Those numbers from 1-17 are the levels, while the numbers on the top from 1-15 are the steps, therefore the salary of a level 8 step 4 official under CONPSS salary is the figure #879,772 divided by 12 which is #73,314.33 ( note; before all deductibles i.e tax, union fee, pension etc.)

Also note, it's not a must to go through all those steps before moving to another level and as you move to another step the figure go in accordance with the payment structure.

Going by recent adjustment, should be more than this by the time for payment of April Salary

CONPASS is for paramilitary agencies viz NSCDC, NIS, FFS, NCorrectionalS excluding Nigeria Customs Service.
CONPSS is Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure for core Ministries excluding Justice, Petroleum and Aviation. It also includes some parastatals such as NTA, Railway, NIPOST, Population Commission, VON (although they are already proposing a salary increment) and a host of others. You may want to avail your self of information on CONSOLIDATED SALARY STRUCTURES FUNDED BY NATIONAL TREASURY. There are a lot.

We also have SPECIAL SALARY STRUCTURES FUNDED BY NATIONAL TREASURY

and then we have SELF FUNDED AGENCIES

As long as it's Federal, you can be transferred to any state. NDLEA pay is also Okay.

It will take effect from April 2022 with arrears of Jan. - March 2023 paid. However, this figure you are quoting may not be correct.
I heard the peculiar allowance is 40%. 40% of what? Basic salary? Don't forget that the current structure already has some allowances embedded in it. So it might not be 40% of basic.

Anyways, congrats to the civil servants on CONPSS. That existing structure is too poor.

With the approval of Peculiar allowances.. BSc in NPC, Railway and others under the salary structure should get up to 110k or more. Their salary is too poor... Congratulations to them...
