bigpicture001: It's a pity that one of his sons who studied business administration in the US and is wasteful, knowing the old man is now weak, mobilized a family pressure meeting to encourage him to hand over the riegns of diamond bank to him to manage..
He refused. but after much pressure from evryone and a seemingly first hand experience he allegedly got through his deputized Yoruba guy who leads the bank effectively on his behalf.. he believed the young man
The young man instead went into flamboyant lifestyle , failed to constantly monitor the banks other executives and ran the bank amock..
The bank was flagged by the CBN for instability, he caution his son ND tried to bright back his fmr assistance who refused to come back.. he fought foot and nail to get the bank to be healthy again
Yes , he succeeded, but it was during Emefiele era, yes, during wigwe the connection man era.. their eyes were already on his bank to take over. Meaning, no matter what he does, he will b ordered to sell the bank .
He painfully sold the bank he created from scratch and cried in a national t. V show... Wigwe the connection man bought it over straight and expanded access..
His careless son then delved into the then emerging fin tech world and created the fintech bank "carbon" which didnt also fly..
He was paid the enourmous value of his bank.. but that is not what he wanted.. he wanted a dynasty...
It is almost certain that wigwe will die someway or the other.. he broke alot of heart with his connections..
Also his heartbreaking forceful purchase of intercontinental bank.. using emir sanusi..
Wigwe hurt alot of people and so u know his end will come sooner rather than later Wow! What a story. How do u manage to know these many details? Could you write an article or a book on this? It will help to save up some history for the coming generations. |

A better approach by the governor would have been to tackle those enforcing the sit at home. If traders, businesses, schools open on Monday, there would be some agents/officers who would parade themselves threatening the traders and forcing them to pay.
The lawyer claimed this is a voluntary sit-at-home. It’s not. Even though I enjoy the Monday holidays, it’s about time it stopped. |

djbaju: Good evening everyone, please I would appreciate some guidance on this matter.
My niece, who is 27 years old, previously had a visa application refused about seven months ago. She reapplied two weeks ago, but unfortunately, her application was refused again.
In the recent application, the bank statement submitted showed an opening balance of ₦1,138,480 and a closing balance of ₦8.3 million. However, the
Entry Clearance Officer stated in the refusal letter that the closing balance was ₦1,138,480, which appears to be incorrect.
I would be grateful for advice on the best way to address this issue. Thank you. It’s possible they verified the balance from the bank |

