded.
Haba! Having sex in the public with somebody who is not your spouse? We can make this the last of that valueless program. Initially, it was okay but recently sexual immorality has found its ugly head into the show.
BBA sells immoral behaviour and attracts lots of fans who enjoy it. They even prefer open sex every day. There is no single thing I learn from the programme, except promoting sex and immorality. It's time we ignore it.
How long does it take to imbibe a habit? 21 days and BBA runs 90days, subtly making people addicted to bad habits and destroying the values we hold dear that has built our families & homes.
Say NO to TV shows without value, reality shows with rich immorality is a NO NO!. PLEASE REBROADCAST AND DROP YOUR VIEWS

Honestly, I don't want to see the likes of Ogude, Mba, Ideye, Musa and Oboabona in that Team forever after this confederations cup! Come to think of it Nairalanders, are we fools? out of over 160million Nigerians in this country, is this the best team we could come up with to represent us! it's just a total disgrace. Their football play was bad and pathetic, no grip on the ball.. even keshi was watching with dis-belief. The era of collecting bribes from people who are not worthy of positions they occupy in this country keeps killing the nation at a whole in a geometric progression! If it was based on talents alone, most of the players we see there today in super eagles wearing our jerseys to represent us will all be ball-boys. The problem with super-eagles today is the problem with Nigeria and it has turn into a Natural phenomenon
I hate it when People criticise without providing solution,U tell us the Players u do not want in the team and their replacement then we will bissect and dissect those Players.

PoliticsAPC Has Decided To Zone The Presidential Slot To The North Ahead Of The 2015 E by camelus(op): 9:58am On Jun 16, 2013
The opposition mega alliance under the aegis of All Progressives Congress (APC) has decided to zone the presidential slot to the North ahead of the 2015 elections.
This is the outcome of a series of meetings held between top leaders of the coalition last week where it was decided to cede the slot to the North which has been clamouring for a return of power to the region.
It was confirmed that the party leaders are, however, battling to assuage members of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) over their objection to the decision to cede the national chairmanship slot to the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
It was learnt that ANPP leaders were originally told that the party would produce the chairman of the coalition, but this calculation was tilted in favour of ACN following Senator Bola Tinubu’s intervention.
A meeting between leaders of the Joint Committee on Merger of the parties, which was addressed by Tinubu last week, attempted to calm the ANPP as it was affirmed that the presidential slot had been zoned to the North.
The ACN national leader was said to have told the meeting that the ANPP should exercise patience till when presidential campaigns start to push for its candidate, since the position had been ceded to the North.
It was, however, confirmed that the merging parties have agreed to cede the national secretary position to the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and that former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, is in pole position to occupy the seat.

Foreign AffairsNorth Korea Offers 'high-level Talks' With US by camelus(op): 9:39am On Jun 16, 2013
North Korea offers 'high-level talks' with US

Pyongyang calls on US to set time and venue for talks to help ease tensions on peninsula, North's state media reports.
North Korea has proposed high-level talks with the US aimed at discussing the countries' nuclear weapons programmes and easing tension on the peninsula, state media has said.
"We propose high-level talks between the North and the US to secure peace and stability in the region and ease tension on the Korean peninsula," the North's National Defence Commission said in a statement on Sunday, carried by the Korean Central News Agency.
The North is willing to have "serious discussions on a wide range of issues, including the US goal to achieve the world free of nuclear arsenal", it said, urging the US to set the time and venue for the talks.
There was no immediate response from Washington, but President Barack Obama's envoy on North Korea said on Friday that while the US is not averse to talking with Pyongyang, the bar for resuming engagement is higher in the wake of repeated threats and provocations.

