PoliticsRe: Gunmen Kill Evangelist In Maiduguri by canadaik(m): 11:37pm On Aug 08, 2012
i find it baffling to believe that some people will kill other who are defenseless and intends to cause no trouble!

This only points to one fact that ISLAM is something more than mosques, quran.....its a tool in the devil, a tool that has been prepared over the years to battle hard against christianity, of all religions Islam has been the major contender against christians, why doesnt islamists go against ifa or sango worshipers or bomb their shrines, or go against those of other believes outside christianity....they are controlled by their master satan to persecute the church and strike fear into our hearts.

The bible has foretold it, and there is only one solution, not critisim of the govt can help, but uniting together and calling on the Great God of Isreal to come and fight for his children, cause the "weapons of our warfare are not gun, and bombs" but our trust and prayer to the true and only God, living in hypocrisy will handicap God sending his deliverance to us, if Shedrach, Mesach and Abednego were not faithful, despite their heroics God would not have saved them from the burning fire!

We can change things when we go to the lord on our knees in prayer, we can conquer the world through prayer
shalom!
peace!

tunnytox: @factbox
Please i take God beg you leave Canada after finishing your studies and come back to Nigeria, na God I take beg una ok u don hear?
People like factbox are people who travelled abroad with the expectation of a red carpet welcome, factbox and the likes taught they'll be plucking money on trees, she perharps taught within 6 months she can come back to Nigeria to oppress others. You're comparing a country where once you finish your studies you can get a job, use your earnings to rent or buy your own home, car, and live a good life to a country that if you don't know somebody or warm some people's bed you can't get a job?

If after working in Canada, you still don't have money in your pocket you need to ask yourself why you have been living beyond your own means. In Canada health is free (of course you have to pay for your own medications same as UK but if you're on low income you're bound to get some help from govt), Child benefit in Canada is about $400 monthly for each child, you also get help towards paying for your child care if you have to work or study and so many other benefits that make you feel the impact of the government abound.

So when next you want to discourage people from migrating to a place like Canada, tell them its because its not a place for handouts but a place to work for your own money rather than posting about your non existent 'suffering'

My advise for people who want to migrate is to go on the right visa, be prepared to face challenges, have a focus and most importantly don't expect to be a millionaire immediately you landed, they don't plcuk money on trees in Canada or any other country YOU WORK FOR IT!
Right on point bro!

nigerian youth go and brainstorm and do sumthing meaningful for urselves and stop blaming govt. mtschewwwwww
that you are feeling miserable with your life do not mean other Nigerians in canada feels the same, not all PR or citizens will live a financially comfortable life, original white canadians self are struggling, managing 2-3 jobs and here you are moaning.....just so unfortunate, brace up and face life's challenges, except you are the prime ministers daughter, you have to put in your share of labour, some Nigerian friends here struggled for 3-4 years before things started working for them, its no magic, it's called Working hard and perseverance!

TravelRe: Canada Freezes Federal Skilled Worker Program by canadaik(m): 8:15am On Jul 01, 2012
justwise: Lower your expectation, the facilities you are enjoying in Canada was paid for by somebody and its only fair you pay your fair share. Can you tell me what Nigerian Govt does with the tax you pay in Nigeria?

If Canada is hell as you are screaming you can take the next available flight back to Nigeria, you will not be stopped by Canadian authority.
On point, some people can not just appreciate the good they have, rather they are complaining when there are lots of Nigerians who would do anything to take their place abroad!

That is part of the cultural shock. That she pays little health insurance as an international student is what she lamenting. Assuming she is to pay for consulting and lab work(the minimum a Dr takes per visit is ~$30).
@factbox, today is Canada Day, pray and thank God for the country to continue in a system that works and also reflect how U can help produce working n transparent institutions in naija when U return.

factbox: Hynmmmmmmm! after reading all the correspondent posts so far, here is my advice for all our youth back home, before i write anything i will like to aknowledge some ppl dat will get back @ me for posting dis simple truth. buh d truth still needs to be told anyways, There is no where like home HONESTLY! here i am in Hamilton Ontario Canada, i am a student here and i have couple of naija folks here too ranging from young to adults.
No big deal about abroad to be very factual ppl come back home to tell us different stories which is far different from what i saw when i got here. There is serious suffer head here despite d fact dat there are all those facilities Tonnytox talked about but yet we pay handsomely to enjoy them all, what is d essence of good facilities without money in d pocket moreso who are those lying to u ppl dat free medical for everybody dat are citizens here BLANTANT LIE ppl here just get part of it paid by the government but d biggest part of it is paid by d invalid himself.
Alot of lies ppl come back to tell us but my advice here is seeing is believing because there are lots of things to talk about buh i have no tym to type for long. EAST OR WEST HOME IS D BEST .we dont always understand dis until we see for ourselves,PEOPLE ALWAYS BELIEVE GRASS IS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE INSTEAD OF WETTING THE GRASS THEY ARE STANDING ON.
When u get here u will realise dat (Canada is urs to discover).
THIS IS A WONDERFUL TRUTH DAT NOT SO MANY PPL HERE WILL LIKE TO TELL because THEY WANT OTHERS TO COME EXPERIENCE SAME WIF THEM............... my little coin.
i find your post interesting, i am a permanent resident and i live in Manitoba and although i have not had much reason to go to hospitals but to the best of my knowledge i think health care is completely free and you only have to pay for drugs, although there are private facilities around if you can afford them, but the public system is pretty standard. the fact is that canada is not heaven, but it is way better to live than most places in the world, if you have things around you right, like being a permanent Resident, and have good friends and a good job, live in canada can be amazing!

SportsOur Own Yakubu Joins Drogba And Anelka At China by canadaik(op): 4:05am On Jul 01, 2012
BLACKBURN and Nigerian striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, is set to complete his move to Guangzhou R&F anytime from now, a top official of the Chinese Super League side said yesterday.

"The deal is almost done as he has passed his physical examination. We will make official announcement in days," vice president of the Chinese side, Lu Yi told Xinhua.

Yakubu, 29, arrived in Guangzhou on Monday night to finalise the proceedings of his transfer.

The Nigerian international admitted that he knew little about the Chinese league, saying that former Chelsea duo of Nicolas Anelka and Diedier Drogba played a part in his decision to come to China.

"To be frank, I hadn't watched a single game of Chinese league in England, but recently it has been a hot topic since the acquisition of Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba," Yakubu said.

"Some clubs in West Asia has offered me an even bigger deal than Guangzhou, but I noticed more and more high profile players are joining China. This has given me confidence," he added.

Less famous than the former Chelsea duo, Yakubu has been prolific as well. He scored 114 goals in 10 years in English leagues since he joined Portsmouth in 2002. He has been a regular for the Super Eagles since 2000 and scored 21 goals in 54 appearances.

Yakubu said that he is confident to become the top scorer of the Chinese Super League although this season is halfway.

"I will score at least 15 goals for the club, even though I only got 15-20 games to play this season," he said.

Guangzhou R&F is currently fourth on the Chinese Super League table. The club was reported to offer the Nigerian a yearly salary of 5 million Euros plus a bonus based on performance. But the club refused to comment on the report.

"The most important thing is that Yakubu has been our first choice, we believe he can be more successful than Drogba in China," Lu said.

Hilarious, our "best striker alive" is going to be the highest paid Nigerian player
