Family › Re: Have You Been Betrayed Before? Share Your Story, You Might Heal by Candoit: 1:06pm On Apr 14, 2020 |
My betrayal stories are mainly from childhood.
As a child, my parents promised to buy me a bicycle, they didn't.
I used to lend my mother money I saved. As a student, most times I skipped snacks or trekked home to save something and my mother would borrow it promising to pay back. Well, she didn't.
In Jss1, we had a class project to make any object with clay. Somehow someone accidentally smashed my clay pot cos it was still wet and I had nothing to present other than a funny looking pot I tried to fix. Everyone laughed at me including my best friend. It was even another classmate that tried helping me out while my so called best friend kept shining teeth. Well, that was the end of the friendship till SS3. Childish mentality though....
Well, these are the betrayals that mattered cos somehow they stuck. Betrayals after these didn't stick cos I never took university friends and colleagues as real friends. Real friends ended in secondary school. |

rapid101: well, mine was wen I was in Benin I ran laundry and to some extent it was successful. I had 3boys working for me . I had a keke which I use in delivering to my customer who re in far distance. then I had a friend who told me about a business which he ll like use to go into. the business was into phone accessories coupled with phone parts. I agreed, I rented the shop at oba market, did furnishing and other body works. during this time I borrowed money from lapo microfinance 300k, borrowed money from money lender about 580k. then I gave osas my friend to come to Lagos to buy the goods we re going to sell in our shop. osas come Lagos, osas no come back. I was so worried I had to go to his family house to know if his back but they said they didn't see him. I called his number and his number was switched off. call his gf and she said she doesn't know his were about. after a month I heard osas don go Malaysia. I ran back to his family house to ask his pple if it true. low and behold osas don travel and he knew I borrowed almost all those money for the business. I almost died. the pressure started coming in as to pay the loans I collected back. I had to sell my two washing machine, my dryer, and my keke and other tins from my shop and house to pay some of the debt. I had to let go of my two staff till I cud pay the money. but after every tin I found Benin uninteresting again cus I Ve lost every tin I Ve built over the years because of one person. I had to move from my room and palour selfcon to a one room, face me I face you, cus I cudnt afford it. my gf left me cus I too de complain money no de as b4. after the whole gbas gbos I relocated to Lagos for a fresh start as not kill my self cus of too much tinking and pressure. till today I pray for osas were ever he is, he ll find good in all he does. but I ll never trust any body again not even my family member. note trust is very expensive So sorry bro. Jaysleeves: I was betrayed at work by my superior and it cost me my job, there's a document called P.T.W. " Permit to work document ". It's a written legal document that grant permission and authorization to commence a task. Usually high risk task, my immediate boss and i are both signatories to that document, i.e. I have to sign and my immediate boss as well. I did my part. Inspect work areas, got authorized by the PM and only needed my direct boss to sign to commence operation. I called him on radio as I was on the site. I.e an high rise tower of 34 floors and we were on the 34th level, My boss gave me a verbal permission to tell the guys to commence work even without him signing the permit. I was adamant and reluctant saying it's was against ethical practice, but he insisted that there isn't any problem. So I gave the go ahead only to be called that the companies "HSE Manger" is on site and on her way to supervise our activity, I was worried but not bothered as I was only following instructions from senior supervisor beside he is to take the blame. How wrong was I, to my uttermost surprise my boss denied me and claim he wasn't even aware of the designated task. I was shocked, I couldn't even say a word other workers came to my aid and said he was lying but all fell on deaf ears. This is a man I trusted so much as I have never in my life thought that this man can do such, my appointment was terminated for incompetency. It's painful but I have forgiven him. My only mistake was TRUST. This is terrible! Its a normal trend where I work. People are always saving their face at the detriment of others. I refuse to belong to this group |

I really do not like your lifestyle. You are in a relationship with a woman you have no future intention towards. Now, u both are co habiting and it's still a problem cos you cannot fend for her. What then do you want from her and why keep deceiving the poor girl?
You'd be a more heartless fellow if you tell that girl to go outrightly. Tell her u want to travel or visit a family member close and you wouldn't want her to stay home alone. Don't send her empty handed, give her some of ur food stuff or something. She'd go happily. |