Subsiding tensions
The invite comes days after the North reportedly called off talks with South Korea.
But overall, the rare proposal comes amid subsiding tensions, which softened in May and June, as Pyongyang made overtures to re-establish dialogue with South Korea and the US.
In a notable shift in propaganda in Pyongyang, posters and billboards calling on North Koreans to "wipe away the American imperialist aggressors" have been taken down in recent weeks.
Foreign analysts say impoverished North Korea often expresses interest in talks after raising tensions with provocative behaviour in order to win outside concessions.
The Korean Peninsula remains divided by a heavily fortified border.
North Korea is expected to draw attention to Korea's division in the weeks leading up to the 60th anniversary in July marking the close of the Korean conflict, which ended in an armistice.
A peace treaty has never been signed formally ending the war.

Nuclear woes
Washington's biggest worry is North Korea's nuclear weapons programme. Pyongyang is estimated to have a handful of crude nuclear devices and has been working toward building a bomb it can mount on a missile capable of striking the US.
Earlier this year, Kim Jong Un, North Korea's leader, enshrined the drive to build a nuclear arsenal, as well as growing the economy, as national goals.
Live Box 201345151344561226
Pyongyang claims the need to build atomic weapons to defend the country against what it sees as a US nuclear threat in Korea and the region.
North Korea will not give up its nuclear ambitions until the entire Korean Peninsula is free of nuclear weapons, a spokesman from the North's National Defence Commission said in a statement carried by the Korean Central News Agency.
"The denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula does not only mean dismantling the nuclear weapons of the North," the spokesman said, but also should involve "denuclearising the whole peninsula, including South Korea, and aims at totally ending the US nuclear threats" to North Korea.
After blaming Washington for raising tensions, he called on the US to set the venue and date for talks.

Man Sells Kidney To Buy Engagement Ring For Girlfriend, Gets Dumped
A hopeless romantic wants to buy his girlfriend the engagement ring of her dreams, but alas, he doesnt have the means to make it happen. Many men will sell some of our possessions to raise the extra cash. Weve seen guys trade in cars, guitars and collectibles, but this resourceful one in the Ukraine decided to sell his kidney on the black market. Our Ukrainian friend made out with 12,300 GBP (about $21,000 USD), which according to Blue Nile would return about a two-carat, ideal-cut diamond.
The kicker: She dumped him. No word as to whether he kept the receipt to get the kidney back.
Apparently the concept of make sure she’ll say yes before getting the ring and proposing isnt a widely known one, as Cowboys Receiver Roy Williams faced a similar issue (minus the kidney sale) when he presented his girlfriend with a $75,000 engagement ring.
Investigations revealed that kidneys are at times sold for as much as $25,000. Though most sellers agree that greed and the zeal to pay off their debts are the main motivating factors, they also claim the move could help save lives of those in need of the organs.

Obuh Discontent With NFF Over Non-Payment Of Salaries And Allowances.
Posted by: Omaku on June 14, 2013
Flying Eagles head coach John Obuh has voiced out his disconsolation over the welfare condition of the team and its technical crew in far away Germany training camp.
The 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey is barely three days away and the team handler is yet unhappy over their lack of concentration, particularly the technical crew.
Speaking from the Flying Eagles camp in Germany on yesterday, Obuh intimated that his family and dependents and that of those of his technical crew members back home are in dire stress following the failure of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to pay up him and his crew’s salary.
He claimed that the NFF also owes them undisclosed backlog of allowances which amounts to millions of naira.
“It is difficult to be saying this because when you open up on some of these things, people may read different meanings to it,” said Obuh. “But I must tell you that my situation and to a large extent too, that of my crew members is not the best.”
“As I speak, nobody is saying anything about our salaries; I am not talking about the backlog which they promised to pay during the African Championship but which nothing has been done about.”
Before the last African Youth Championship, the coach had raised a similar alarm over unpaid salaries which were later settled in part.
The NFF are yet to respond to the claims but had disclosed to the public in recent times that they are cash-strapped.

Nigerian survives two days at sea, in underwater air pocket
13 June 2013 Last updated at 17:36
A Nigerian man has survived for two-and-a-half days trapped 30m (98ft) deep in freezing seawater.
Harrison Okene, 29, was on board the tug boat Jascon-4 when it capsized in heavy swells.
It sank to the seabed, upside down, but Mr Harrison was trapped in an air pocket and able to breathe.
Of the other 12 people on board, 10 bodies have already been found and Mr Harrison is assumed to be the only survivor.
Mr Harrison told Reuters journalist Joe Brock that he could hear fish eating the dead bodies of his fellow crew members.

