PrimadonnaO: Even if you don't believe in God, there are just forces of nature that control these things.
You can't amass wealth from ripping off other people and you think all will be well with you.
It doesn't work. Don't be deceived. It seems to have worked for all these Oba families who became Oba due to atrocities and subjugation of others perpetrated by their ancestors. Rome wiped out many countries that no longer exist while Rome still exists. Same with animal species - some are wiped out and become extinct forever, while the wicked ones who wiped them off thrive! Just saying |

Dtruthspeaker:
At the bolded! This Truth was what I was trying to elicit from you, Devil is from the word D'Evil just as we say B'day for birthday.
D'Evil is from the word The-Evil! And you have just Admitted in Truth, The Truth that Evil Exist!
Thus, There Is No Evil, without The-Evil just as there is No Wom(b)-Man without man!
So clearly you have just Admitted The Truth The The-Evil Truly Exists and therefore Contradicted yourself in saying "The-Evil does not exist"! Nonsense. Here is etymology of “devil”: devil (n.) Old English deofol, from Late Latin diabolus (also the source of Italian diavolo, French diable, Spanish diablo; German Teufel is Old High German tiufal, from Latin via Gothic diabaulus). |

ChizzyBuna: Death is a must for all living things Death is a process of transformation From one consciousness to the other
In original form You were a spirit Your spirit is attached to your father's sperm A white liquid When the sperm meet with egg. It dies This death is the beginning of a foetus This foetus grows into a baby Baby is born Baby turns to adult, gets old and dies This death is the beginning of a spirit The spirit then can come back in sperm The sperm meets egg and inject itself into egg and dies. The circle repeats itself.
Death is just a process of transformation from one dimension to another. How about the other billions of sperm that die without becoming a baby. And what spirit is atttached to the egg. Truth is you have no way of knowing any of if this! |

ChizzyBuna: God exist God is all powerful So to say that there is someone or an angel rebelling or attacking God is blasphemy.
To say God has an undefeated enemy satan till this day is blasphemy. To say that God up till now can't destroy his enemy Satan is blasphemy.
This is why I don't believe in Satan Nothing can challenge God. Nothing can fight with God.
The idea of devil is a human idea created by man to explain why bad things happen. Since God is good and rightouus God can't be responsible for bad thing So who is responsible This question bothered early Christians. So a fictional character had to be created to represent the bad and evil things. Since those bad things can't be attributed to God. Something or someone had to take the blame. And so the idea of the bad guy, the boss, the devil was created. To take blame for our animalistic behaviors.
If you kill your friend They ask you why you did it You simply blame "the devil" Why did you steal The devil made me do it Why did you kill The devil made me do it.
So devil was the guy to take blame for our extreme mistakes or evils.
When you do good and succeed They ask how you did it You say it was Good
How are you so rich? It is God's doings You still haven’t told us why bad things happen |

Elistho: Good evening nairalander's. To start, I bring to everybody's notice that this story I'm about to start is true Life.
The chats below took place this Evening (check the screenshot time)
Actually, the recession in Nigeria has pushed many youths to indulge in acts that are often frown upon in the society.
The male are now into advanced fraud, popularly known as yahoo in Nigeria.
I start.
I'm a very social person, and I love getting information. I noticed via WhatsApp that my classmate, a boy, let's call him Mr key is into Yahoo.
He posts yahoo slangs, deals, pictures, etc in his status.
This has been going on for months now, and I decided to mind my own business by not asking him want he is now into.
Actually we were friends in secondary school, not close though.
He posts pictures of himself in nice dresses, party fields, hotels, etc.
This evening, we were done discussing, something led to the other and I found myself discussing the topic I had always dreaded having with him.( Just to mind my business though)
The guy was indirectly telling me he is now a yahoo boy, and doesn't sleep at nights, undecided even made mention of buying len to prevent eye problems. cheesy
He just got admission into a polytechnic, but I don't think he is studious not serious.
He kept ranting on involving in yahoo to change his story.
Meanwhile I know the motive is clearly to belong in the high class. grin grin courtesy of WhatsApp statuses.
I began to tell him, yahoo pays but doesn't last, he shrugged me off.
More reason I dreaded having such discussions with him , i knew the type of human being he is.
Now, nairalander's, whatever need modification will be done later.
Just go straight and view the WhatsApp chats. What are your views.
Yahoo is strangely on the increase. undecided OP, too late. U can’t delete it