I personally think you should be grateful to your aunt. Her outspokenness towards you made u fight to ensure you didn't end up like she said. She didn't say that for nothing. You must have really allowed youth exuberance to carry u away then. About her own children, it's sad. Most mothers are weaker towards disciplining their own children. It's just unfortunate. For the fact that she opened up to a stranger instead means you can't be opened up to. There is a word called communication and it is not for fancy in any relationship. So, use it!
Lastly, for you to be able to come up with this childish game who knows what other childish behaviours you must have displayed in the so called relationship for her to decide not to treat you seriously. |

So far the weddings I've been attending goes well, no drama like such. Except for the last one which was held in my church. I guess they were low on budget and didnt want to rent a hall. So, immediately the church wedding was over they asked everybody including the couple to go outside so the decorators could arrange the church for a reception. That was strange to me as I haven't seen such. We had to wait outside for up to 40mins. But my friend is married today. Done and dusted. |

Personally m a shy person, and I'd rather have just family and few friends around, and be comfortable. Than seeing people I don't know at all.
+Its a one day event people would still forget about the wedding day. It's life after the wedding that matters.
Oh well last time I explained this to my mum she gave me a death glare Family people don't forget the wedding day. Its a day you'd either be liked or hated for life. They would always refer to that day. Only friends and guests might forget |
Events › Re: Nigeria Wedding Drama: Share Your Experience by Candoit: 9:59am On Apr 01, 2020 |
Litigant: October wedding, the bride created bridesmaid WhatsApp group since early August o, for us to choose style and all. She added the tailor too. The tailor was sending some complicated Beyonce styles , we all said noooo, please make a simple style, we sent simple and finer styles, this tailor refused, said the one she chose is what she will make . We should not worry, it will be fine... Sent tons and tons of measurements for us to do and send to her.
A day before wedding, we all went there early on friday, so that we can check out the dress and incase if there is any adjustments to do. We call tailor Taya, she didn't pick, waited for the tailor o in our hotel room, the bride called and called...for where She didn't pick, since morning
She came around 10pm. Rushed it with 2hefty bags...
So sorry I've been busy but the dresses are ready now, please if I call your name come for your dress. Omo this woman remove dress and it was nothing close to the picture she sent, oversize, ugly, she hasn't even fixed the hands, just the body. She just made a gown with ugly flair without hand, same size for everyone, biiig
We all looked at ourselves in disbelief, wetin be this? Don't worry the hand won't take long to fix, please everyone come and wear and let's see the adjustment to make . It's just to adjust and put the hand, it won't take long. She came alone o, no apprentice or someone to help her.
We all know say we don enter one chance, for God's sake the wedding is in few hours, and our dresses isn't ready yet? Since August?
Okay now lemme burst your bubble, she told the chief bridesmaid she would bring her dress in the morning for her, guess what? She never even cut am God is my witness I'm not making this up
Okay start the adjustment and fixing of hand, let's use the whole night to fix this..she said she will come first thing the next morning, that she need to rush home. Hmmmm gave us all the nonsense assurance.
We started calling this woman from 5am in the morning, the makeup artist came, did everyone makeup, no cloth to wear, chief bridesmaid don't even have any hope atall, nothing, 6am, 7am, 8am almost 9 before she rushed over, sweating, service starts 10:30. The bride was ready, dressed and all, nobody to follow her, not one single soul, we were all tying wrapper, she started crying, deep tears, cursing the woman, she was hoping that atleast one person gown among us will be ready, so the person can follow her to church to help adjust her gown, veil and help with all the general help bestlady do give... no one was ready o.. makeup ready but nothing to wear. Omo this bride was saaaaaaadddd, we had to drag her out of the room before pesin go faint. the bride's people were downstairs, waiting for her to come down because service go soon start.... iyawo where are you, we are late ooo come ooo
The tailor didn't even touch our dress, she brought out the chief bridesmaid material and was cutting and recutting
Omo this Tori long ooo That tailor needs to be arrested and never permitted to work again. U mean no gown at all at last? |