Intense thirst

The Jascon-4 capsized on 26 May, about 32km (20 miles) off the coast of Nigeria, while it was stabilising an oil tanker at a Chevron platform.
Mr Harrison was working there as a cook, according to the ship's owners, West African Ventures.
Mr Harrison told Reuters he was in the toilet when he realised that the boat was beginning to turn over, and as the vessel sank, he managed to find his way to an area with an air pocket.
Mr Harrison survived in an air pocket, 30m underwater in pitch darkness
"I was there in the water in total darkness just thinking it's the end. I kept thinking the water was going to fill up the room but it did not," he said.
"I was so hungry but mostly so, so thirsty. The salt water took the skin off my tongue."
"I could perceive the dead bodies of my crew were nearby. I could smell them. The fish came in and began eating the bodies. I could hear the sound."
But after 60 hours, Mr Harrison heard the sound of knocking.
A team from the DCN global diving company had come to investigate - sent by Chevron and West African Ventures.
"We expected it to be a body recovery job," DCN spokesperson Jed Chamberlain told the BBC's Impact programme.
Mr Harrison "actually grabbed the second diver who went past him," Mr Chamberlain said, adding that the diver concerned got quite a fright.
"This changed the whole nature of the operation to a rescue operation."

Decompression

But even after Mr Harrison had been found, he still faced a complex process to bring him out safely.
Having been at such depth for so many hours, he needed time in a decompression chamber to normalise his body pressure.
Christine Cridge, a medical director at the Diving Diseases Research Centre (DDRC), advised the rescue team during this process.
"It's a situation I've not come across before," she told the BBC's Newsday programme.
"After a certain amount of time at pressure, nitrogen will dissolve into the tissues. If he'd ascended directly from 30m to the sea surface..... it's likely he'd have had a cardiac arrest, or at best, serious neurological issues.
Mr Harrison describes his story as a "miracle", but he also told Reuters: "When I am at home sometimes it feels like the bed I am sleeping in is sinking. I think I'm still in the sea again. I jump up and I scream."
Jan Messchendorp, general manager of West African Ventures said in a statement: "We are very grateful for the survival of Mr Harrison. Our thoughts continue to be with the families of the rest of the crew."
He added that the search and rescue operation has now been stopped for safety reasons.
That the Eko Atlantic project is getting lots of media coverage does not mean it is the only thing the state government is up to. Have you bothered to find out what else the governemtn has been doing in the interests of the people?

Sometimes, people come down here on nairaland and say the Lagos state government does nothing.....which Lagos state do you live in? I have lived in Lagos all my life and this state has never been this good (remember, in my lifetime so far). Now you might complain about your area but fact is; government resources are limited...and government has to prioritize areas that would generate enough income for it to carry out projects in other parts of the state. What's the point of developing an area of the state when it would earn the government anything to take care of other areas?
@ Ops Longtime Military rule has dealt with our Citizenry so much that when Democracy came People do not know the responsibilities of Govt. Are the Office holders carrying out these activities/assignments with their own Personal money. Is it taxpayers money again? I hate it when People/Masses sing praises to Govt when they are doing what they are elected to do.
And the worst part of it is that those Govt Officials will buy back those Properties, lock them up and eventually tieing huge Capital down thereby defeating the main purpose of generating income. I mercy for the Poor Masses who are usually used as a tool to achieve their selfish aim. Let me give u a simple analysis; Each and every of Nigerian Politician owns atleast 20 Duplexes and about 30 Cars on average(Those Houses and the Cars are spread across the major Cities in Nigeria). What do u call this, Is it a waste? If u doubt it u can do research yourself and come out with ur own summation.
Its high time we start enlightment on the duties and responsibilities of Govt to the Electorate.
Peace out !