Akpobasajulius: ONE WAY OR ANOTHER
Discomfort like comfort is a constant in life, but one way or another we are at liberty to choose when and how to experiencce it
We can choose the discomfort of the discipline to pursue our dreams in the short term or the discomfort that results from not pursuing our dreams over a long term
We can choose also discomfort now and comfort in the future, or comfort now, and discomfort in the future
So life leaves in your hands the choice of when to experience comfort and discomfort
Amazing isn't it
Impossible is nothing, but just an opinion You can't win, if you don't play Do u really have a choice? Haven’t circumstances of your birth and type of person you are (non of which you chose) already made the choice for you?? |

AfriqueDuZuid: Its license agreement to use the shoprite to use the name, branding and logo
The Nigerian owners has rights/license to use the name in Nigeria only.
Yes theetse should be fighting for new contracts So you get it: they should be fighting for new contract. As for name, they may opt to slightly change it. Important thing is Shoprite SA has no say in their affairs |

pedrilo: u dnt understand wat is going on so keep kwayet. Organisations have corporeal existence, hence d promoters act on it behalf. Shoprite has bn sold, d new owners can giv it a new name of their choice n come up with new HR policies. Do u know d implication of such on d old shoprite employees? I bet u dnt. Wen there is a name change, it means u dnt hav any employment contract with d new company, n wit a new HR policy, ur salary n work terms may not be favourable to u n so much more. So there is need to properly end d initial employment contract n start a new one. The stewpeed hr manager dishing out instructions n sanctions is only talking to herself as she doesn't hav any binding contract wit d former staff of shoprite. U the one should keep kwayet. I dn’t think u read my comments: what they should be fighting for is a new contract that guarrantees their jobs, and any arrears paid. Not to be paid severance by the new owners to leave! |

AfriqueDuZuid: The shop rite in US are two separate entities, no history between the two.
However even thou shoprite in Nigeria will now only license the name and Branding,
management, quality and services will be up to the licenseer Stop splitting hairs. Shoprite SA is completely out of Nigeria. Shoprite Nigeria is not their franchisee in any sense of the word. Bottom line is, the workers should be fighting for a new contract which which guarantees all areas paid, and no one laid off. Instead they are fighting to be paid severance to then leave as they wish! |

SEGLIZ: does the new owner control the company's head office in south africa and branches in other African countries? I believe your answer would be placet which leaves the new owner under the franchise. the new ownerd(s) might buy over every Nigerian shoprite asset by virtue of him not changing the name it remains a franchise. except he bought over every asset belonging to shoprite down to its head office. from the indications shoprite controls majority shares in their Nigeria asset and business, leaving means they are withdrawing their controlling shares left with minimal or no shares at all. one thing is if the new owner control the Nigeria market only then he keeps paying for the use of that name which is still know as franchise. for the workers the original owner should have paid them since he didn't the new owner has inherited them which he knew before doing. he either continue with them or pay them off. he reserve no right what so ever to negotiate a new contract with them while one is still running. The Shoprite in SA no longer has anything to do with Shoprite in Nigeria. Neither are they in any way tied to quality of their services. Find out what franchise means. There is also Shoprite in US which has nothing to do with SA Shoprite. You have things confused: it is the employees that should be fighting for a new contract that guarantees their jobs and payment of any arrears. Instead they are fighting for payment of severance, with the right to choose to then leave. |

SEGLIZ: they are punishing no one, the owner could seek legal backing to bring back the previous owner to come iron out gray and hiding area not mentioned in the document that was containing the terms and conditions of change of ownership. I've seen a name change yet so every tendency the new owner bought a franchise which under the law still makes it a part of shoprite. soon he went into that contract he was buying into all liabilities and asset of the said organisation of the employees are both liability and asset as this case implies. talking of saner clime you don't inherit employees then tell them to sign new contracts you inherited them as an integral part of your asset so you treat them right. the best feasible fair deal here is pay them of then shuffle, reshuffle, organize and reorganize to get you desired structure not seeing human capital like mare tool you can use and discard at will. They bought the company not franchise. The new owners are now Shoprite. The workers union should negotiate a new contract which favors them more than the old one, with all areas paid, and with no one laid off. Instead they are fighting to be paid severance to then leave as they wish! |

omaclarry: You dont get it, if the transfer is made, the new owner will ask dem to reapply, cos they worked for shoprite and shoprite is no more, so they loose all the benefits they wia entitled at shoprite and start afresh.
Their aim is since shoprite is leaving, settle us terminate our contracts pay us off. Then if the new owners advertise for employment they can apply if they wish Shoprite is still there under new ownership. The original owners are gone. Who they are punishing are the new owners. What they should be fighting for is a new contract with all arrears paid. Not to be paid to then leave! |

It doesn't make sense to transfer workers to a new employer. The workers will just be at their mercy. Their peaceful protest is welcome. The workers are being unreasonable.
