Hello Nairalanders,

Please I need help with these visa on arrival people.Sent the mail over 3weeks back and got the ‘received’ mail back and nothing else! I kept sending reminders and they even replied at a point that they have received my mails severally but they are yet to send me the confirmation to proceed and I only have a few days left! Can I go ahead with the received mail or what else can one do?

Good day people...been a while here. My LO finally arrived on the 21st through Dr Esebede...will share my Journey so far to help others pretty soon.

I need an advice from my fellow nairalanders please. Hubby is presently around but will be returning in a few days and the SSN hasn’t come yet. Is there a way I can get him to notarize here in Dallas for Lo’s passport before he leaves?

Kindly advice on how we should go about this please. His travel date cannot be changed cos we left other Los back home . Thank you

Hello Everyone ...I have a burning question here... Is it true that if one declares during medicals that she is pregnant PPR won’t be issued until after the due date? Even if the due date is more than 6months after AORHas anyone experienced this please or is it just an assumption?

Hello Nairaland people, been waiting on the PPR mail for a while and got this in the mail today.... does this mean PPR and did anyone get this before PPR and how long before PPR please...just want to know the next steps to take.

See below the mail for CIC
Congratulations. You are now a candidate for immigration to Canada.
You should think about how you will find a job in your field if you become permanent resident. Starting now will give you and your family members the best chance at finding a job that matches your skills, qualifications and work experience.
You can research:
• areas where workers in your field are in high demand, and
• what is required for your job and similar jobs you might be interested in.
In most cases, the things you need to find a job in Canada are different than for immigrating. This means you might need a new assessment of your education, skills, work experience and/or language skills to get a job in your field.
Gather your documents before you come to Canada to make the process easier. For example:
• degrees
• school transcripts
• proof of work history
• employer references, etc.
In Canada, some jobs are regulated to protect public health and safety. To work in a regulated job, you will need a licence or certificate from the regulatory body for your profession in the province or territory you want to live in.
You may need to submit certain documents, upgrade your education, and get on-the-job experience before you get a license or certificate to practice. Without a license or certificate, you will not be able to work in a regulated job in Canada. It can take time to get a license in Canada. Consider working in a related job while getting your license.
There are many other resources that can help you research how to work in your job in Canada. Check the website for the province or territory you want to live in to find out more.
If you are accepted to come to Canada, you can get free services before you come that will help you:
• learn about life in Canada
• find a job
• take steps to get your credentials recognized and
• you will also learn about other free services available after you arrive in Canada.
There are also free services to help you adjust to life in Canada once you arrive.
Sincerely,
Integration and Foreign Credential Referral Office Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

optionese:

You already submitted your EE as per you had ITA and now AOR? If yes . Check the Excel sheets for progression . To know your Visa office write an email to CIC to know your VO. GCSM notes should be requested as much as you ant preferably at NA2, when moved to local VO and if you are in one stage for more than 30 days(all my opinion)

Thank you optionese. Yes I’ve been on NA2 for a while now. Will try the above suggested. Bless you.

Worried and curious! Please for how long can one delay sending one’s passport upon PPR request to ACCRA? Has anyone successfully done this before with good reason?

Also is it possible to send one’s passport from another country due to travel(I.e. America) whilst other family members send theirs from Nigeria?

Please advice and share experiences accordingly . Thanks

Hello Nairaland Family...coming out from my ghostmode...Submitted my application for EE a while back and we seem to be stuck.
1) How do I know whether my application is with LVO or Ottawa?
2) Are there things they look out for before sending some applications to LVO?
3) How soon can one request for GCMC notes without appearing desperate?

Will be looking forward to some answers please. Thank you!