Christ4ever: This writeup is overly sensational.
The only problem with ABU is the rigours of the academic exercises. It's more rigorous academically compared to even undergraduate programmes.
If you can't study hard, just go and "Buy" MBA from all those online foreign mushroom universities because ABU is not for you. You’re so right. Honestly, I wouldn’t even call it rigorous. It’s nothing compared to the Master’s program I once tried doing while working. That one was pure stress. Impromptu lectures, cancelled lectures, compulsory textbooks (some I’d already used in my undergrad), endless group presentations, suprise tests, waiting around for lecturers, copying notes, etc name it. I almost lost clients and business deals because of it. As a working professional, you really have no business adding all that stress. Still, I tried to push through, taking exams, meeting my supervisor for approvals at every stage(sometimes you go and he may not be in the office), submitting chapters, facing endless corrections, but it got too much and I had to discontinue. I was even supposed to resit two courses because I missed the tests , didn’t buy the books and ended with missing scripts. And no one even checked in. No emails, no calls, nothing. It’s been 3 years now. But at ABU, it was a completely different story. My supervisor actually called me when my project wasn’t moving just to check if I needed help. God bless her, she really pushed me. I finished my project and even acknowledged her in my work because she genuinely kept me going. And the results? In the first and second semester I had back-to-back CGPAs of 4.3 something. Something I couldn’t even pull off during my undergrad or that other Master’s attempt. Because here I’m more relaxed to study. Plus, it’s super affordable. No unexpected dues, no hidden costs, etc. Straightforward, manageable, and actually supportive. |
Education › Re: My First-semester Review Of The MBA Program At Ahmadu Bello University (distance by Candoit: 5:10am On Jan 09 |
I had to log into my account to drop this because I really don’t like it when people are being misled.
The review I saw feels biased and like a one off experience. It shouldn’t be used to judge or criticize the entire program.
Changing a venue this one time does not warrant a bad review for me. That’s extreme. I have written exams in both Lagos mainland and Port Harcourt. The venues may not have been central, yes, but they were not difficult to locate if you ask questions.
WhatsApp groups are already on the LMS. Most times, students do not search properly. Even quizzes and assignments are clearly set on the LMS.
The lectures are rich, and the lecturers are kind and friendly. That, I give to them. Even when students ask off questions or need clarification, they are patient and willing to help.
ABU is actually doing amazing work when it comes to quality higher education. One of the biggest advantages is the flexibility. You learn at your own pace, from the comfort of your home.
Your assessments and assignments can be done from anywhere. It’s only the exams that require a physical location. There are over 29 exam venues, so you can easily choose one close to you. These venues aren’t owned by ABU, so if there are internal issues at any venue, I believe they change it to ensure the exams go smoothly.
Even if you don’t make it in time for an exam, there are still opportunities to take it later sometimes during the week or over the weekend. They’re quite flexible, not rigid or unnecessarily strict. I’ve been late for exams before. I also couldn’t mentally handle a 7 course load last semester, so I deferred 2 courses, which I’m now taking this semester without any issues.
Even the NOUN that someone else was praising, I have a friend who studies at NOUN and it’s not as flexible. Each time she wants to register for a course, an exam, or anything of that sort, she has to travel back to locate the office, which I honestly don’t think is flexible enough.
Meanwhile, at ABU, after your initial admission process, you don’t need to go anywhere again until exam time.
I was recommended by a friend who completed the program, and based on my experience so far, I will definitely recommend ABU Distance Learning. |

360command: I disagree with you. I studied in Ghana and one of my brothers who went to a public university in Nigeria talks nasty about Ghana university. Fast forward, the time came for us to do a master program in the USA.. I had no issues getting every documents from Ghana sent to USA. My 2 bro on the other hand had to sort their way from those 9ja institutions they graduated from and eventually they sent their credentials to USA. Note: our certificate was evaluated and I was the only one who scaled through but the brother who went to UNIBEN did not scale through.
I continued with my masters but my bro had to post graduate.
The one who made mockery of me finishing from Ghana was stunned and I found in my own interest to laugh at him on everything.. getting transcripts was a problem, recommendation letter another problem, evaluation of result na k-leg.
I can vehemently say that many Nigerians who studied out of Nigeria never bribes their way through to pass exams ; if there are it will be a few. But I cannot say the same for our Nigeria university. Note: I studied and finished from a Nigeria university together with all my brothers but I can tell you that our university is useless.. Did you read the message trail before disagreeing and agreeing?. |

Family › Re: 6 Reasons You Should Avoid People Pleasing by Candoit: 10:11am On Dec 14, 2020 |
Fuckingmallam45: Habits you should stop doing immediately
Stop pleasing everyone. Follow your own convictions, NOT what others expect from you. Stop pampering yourself. Growth is found OUTSIDE your comfort zone.
Stop being distracted. We are the most distracted generation in history. No FOCUS, no results.
Stop relying on others. Your mama won’t save you anymore. NOTHING is free in life. Take accountability for your future.
Stop expecting instant satisfaction. Patience, PERSISTENCE and perspiration are your best friends.
Stop relying on motivation to act. Create the daily HABITS that will lead to achieving your goals.
Stop abusing your body. Eat HEALTHY, and you will look healthy, feel healthy and think healthily. Eat junk and you will feel like junk.
Stop surrounding yourself with negative people. We can’t change people, but we CAN change the people that we surround ourselves with. Stop resisting change. Staying stuck in the past has PAINFUL consequences.
Stop fearing failure. If you are not failing, you are not trying HARD enough. I love your write-up and I've written it in my jotter. Thank you for sharing |
